I think it's the idiom "przejechać się na czymś/kimś". Which means that, for example, you count on something to happen, but you can get severely disappointed. So, PiS strongly argues that Poland 2050 and PSL will fall short of the threshold, but it can turn out that PiS will get very disappointed, because it may not happen.

I've listened to it after I've checked that newspaper. Zelensky didn't say anything of that sort in the podcast, but it is mentioned that some parts of the interview weren't conducted in English, so maybe it's in the article. Unfortunately, I can't read it, because it's paid access :/


But you wrote about diplomacy, not about internal politics. And there's a stark difference between how PO conducted their foreign policy during their rule and how PiS is doing that.
