Greenland has the right to have an independence vote any time it wants but has chosen not to. in the meantime it is still part of Denmark. Denmark is a NATO country threatened by the USA. The US can do what it wants, it can deploy its military to countries that want them or dont.

Again, its not the business of the US to dictate sovereignty despite its history of ignoring it.

The objection is not about Israel defending its self, the objection is to what Israel is doing and has been doing for decades. Indiscriminately bombing civilians in Gaza who all happen to have command and control centers under their tents may not be a good look but the crux is the social media posts the IDF post and the utterances of Israeli government ministers.

The IDF have filmed themselves demolishing as many civic buildings as thy can. That is schools, medical facilities, all government buildings including police stations public parks, water and electrical infrastructure and industrial sites. The IDF have posted videos of them destroying any remaining Palestinian homes they find and blowing up ambulances.

None of that is self defence. Its a planned extermination of Palestinian culture and the means of supporting life with the intention of forcing people to flee.

That is genocide.

The current events in Syria, though triggered by the Palestinian war, have nothing to do with the genocide being carried out by Israel. Valid and verifiable criticism of Israel cannot be negated by claiming immunity because others are as bad or worse than Israel however if you are happy to include Israel in the same category as Assad's Syria Or China be my guest.

The Palestinian population of Israel had no choice other than be included in Israel where they have been subjected to second class citizenship. The Palestinian population under occupation are treated to a version of apartheid as evidenced by the dual legal system Israel runs. One for Jews another for everyone else.

Nope, Bibi has had many opportunities to have all those held by HAMAS freed but turned them all down by unilaterally changing the agreed position after the fact. Thats why the families of the hostages are livid at him. Yesterday was another example of him using them for political/PR purposes.

Yesterday afternoon Reuters broke a story that Netenyahu was on his way to Cairo to seal a ceasefire deal on Gaza. So the media was all hyped up as were the hostage families. Netenyahu was due in court today but was given the day off to attend to imperative National security business. So everyone thought that was the signal. Then it emerges around 6.00 PM that Netenyahu is actually in Syria on Mount Hebron celebrating the Israel invasion of Syria and declaring in Hebrew that Israel was staying indefinitely in the areas they have just occupied unless Israeli security conditions were satisfied which were of course unspecified. This is despite repeated statements in English by both Netenyahu and Sarr the foreign minister that the IDF incursion into Syria was just a temporary measure and that Israel does not want conflict with Syria.

The Israeli hostage families have been used for personal theater by the corrupt, wanted war criminal. There are no lies this man and his regime wont repeat or create and the blind swallow them. The statement that Ireland is antisemitic is so clearly a lie only the stupid or credulous believe it. Irelands position is that Israel has the right to exist, it has the right to defend itself, all hostages should be released and a two state solution should be implemented. There is nothing controversal in Irelands position until Ireland states that it wants to uphold international law, somehow Israel finds this antisemitic.

Israel withdraws its ambassador from Ireland but keeps its ambassador in South Africa, Spain and Norway. The breathtaking hypocrisy of these lying murdering people is monumental.

Irish people are very proud of their non alignment but it doesn't mean the country is neutral in international relations. We are happy to take our place among the nations of the world and have an arrangement with our aggressive neighbour on reunifying the country. During Brexit one of the British ministers threatened to starve Ireland unless we did as they wanted which was deeply insulting akin to the Germans threatening to gas Israelis if they didn't do as they were told. Thankfully the new Government in Britain appears to be making the right noises now and the insult has been put to bed.

With regard to Israel and antisemitism, Israeli governments historically saw Ireland as a role model. Michael Collins and Robert Briscoe were heroes to Ben Gurion. There is a national park named after an Irish president, the current Israeli president is of Irish heritage. His father was Irish and also president of Israel. Despite the very small numbers Jewish people in Ireland have had a huge representation in government here.

None of that stops Ireland upholding International law and calling out wrong doing. I have still to see a single example of state sponsored antisemitism here.

There is no hard left in Ireland, there has just been a general election and no far right or far left representatives were returned. Despite what some random blogger says.

Fact is Israel has relations with lots of countries that are not in the 45 or so places that have adopted the controversial definition. Ireland happens to be a member of that organisation but hasn't adopted the flawed definition. Ireland is singled out when Norway isnt. That is an example of Israeli double standards.

If Ireland is so antisemitic as the indicted and wanted war criminals in Tel Aviv claim why did they abandon the Jewish population in Ireland.

I disagree with your theory that Celtic tribes ultimately came from Slavic stock, I don't know enough about the origins of Germanic people but doubt they have Slavic roots.
