Merged: Should the number of warnings and suspensions be posted against a members profile

I think that this will help guide new posters / members as to the credibility of those making a comment or giving advice on the forum.

Ok let's try it.

If this is the case, so I'll not study in poland

Don't dismiss your oppotunity in Dentistry in Poland, much of the Dental work in Poland is Private, so earnings can be very good even compared to the UK, My dentist makes a very comfortable living here in Poland.

History / History behind Poland and Turkey's Relationship [120]

Serbian-Polish friendship, which doesn't exist.

Oh So So very wrong that your trolling of Crow is so laughable, I won't even try to defend the Polish Serbian relationship , because it needs no defence, to the people of Poland or Serbia.

No need for you to sign off brat Crow, stand strong in your unity with the Polish people, we stand strong with the core values of Serbians.

Polonia / Let's talk about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries [236]

Now it's govt's OWN strategy is making it a problem, because you can't be a partner if you want to have just your own strategy (instead of a partnership)

Thing is Poland is used to having partners one the most recent being uncle Stalin, we learned many lessons during occupation, Poland is open to make the most of best advice and guidance that our new European partners have to offer, but that does not mean that we will follow blindly, we will play our part to be a good partner but at the end of the day we will protect and care for our people.

"Hey, I and my family have a stake in it too, so I'll have my say, thanks. "

From your comment I see that you are a foreigner here with a Polish partner/spouse, you are most welcome, I can understand that Poland may be a shock to your system , but if you spend time to learn more about us our history and culture you will see that things aint so bad.

The best way I can put this is, Poland does not bend over to accomodate outsiders to the detriment of it's own , but on the flip side Poland opens it's arms to all that come to embrace all that is Polish.

I might be going off topic here im not sure if this conversation should be moved somewhere else.

Poland should also not be blind to the successes.

Poland is currently being a VERY successful new partner in Europe and making great progress with its OWN strategy, if you are looking for a carbuncle to critique the I suggest you clear off to a Greek or Spanish forum.

We are fine honest, we appreciate that you wish to help, but maybe you need to put on your own oxygen mask before you try and help others.

EU citizens sharing a socio-politico-economic union

But that does not mean that we should be blind to what is happening in Sweden, and should we not learn from their mistakes?

"sharing a socio-politico-economic union "

Does not mean we should follow any other nation or union over the edge of a cliff.

Poles are not lemmings.

you fit in to that narrow identity, then you're happy. But what if you don't? What if you're a gay Pole, or a Tartar

Lets take your two points one by one.

1. you're a gay Pole,

Poland is one of only a very few countries that NEVER had laws against gays. Yes the Catholic church says that the act of sodomy is sinful, but it is not a sin for one man to love another, and when it comes to sin, bumbing is not in the ten commandments, so it aint that bad, The problem is when people publicly start parading their marches down the the streets to make some kind of point that bumbing is the norm and all should join in , the reality is that there have been gays living in Poland for centuries, we all know one, we leave then to it.

2. or a Tartar

We have know these people for centuries, we know that they are ok , we are happy to live side by side with them.

"Observvver "

You are exactly that you are a foreign observer looking at Poland with foreign eyes without any clue as to who or what we are as a people.

Life / Getting pretty tired of the postal service here in Poland [58]

Postal service here in Poland is a disaster

Where abouts do you live I have never had a problem here in Lower Silesia.

Well apart from the odd delivery driver who rings to ask if I can meet him in town because he is too lazy to drive to my village.

I use all sorts Ebay(UK), Amazon, Allegro, and the normal postal service.

and don't like it and don't want it come to Poland.

If you look at the prison statistics in Sweden, France UK,Germany you will see a disproportionate amount of ethnic minorities in jail.

You may ask yourself why is this? ,I suggest it is wrong to simply say that ethnic minorities commit a disproportional number of crimes , I think it is due to the failure the successive governments of the host nations to manage and integrate minorities.

Until a solution is found to this kind of problem I don't blame Poland or the Polish people if they have their concerns, I do that's for sure.

Poland from its authoritarianism and lack of diversity (of culture, people - ideas and dynamism).

Poland can see the mess that multiculturalism has made in countries like Sweden, France, UK and Germany , the Polish people do not want to go down this road, nothing to do with racism , all to do about national identity and culture, some immigration can be useful, but we must be sure we do not create a clash of cultures as is plain to see in other countries

I must say from personal experience it is good to live in a country where we do not suffer multi culti racial tensions, riots and murders,

we do not have to cater for special dietary requirements or produce documents in multiple languages, we do not need a mass of translators in our schools, hospitals and government offices.

As a result life is very peaceful and straightforward here.

News / CO2 emissions in Poland. Should Poland go nuclear or stick with clean coal technologies? [86]

Mod why have you moved my post here? I was talking about Poland, responding to smurfs comments about scandinavia

There are four references to Poland in relation to renewable and nuclear energy !!!!

Put it back to the thread it was posted in.
sorry dolnoslask - posts moved back

"CO2 emissions in Poland. Should Poland go nuclear or stick with clean coal technologies?"

Please in future, read a post in full before moving it.

If you disagree then I appeal to Vincent as he is always on the ball and rarely misses the point.

you missed all the Below that is to do with POLAND ........ and energy

Anyone can cherry pick the prime examples, but no one can put forward an affordable / sustainable solution for Poland.

If anyone did come up with a viable affordable plan then I am pretty sure Poland would take it up.

Poland is currently moving forward with wind power , and many households are taking up solar water heating now that the installation costs are coming down.

As for incentives and grants Poland simply does not have the money, maybe Scandinavia can fund it for us with future payback from any cost savings ?

Nuclear solution for Poland?, who would want a reactor built from old melted down Chinese bicycles, oh that would be the UK.

Most of the Scandinavians are well on track

With a population of only 25 million and a top tier GDP per capita that is capable of subsidizing the huge infrastructural costs involved,

Anyone can cherry pick the prime examples, but no one can put forward an affordable / sustainable solution for Poland.

140% of Denmark's electricity demand

One very special day out of a whole year, what about most of the winter when it is still and overcast, you problem here is that the technology to store electricity during times of plenty is not with us yet, not helpful to post about two exceptional days in two different countries when the reality is that solar and wind generation is not consistent enough to meet real demand.... Sorry bro, I also wish it could be that good a solution.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

@Magnum_357 pretty well summed up the way things are in Poland, whether all these old black powder firearms would go off if someone pulled the trigger is another question, but many people have them stashed away just in case.

The old saying here is , A neighbor asks his neighbor why he is watering his window boxes in winter the neighbor replies I am not watering the plants I am oiling my guns.

Life / Polish people are the most ignorant people in the world! [331]

dishonesty is the easiest method to deal with the problem.

I must admit I personally have never met anyone who was reluctant to admit that they are Polish, but more recently many Poles in the UK try and hide their accent and origins in fear of racial abuse, which is understandable.

Where have you come across this reluctance to admit Polish nationality?

bluesealkielbasa

I did look it up but I was concerned about the lack of preservatives , I like to rummage through the refrigerator , re-discover a long lost year old kielbasa and still be able to eat it.

There needs to be an upvote/downvote button on this forum.

Sadly there is plenty of software out there to manipulate this kind of functionality, better for individual posters to write "your a cock your a cock" or. something similar to denote their displeasure, but sadly this does nothing to promote healthy debate, a bit like when a Libtard starts shouting racist, racist when losing an argument.

I'm sharing my experience in hopes of a broader discussion

Then let us move forward positively in that vein, is your experience of poles limited to the USA? are you talking about distant descendants of Poles or new migrants that have just recently arrived
