Love / 20% of adult Poles are single and live with Mummy! [241]

Consider yourself lucky then, instead of behaving as if you're better than someone else who simply can't afford it.

everyone has two hands, legs and a brain, make a use of it. life is a playground, prove yourself, don't be apologetic, pathetic dummy and take what you need.

If you have a drop of polish blood in you, you will understand.

I'm pretty damn sure I'm not listening to my parents, just like I'm not listening to you.

i'm telling you about my experiences, take it or leave it, don't care really.

You come here, and tell me where to get to work, okay? (I'm sorry, but I really think I will have to study for another five years!)

;)

college kids without significant experience have no value. I could hire you if you had experience and the know how.

Technikum Mechaniczne,

In Poland it was for free.

Is this an argument? (So you're telling me I should do illegal shít, and should start blowing people's brains out and rob them?)

xD

i didn't do anything illegal. I worked hard. If you got caught on the border in Poland with vodka, the border police would just beat your as$ with a nightstick take your vodka, probably drink it and let you go in the morning. Speaking from experience here.

Then that will most probably be your future, too.

well, i save up for my retirement. I can retire at 55 and live till 90 golfing and having someone else near by to wipe my arse when i sh!t myself.

Poverty breeds poverty

my parents were poor as dirt, why do you think i smuggled vodka across the mountains? Because I enjoyed the views?

This isn't very Liberal at all. :)

fuckit, it works.

Just read

AJ,

I'm in my early 30's, a Polish immigrant, I used to smuggle vodka via tatra mountains as a kid lol.

I think that qualifies me for

the younger generation

title. I finished 2 years of Technikum Mechaniczne in Poland before i left.

since then

i moved out of my parents house, paid for college with my own money (Pennsylvania university ain't cheap), got married, I own my house now, and am making 6 figures a year, legally btw, while my Polish family insisted the whole time that I'm nutz and wouldn't "make it."

I believe the new generation needs to wake up, stop listing to their parentsand understand that whining and blaming everyone and everything around them is not going to help. Get to work, think outside the box, stop being envious, stay out of trouble, and you'll get there too.

AJ

You're a nice kid and I'm sure that living with parents ain't so bad.

I prize my independence more than anything, lazy and over educated kids that pretend it's impossible to move out **** me off.

Struggle? If you think that moving out of your parent's house and getting your own place is a struggle than you haven't experienced the real life yet.

I know what the situation is over there.

Fresh married couples having kids and living in an M3 with their parents.

Pathetic x 3, having kids when you have no place to live, sucking your spouse into a family hell and living with your parents.

I would rather smuggle alcohol through the Tatra Mountains for the rest of my life then live with my wife in my parent's home.

You just envious because you don't know how, I hate to break this to you, but there is no such a thing like a 100% legitimate business in the world . Wake up bud.

$200K and 2500sqf house in TX isn't a big deal

It's mine and i love it. I didn't say it is a big deal.

Easy to say in the land of opp...house price crashes, not so easy to say in Europe where housing costs are significantly higher.

I'm not saying it's easy, I’m just another schmuck out there and I've done it.
You can build a house in PL for 160k PLN, that's 4 times cheaper than here in the US.

ok so I ask you what job have you been working in Poland? could you tell us please?

lol it's a funny story, I worked for Samoobrone Andrzeja Leppera, collecting votes while working for furniture factory. I paved driveways or/and basements for the “rich” people. I fabricated car and motorcycle parts and fixed computers. On weekends I smuggled vodka through the Czechoslovakian border and sold it to local “melina”. Believe it or not, I had 3 to 4 jobs at all times. The new generation is a bunch of geeky pussies.

distance to Poland is much greater than your parent’s basement

First of all my parents live here in the US.

I lived in Poland on my own and I know more about that country than you think.

Why are you so angry? Are you still living with your mommy?

could you reply on my post or you don't have anything to say just spit with anger on everyone?

sorry i'm working, i have no time to read every bull$hit response on this thread.
I enjoy spitting with anger. It relaxes me.

Sorry to disappoint you short, but my own 200K 2500 sq feet house doesn't have a basement and my mommy and daddy live 2.5 K miles away. Besides you sound pathetic, kind of like an angry kid.

Spread your wings and learn how to fly, you losers! All men living with their parents past their 21-st birthday are basically nothing but trash.

I agree, it's not only a Polish "thing", it’s a pathetic sign of inability to survive on your own, and that 20% of the men in that generation are basically useless pussies waiting to inherit something from their mommy and daddy when they die!

