Does she use a lot of rice? Im used to them being mostly meat and just a little bit of rice, it was different but good. My favorite Polish dish is Zraszy (sp) its rolled up meat with pickles inside:) Not many places seem to serve it around here.


They have a large selection of sausages, I haven't tried most of them but look good. This place gets packed on the weekend and you have to take a number and wait quite awhile sometimes.

Who has more sausages Germans or Polish?

I dont know all the names of the sweets but the assortment they have is very impressive. I started going there for the fresh baked Polish bread and wound up giving into temptation. Every paczki Ive tasted has been delicious:) Ill probably pass on the kiwi one though....


I buy those grill sausages of BBQ, its a big hit at my house:)


I wouldn't be surprised if the 2 were integrated at some point in time. I like this deli and going to try some different foods and will report back:)

These restaurants aren't anywhere near where the shootings occur. I wouldn't go there if it was.


There are quite a few of them as well, even bigger ones. It can be challenging on the weekends as they get really crowded.

It was Raspberry:) I should have taken the photo from the front duh. I really like this deli and go early on Sunday morning, otherwise its packed full of babcias and you have to wait in line for 30+ mins. You have to get there early before all the good loaves of bread are gone for that day as well. Ill take some more shots next week of pierogis..


It must haver been her night off...lol We had a very friendly waitress, blonde hair, not real skinny, same one?

I dont like those picnic table and benches though, my dupa was hurting after an hour...lol

It has a Highlander style motif to it and the food was very tasty. They had these mashed potatoes with bacon and buttermilk sauce that was to die for.

If you every come to Chicago stop by this place!

I finally made it to the restaurant U Gazdy

The food was delicious and I want go back there as they have many traditional dishes. I had the Highlander Potato Pancake, bardzo smaczna:)

Actually, I dont know of any Poles that are slackers. They all have jobs and do very well from what I have seen. They dont live in economically depressed areas of Chicago anymore and have moved out to the more affluent suburbs.
