Food / What is your favorite Polish Vodka? [653]
I wonder why everybody is saying "Zubrowka with apple juice", as it's not even clear vodka. It's good for drinks, but truth to be told, in Poland it's considered primarly for women. If you want to drink shots in "oldschool" polish wedding/birthday style, zubrowka is not good.
Imho, as a polish citizen with some experience, the list of best polish vodkas should look this:
Good and cheap vodkas - Luksusowa, Sobieski, Zoladkowa gorzka czysta, Absolwent (not that good, but bearable)
Better vodkas - Wyborowa, Pan Tadeusz
Luxury vodkas - Belvedere, Chopin
Good flavoured/herbal vodkas - Krupnik, Zoladkowa gorzka (original), Wisniowka, Cytrynowka.
The vodka of choice for me is Wyborowa or Zoladkowa, as they are good and reasonably priced (at least in Poland). Krupnik is great in cold months for warming.
And of course most important thing is that if you drink vodka in shots it should be ice cold (except for flavoured/herbal ones). Cheers.
