UK, Ireland / Why are Polish people, especially women, so disrespectful toward the English? [437]

I know quite a few polish people and have never felt disrespected. The polish people that i know welcome me into their home, are always happy to help me improve my polish, invite me into their conversations and a couple of them have become good friends and are two of the nicest people i have met. just my observation.

Language / "Hilarious" Mistakes? (Esp. Across Polish and other Slavic Languages) [74]

Why are you feeling so disheartened because one person politely corrected you about pan/pani? You can't think too much or definitely be that sensitive about it. I have seen a lot of posts from you lately and it's very obvious that you want to learn and this is the most important. With some enthusiasm that I have seen from your other posts you will learn quickly, especially if you are in Poland now or am I incorrect? Even in this thread people are talking about mistakes that they have made when speaking to Polish people and as far as I can see nobody has had a rude or angry response...or maybe someone has?

Travel / What is the ugliest city or town in Poland? [89]

Take a look at Malbork (not the castle) as an example of ugly polish towns!

agree about Malbork, the town is a hell hole

Can I ask when was the last time you visited Malbork? I live about 10 mins away from there and it's not ugly in my opinion, it has changed A LOT in recent years and has improved a great deal
