We keep on hearing from our media how diversity is a good thing. Well aren't Polish Americans part of all the diverse ethnic groups in America? Shouldn't we be recognized for the good we have contributed to this great country and not ridiculed or dismissed just because there were some bigots in the media who were prejudiced against Polish people who were trying to condition the American public to have their anti-Polish prejudice with their Anti-Polish propaganda?

It was Hollywood's and the TV networks' shame to try to condition the American public from 1965 through the 70's with subhuman intelligence jokes about Polish people. It still continued after that..... but to a lesser degree.... only because Polish Americans finally had enough of being a "good sport" about being an ethnic punching bag and finally spoke out against all these anti-Polish slurs.

Although sadly subhuman intelligence jokes about Polish people still do exist, at least they are not in the mainstream media like they used to be. Maybe once in a while you might hear them and you basically won't hear them in polite society. This is why the anti-Polish Bigot former Senator Arlen Spector apologized when he made some anti-Polish jokes in New York City a couple years ago. Even Non-Polish people were offended at his so called jokes about Polish people. Some people say Arlen Specter lossed more then a normal amount to his unknown challenger earlier this year because of his racist so called Polish "jokes". There is a large Polish American population in his state of Pennsylvania who didn't forget his dumb inferior intelligence "jokes" against Polish people.

But it is good he apologized for his hate-through-humor jokes against Polish people. I give him credit for that.

Poles like you and me, who MareGaea criticizes "for not admitting that Poles killed Jews" have said many times that there were POLES WHO DID KILL JEWS.

I have said this at least a few times during this recent topic (I have also said this in other topics) that there WERE some Bad Poles who did bad things to other people including Killing Jews.

So I don't know what his problem is and why his eyes or brain fail him when he reads Poles like you and me admitting that there were some bad Poles who did bad things to Jews. I don't know maybe he wants Poles to grovel in front of Jews like him.

My problem with him, is that he tries to push this collective guilt thing on ALL Poles for what SOME bad Poles did. When he does that, all I merely do is bring up what some bad Jews did to Poles and East Europeans and then ask him if Jews should do likewise and apologize for being collectively guilty for the bad deeds of their bad Jews that were reported by other Jewish people.

Also God forbid you try to have him acknowledge any good things the Poles have done for Jews. All I have done is present the other side of Jewish vs Poland/Eastern Europe "information" that the mass media has suppressed. Including what some Israeli columnists and people like Winston Churchil have reported on Jewish history as far as the disproportionate Jewish participation in Communism.

Basically "The emperor has no clothes" type information on those bad people among Jews. But if you think that's "anti-semitic" just because one brings that up to give CONTEXT to Jewish vs Eastern Europe tensions then that's because you are an ethno-centric Jewish person who feels Jews should never be questioned because they are morally superior to Non-Jews. They are not. They are humans who do good and bad just like all people. Hundreds of thousands of ethnic Poles were shipped out of old East Polish territories to Siberian death camps thanks to Communist Jewish NKVD officers and Polish Jews collaborating with them. Frankly I'm surprised there hasn't been more anti-semitism in Poland considering the huge amount of Jewish atrocities against Poles.

I have heard from Polish relatives and friends the reverse of what Jan Gross has accused Poles of. When the Soviets were dominating old East Polish land, they were ethnically cleansing it of ethnic Poles, sending them to Gulag death camps, and then putting NKVD/Communist collaborating Jews in these homes. Maybe some Poles REACTED to this?

Are you smart enough to know that even if some Poles were involved in it, Polish nationalists did NOT control large events like this and that the Soviets did? Did you know large events like this could not happen without the knowledge of the Soviets since MOSCOW and NOT Polish nationalists controlled Poland after 1945 with an IRON FIST.

Are you aware of Soviet Soldiers getting the rioting going? Do you know anything about Soviet rule in Poland after 1945???? Evidently not.

Well good you say you don't deny that there were Jews among the communists at one point. There might be the start of normal dialog on the bad that both Jews and Poles have done to each other.

The problem with you is that you generalize about Poles doing anti-semitic things to Jews by trying to define most or all Poles by bad Poles (and never answering the question WHY Jews CHOSE to LIVE in Poland for ONE THOUSAND YEARS if Poles are as bad as you say).

All people like myself do is point out the bad things that some Jews have done to Poles and you go crazy.

The average newspaper in Europe back then just like now had Jews in them. Well the average European back then didn't have all the facts and was not aware of the role Communist Jews had in setting up Poland for these kind of propaganda events. The Jews in the newspapers purposely used the average European naivety about sneaky communist Jews against them and purposely took a situation out of context to maximize anti-Polish propaganda put into their brains by the Jewish writers of these newspaperes.

Are you aware MG of the cocky attitude of Jewish writers in newspapers? Even 50 years ago Jewish American "news" writers would randomly pick a town in Poland, blatantly make up "anti-semitic events" that allegedly occured and put them in newspapers (The New York Times still does this today). Off the top of my head I don't know the particulars of each of these Polish soccer players but I do know one or more of them had Polish parents that were athletes. That I'm sure helped too.

I believe the ingredients of a great athlete is half genetics and half environment. I'm sure the German soccer/sports environment helped a lot. No doubt.
