Times have changed. Children are not even required to have basic math skills to graduate high school in many places. Most universities are not using ACT or SAT scores for admissions any more because they could be discriminatory with students "who dont test well". Teachers can and do push through poor students to keep graduation reates up when their funding depends on it. Schools in the US have become Mexican puppy mills in many instances.

I bought BTC gradually when it was under 30K and stopped at one complete coin. I dont trust it for the reason you mentioned, gas fee's are way to high to make it anything more than a risky store of value. I dont see any practical use cases for it or ETH. I see the blockchain as the future, but its at least a decade away. XRP is the only real practical use coin that I can see being accepted as currency in the future. Fast transfers, cheap fee's are the name of the game. You can use it in some countries for payments just like cash. Need to transfer 100K USD, you can do it for next to nothing instead of paying the bank $150 in fee's and having to give an explanation of why you are moving your money.

CRCL was and remains a gamble for me. Not a stock I think is something to plan retirement around. Just a little gamble. COIN and other companies like it are always under investigation. They wont be shut down though, and paying fines is easy when you are profitable. Its a well run company, and its a trading platform. Crypto is not going away, and COIN wouldnt be listed on the exchange if it was not a legitimate company. All that said, yes, all crypto is a gamble. I look for potential use case scenarios when I buy. I dont see any crypto as an investment, only a short term profit center. Short term being five years or less. FET is another AI based coin, I bought in April at .39 and now its .74. Cheap to get in, and good profit when getting out.

Not in the education market. In the sports market. Just happens they overlap sometimes. A degree from a Polish university is just as good as many from the US. International business, logistics and supply chain management, cyber security and other programs are highly regarded internationally. But yes, I expect them to bang a lot of Polish girls while they are here. It is college after all.

Coinbase is the leader of the above board crypto trading. They charge high fee's, but offer great security. I use this service and wallet. I bought some of this stock when it began to look like Trump would win last September, and get rid of the SEC chair who was wasting time and money suing crypto companies. I believe this company will make you a ton of money in the long run. While the app can be frustrating because it takes so long for them to verify legitimacy of some coins, you can lose out on a lot of early profits on ICO's, its a solid company that will likely end up being the Chase or Wells Fargo of crypto.

I understand this. My paperwork took years to get in order and hundreds of hours in the archives to find certain documents. I dont think you would find Polish Americans that are over 50 or 60 who would come, it doesnt give them an advantage. I think you see a lot of those people 18 to 40 who would jump on it. Younger people who want to avoid paying 60 to 100K per year for a college education would be very enthusiastic. A small D3 college averages 50K per year, this year we have 27 clients attending Polish universities taking classes in English with all costs, including a meal plan and housing for about 14K, and graduating in 3 years instead of 4. It took less than 5 months to get that many interested. Granted only 4 have Polish ancestry, and 2 of them have Polish passports, but if the government made a real effort, this could easily take off. Imagine billboards in NY, Chicago, Connecticut, Maine, and a few other places advertising this. I have to believe the response would be tremendous.

If you tell a Canadian or american with Polish roots that they can gain citizenship, go to University for free, free health care for life, no hormones or steroids in food, less expensive housing, cleaner streets, lower violent crime, and over all better quality of life, you would see families moving to Poland very quickly.

They did none of these things because the tariffs going the other way on wine, cars, and other premium items would have broken the industries. The US doesnt sell a whole lot in Europe and doesnt need, I mean really need anything from Europe. If cars and wine got 50% tariffs, it would keep American buyers who should be buying those things in the first place from being able to afford them. My old neighbor in the US never made 100K a year in his life, but he financed a new E class for six years and played the role of someone with money while eating hotdogs for dinner.

The US trade deficit with the EU is the only thing that matters. Reducing that any way possible is what Trump was elected to do. You have lived in the US long enough to know the average American doesnt GAF about Europe, will never go to Europe, and couldnt find France on a map.

Arrogance is the word that comes to mind. Very evident here on PF from many in the EU and UK. The UK is much closer to the US than the EU is when it comes to military, intelligence, and common goals. The UK does a good job at nurturing that relationship.

The EU on the other hand thinks it deserves special treatment based on what exactly? Unfair trade? Becuase its the "old world"? EU arrogance is Parisian level when it comes to the US. While I understand the dislike of loud Americans in Europe. Europe cant afford problems with US markets.

There is a relatively easy fix. Allow all those people who can prove Polish ancestry to claim citizenship. Ditch the current rules regarding when the ancestor left Poland and make it easier. So many documents lost in the war, it is difficult for people to claim as well. Do that and you will see Canadians and Americans lining up for it. Many would move to Poland and work remotely. Improving population numbers, and the economy.

I laugh with my neighbor, UK expat, about how bad Londonastan is these days. his brother was just here for a visit and couldnt stop talking about how bad it is, and how many people are getting charged for expressing their opinions publicly. Two reasons I dont like OLO. First, it is not a dividend paying stock. Second, it is dependent on the food service industry. Digital ordering and things like this will be replaced by AI in the long run. Short term it may be a good buy as it looks to be going up, but long term i dont see the value.

As a point of reference, my stock picks other than CRCL, are buy and hold. Take any dividends and reinvest into that same stock. I bought 500 shares of Microsoft in 2008 and used that strategy, its done pretty well since then. HD I have had since 1995 using the same strategy. While some short term buys and sells can be nice, buying a company is a long term vision. Crypto, is where the money is if you want to do short term trading. Once you understand crypto, you can really make a killing.
