even if the tax regime is no better you still should take into account the state of economy which was very good thanks to PiS untill the pandemy struck - maybe your business was left behind somehow if you haven't experience a rise in income

Jacek Rostowski did a couple of tricks to the budget so it appeared the deficit was lower than it was in actuality - for example he "lent" money to ZUS (or rather FUS) instead of marking it as budget expense - PO also separated the special fund for building roads from the budget so any loans it had to take was not counted as a budget expense

the first few years of PiS didn't rely on this tricks - 2020 marks a change in that respect on the path created by PO-PSL

Yes, I am misinformed coz I watch PiS TV too much. hahaha

my guess is you probably don't watch it at all - I also sometimes find TVP nerve grating - but you could sometimes read dorzeczy.pl niezalezna.p or wpolityce.pl just to have a different taste of things

read more on the subject - especially the media that you don't particularly like - the pardon pertained the restraining order not the crime itself (which the perpatrator served the sentence for)

i am not a blind follower of PiS or Kaczyński - I think PiS is overspending (especially on social transfers) - but I understand their motives - one would think that a programme of a scale of the original 500+ would give PiS enough votes - but the votes didn't materialize untill PiS introduced even more spending - the original 500+ programme starting from 2017 was wholly funded by curbing the VAT fraud and smuggling of fuels to Poland

- now look what you've got on the other side: to quote Jacek Rostowski the former finance minister from PO "(for PiS social programmes) there is no money and there won't be any money" - now they say: we won't cut back on PiS social spending"- my ass

also I remember when media supporting PiS or trying to be objective were completely niche - because the public television almost sang in unison with TVN and Polsat

also Duda vetoed 9 bills that PiS wanted to have passed - I know it's not a huge number but that shows Duda is not merely a puppet

Yes, we have just seen this cooling off, pardoning a paedophile. hahaha

you only read headlines or the sources you read conveniently omit important facts: - the important fact is that Duda pardoned the person because of the victims (who are now adult) clearly asked him to (it was a within-family matter)

Fear.... komuchy are notorious cowards....

Trzaskowski is equally scared of a debate in TVP - so?
Duda said he would join a debate if all of the main tv channels agree to run one

8 years of PO/PSL rule - national debt increased by 400 billion.

i don't know where you get your figures from (probably Wyborcza) but the debt of the National Tresury rose by 142 billion PLN not 400

the National Treasury debt during PO-PSL rose in the years 2008-2015 rose by 291 billion

Pretty disgusting trick by the opposition.

disgusting tricks are their modus operandi for the most part - if PO-PSL didn't vote 2 Constitutional Tribunal judges before the end of the term of those they were supposed to replace there probably wouldn't be a case of PiS meddling with the Tribunal - and so on and so forth

Life / I am being overchanged for water consumption in Poland? Help 1000 PLN? [27]

Can you guys explain me what is this 103,568 m3 on the image ?

the 103.5... figure is a sum of cold and hot water you used - if you lived in the place for the whole 2019 it just means you use too much water- when I lived alone I used less than 2 cubic meters a month washing my whole body everyday (i really did save on water while washing myself)- try economizing this year
