All it takes is for 20 members to contribute $10 each, every month, and the site stays online. It's a price of a couple of newspapers for the whole lot of fun that we have here.

Unless somebody decides to be exceptionally generous, like Bobko today, then even fewer people need to chip in that month.

I'm, frankly, surprised that some people don't like the arrangement.

Prehistoric Poles: 2019

Yes, yes - I know they weren't really Poles in full meaning of this word, but they lived in the lands of today's Poland (Holy Cross Mountains) and they were very skillful miners of Neolithic and Bronze ages. The latest addition to Polish UNESCO heritage sites - Krzemionki Prehistoric Striped Flint Mining Region - is an ensemble of four mining sites, dating from about 3900 to 1600 BC, dedicated to the extraction and processing of striped flint, which was mainly used for axe-making.

Toruń was one of the richest and one of the four largest cities of the Kingdom of Poland back in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. There were times though when we had more activity than this site, to the surprise of Wroclaw Boy and a couple of other guys from PF :) And we had more nice modern features than PF (not that the bar was ever set very high haha).

Oh, well... it didn't work out the way we intended it to. Life.

Lack of time, silly EU regulations (the site was hosted in Poland, and the new RODO regulations were a major annoyance), and a certain event with illegal activity of a member that unnerved me (I didn't like the letters I was getting from prokuratura and the explanations I had to sent). No more on this topic from me.


Not really. If you entered "Polish forums" into Google - PF appeared on top, but if you entered "Polish forum" it was ATP as the first result (and it was only after a year or so).

If it wasn't for the fact that John Lennon is dead, they might try to suspend him too because he himself confirmed that the similarities between his ideals set out in the song and communism were indeed deliberate.

You are always piling obstacles, aren't you? Hmm... there's always a way... lemme think...

What if Bobko obtained Karta Polaka? It's rather easy to get, he speaks Polish and as for ancestry I think it's enough if one of your great-grandparents owned a Polish Scenthound or Podhalański Sheep-dog or something (documentation can be easily prepared). After getting KP Bobko would technically be a Pole, so PF would gain a young Polish admin to run the board for decades - а wин wин ситуатион.

Why not? Maybe under Russian administration we could have avatars, signatures, proper smileys, charts, arcade room, polls and all the other stuff that modern fora have. Also, maybe whoever gets the most posts in a given month could receive a voucher for cheap fuel or electricity hahaha

Anyways, we should all chip in and buy it for Bobko - he's the youngest, so PF would have a long future under his helm. ;)

Ha, ha - I remember a couple of years ago in Jelenia Góra I spoke to a Swedish family who told me that Poland is such a beautiful and safe country because there are virtually no foreigners here. I had to bite my tongue a couple of times too because they were nice people. Having said that, I think that those Swedes realised that their country has masterfully f*cked itself up themselves, without me stating the obvious. ;)
