In fact, when visiting Poland in 2017, I had to ask some Poles to switch to English to make them speak more slowly.

I read your post slowly with the attention it deserves...It really does...

To compare the US with Russia, for example, you have to always keep in mind 420 million guns, blacks, migrants, the mentally ill, and the crime that those cause.

Add to it the publicity crime gets almost daily - if it bleeds, it leads - and you develop the level of fear and hate that is not common elsewhere. Poles are right when debating guns.

When I was in Poland, I would go to parks at dark without a second thought. Here, I wouldn't let my 7-year-old granddaughter go alone to the restroom at the mall. I actually used to walk right in and stand guard by her stall...Paranoia or taking no chances...whatever...an easy call...

Feds not being local...If the leftist mayors and governors were not sanctuary freaks, there would not be any need for the feds in US cities.

I met a dozen of them today at the ICE facility in Broadview...mostly men, a few women...

The short of it is that it was the women who behaved like the lowest human garbage ever...One was screaming obscenities toward the police that would make a Texas truck driver blush.

I asked her: Why are you trying to insult the guys you never met? In three seconds, I was called names, including "Hitler"...still screaming from three feet away from me...
