Zandberg is someone to watch

He has huge potential but last time around he didn't seem to take it all seriously. Kind of like 'I'm here to show left point of view but please, oh please, don't make me go to parliament and actually be a politician:)

I'm actually quite surprised by the left's high result ( I don't follow polls generally).
I wonder if it's the result of polarisation of society, protest vote or genuine resurection :)

I would like to believe it was true. After all this thread is about believing that even politicians can have human and heroic bone in their bodies

I read an article today about Robert Biedron pulling a driver and his 2 year old out of a burning car. While it was a surprise on its own ( I took him for a all talk no game kind of guy) I realised how rarely we focus on good deeds of politicians. So please join me in trying to find some good in those sneaky bastards :)

What the hell are you talking about? They are not available for those schools. Sending kids for some classes to a different village is not a viable option. Your comparison is similar if it was primary school overcrowding and said that there are rooms in kindergarden.

Those two systems (primary school/gimnazjum and liceum) are governed by different bodies on different levels While it was possible to play a bit more with the primary school/gimnazjum level because they are both local schools that all kids attend the liceum level is a different matter.

That poll would be pointless without asking what exactly should change. And since it's an organisation of 27 countries it's not only Poles whose wishes count. All those countries have to meet in the middle. Anyway- none of this matters in the matter of church in Poland

There are probably Poles who share your opinion but there are also many who consider EU a positive force. And it seems the later are in majority for now. Deal with it.

Stories of both teachers and former students. And I'm not talking about having doubts but about openly challenging the dogma. I myself heard from the priest that he is not there to discuss things with us. Didn't go down too well in my class. Few people signed out of the classes after that.

Oh my, boo-freakkin- hoo. Who cares if they were or were not affected by PRL. The thing is they are blind to the situation and cling to status quo- doesn't affect me but the church will hurt. Not now, not in 5 years but the situation will deteriorate quicker and quicker. They are lucky that as for now there is not much of an alternative.

I don't care what tou get peeved with. The truth is quite a lot of priesrs get openly involved. Just Rydzyk is enough and he is just one of many ( although the most powerful).

Yeah, yeah.

But even if that was the truth this time Poles voted for it. And judging by the polls would still vote to join EU.

And somehow it doesn't change the situation of the Church and problems it faces

True. Add to that that teens stopped just listening without challenging (something many priests in schools don't want to and can't understand), church involvment in politics etc and you have what you have. I still don't think that the bishops caught up with this. It seems they still don't realise the difference in power. We will see.

Maybe not but from what I see church has more and more trouble with attendence, callings etc. The end of socialism actually harmed church IMO. Earlier they were perceived as the core of freedom fight but once that has been acomplished people situation changed. Of course one may pretend that all is sound and good but that will only worsen the situation

Not all people do. Really. However Christmas did became cultural celebration and will survive even if the church falls. Not so sure about Easter though.

Did the treaty say " we will help you only if we judge that we are ready"? Or maybe UK should say "Hey Adolf could you please, pretty please, not invade our allies until we think we are ready"?
