Life / Poland's Prison System Compared to America's [36]

Poland would run such institutions

From the programs I have watched on tv and from discussions with one or two ex ganga growers here Polish prisons are still proper prisons like the uk in the early 50s, and long may it continue, criminals are given tough sentances here and prison guards are usualy fit ex military personel. the guard dogs are trained to go for the testicles and not the arm.

dont comit crime in Poland

Take a look below

"You don't see anything wrong with the minister parking her official car in a space reserved for disabled people "

Its not her decision its the defensive driver training that is in place to minimize potential risk to the vip.

This happens in the uk so it should not be a new concept to you.

the Minister decided to park her official car in a space reserved for disabled people.

Sorry nowt to do with the minister but all to do with security services and driver training for those resposible for chauffeuring vip's

Security is the primary objective here, it wasn;t too long ago that a mp 's car was surrounded by a raging koderite mob and was unable to safely maneuver away from a very hostile situation.

Polonius3 "there are 3 or 4 on PF that do nothing but."

Yes there is a minrity of British posters here that wish to force their Political values on Poland, condoning riot and disrespect of the Polish national anthem.

This is a trait of all British liberals, a phenomenon that George Orwelll describes bellow.

England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals are ashamed of their own nationality. In left-wing circles it is always felt that there is something slightly disgraceful in being an Englishman and that it is a duty to snigger at every English institution, from horse racing to suet puddings. It is a strange fact, but it is unquestionably true that almost any English intellectual would feel more ashamed of standing to attention during God save the King than of stealing from a poor box.

Luckily this phenomenon has not infected Polish politics to any great extent, but it would be wise to keep an eye on what some foreign educators are bringing to Polish Schools and Universities.

Much more hard work needs to be done between now and then.

Yes more sit ins at parliment, rabble rousing and violent demonstrations against the democratically elected goverment, loads of really loud libtard shouting crying and moaning, oh and bit$hin and snitching at the EU parliment. oh and singing the ode de plop over the top of the Polish national anthem

Oh what fun between now and then.

Life / Why is circumcision not practiced in Poland? [701]

I think we don't practice it because who as an adult would allow someone with a knife to chop a piece off his todger.

therefore I dont understand why an adult would allow someone to mutilate a child, I understand that some lick the blood off the penis after circumcision (correct me if I am wrong) and at times pass on herpes to the child.

I think that because of the above this practice will not catch on any time soon in Poland.

Feedback / Would you favour a free and open PF where people could post under their real names? [55]

You can do that now

Exactly if people want to post their own details they can do.

Rather than giving someone permission to post articles , and kicking off a argument about confidentiality, why not pm the article to the suposed author and let them post that information admitting ownership if they so wish.

All this cloak and dagger rumor of past soviet membership stuff is boring, put up or shut up

Of course not. How many Polish schools were there in the UK?

Sad that your parents maybe were not aware but the majority of Polish clubs in the UK held Sunday schools to teach children Polish, there was also a very active Polish scout movement, plus many events aimed at teaching the youth about their history and culture.

"My father thought learning Polish was a waste of time, so he never taught us a word."

That I understand , many Poles in exile could not see that Poland could be free one day, understandably so .

I know that you're safe to talk to

Don't think the system is an indicator of safety , always best to keep ones self safe on the internet.

hovering like mad haven't you Dolno!

I have hovered to be honest, and I am very suprised to see how few warnings have been issued in comparison to the written interventions made by the mods.

I would suggest it proves that written (points indicators) against users profiles are issued very sparingly and maybe only as the last resort after plenty of hints to desist

On the plus side, at least everything is out in the open

Yep I would agree, It makes things more transparrent between members and mods,

I like the hover over user name feature that gives you info straight away, very good idea.

I'm half Polish, Like you.

Sorry I'm full fat Polish both parents Parent are Polish.

" huge English streak down the middle of your mindset."

I am proud you said that, another string to my bow, along with what my parents and Polish school and community taught me about our language religion and culture

Can I ask why you didn't learn Polish, was there no Polish school availabe where you were, did your Polish parent try and teach you our language?

"P3 is an American. Can't you tell"

I can tell he is a Polish catholic like me , allthough I do not agree with some of his views

No easy answers I'm afraid! It wouldn't take new posters

I think you are right.

"if they hang around that is"

yep I see plenty of new posters get a bit of a bashing , they either never return or only post selectivly to answer someones question, but probably remain wary of joining in on the more general discussions