I was out on my own at 17, joined the military at 18. After I got out I played for my higher education with my own money, so I know it’s possible.

I believe any guy that stays at home with their mommy and daddy for too long becomes a weakling and a parasite. People like that are disgusting wimp pus$y boy geeks scared to death to live in the real world on their own.

Genealogy / Americans of Polish descent. How many of us are on Polish forums? [216]

Trzebinska?

When your family came to the US in 1900 they were asked 3 questions:

Name? (what should I write down your name is)
Where you from? (country of origin)
Who paid your fare? (name of your sponsor)

Next, an individual was scanned by a "doctor" who checked for any signs of a disease, after that a decision was made if a person can enter the US or not. Many people were simply shipped back, sometimes a family had to make a quick decision on who stays who goes back.

You can’t find this on the web, but if you whish to learn more visit Galveston immigration museum.
It was a jaw dropping experience for me. Identical process was followed at the Elis Island if not worst. If I had to summarize, overall it was a very messy procedure not much different from herding animals.

My point to all of this is that Trzebinska may not be a town but a name of a person that sponsored your family.

Hold on there, Bubba

You're right. I'm sorry. I slapped together two unrelated statistics from my previous thread about business.
All I can tell you at this point is that I learn and adapt. I want to be like them real Polish people, you see?

Everyone seems to be doing this on PF and no one says anything. It’s about time someone started verifying all the fax here. Why did you have to start with me though?

History / Are Poles happy with the current Polish borders? [134]

According to some obsolete website Poland has a slight chance to mow through some of the eastern territories.

I guess it's matter of alliances and deals made behind the scenes. I say, go for it! Post all updates on PF: globalfirepower

The rankings:

1 U.S.A.
2 China
3 Russia
4 India
5 U.K.

Let me ask you a question too, SeanBM.

Why do you speak English here and admire American culture while still living in Poland?

Bill Hicks, really? This made me laugh at loud when i saw it in your profile.

He's got a cool message though, I'll give you that.

it's just a ride, and we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money, a choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off.

You my friend are truly an envious person and a hypocrite. and you're a silly poser!

Go ahead and start another thread in Polish and see if i care.

You cherish everything about the US, cloths, the music, and the culture while living in your homeland, but then you log in to PF day after day and call Polish-Americans plastic. LMAO

You're so pathetic kid...

You're into projecting, how's that workin out for ya?
So cut to the chase, when and why did you leave Poland or are you of Polish extraction?

I'll keep you guessing.

And what basis is your opinion on?

I base my opinion on reports from average Polish people

also, i would like to add that 50% of Polish registered votters did not vote, how else wold you interpret this fact?

You keep throwing that up

well, because you seem to ignore the facts and just rant about something irrelevant, I'm not sure how else can I reason with you? Would you listen if I made the Giant Jesus speak up and tell you the same thing?

but you seem to have a little chip

nah, I don't, some people here are just annoying, that's all

I appoligize that i gave you guys this impression. It's just an opinion, why you are interpreting it as bitter is really beyond me.

IMO, it's difficult to justify that voting in a country with a significant corruption problem would make a difference.

In 2009 Poland was ranked 35th in "Best Countries for Business" by comparison, now Poland is ranked as 70th. The corruption is mentioned as the major contributing factor for the decline.

i do speak Polish.

again, I found your response very bitter and condescending. I'm not sure what triggers that.
btw I don't feel that I’m better than you, if you were wondering...

So asking someone to study to become a lawyer is considered to be naive in Poland? Hmm, ok

What do you do in your everyday work than?

Question, why it's too late for you to study? are you about to die?
You’re vicious, unreasonable, rude, and very close-minded and my standards are - basically the opposite.

Life / I saw Polish nationalism today [249]

neonazis? I think that there's everywhere the same danger of getting stabbed because of your nationality regardless country.

it's not the same everywhere, people most likely will just shoot you here if you try to stab them

Ehrm... I got no words for it...
Maybe you meant Poland 80 years ago?
Then they were "popular" but now their less then a minority!

80 years ago Poland barely existed

Well I believe that they don't kill anybody and put crosses in fire anymore but still they are tolerated and are potential danger for ethnic minioties (just the same as football hooligans in Poland).

They just meet and socialize trust me.

Life / I saw Polish nationalism today [249]

do you think that they are popular in Poland?

Yes and it has been a problem for about 20 years now. They're hostile and harassing people in the streets. The police and the government should do something about it.

a social club? what do you mean?

Just what i said, they meet and socialize...
