Travel / Videos of Travelling Throughout Poland [30]

Let's look at the first three of that "20" (although somebody might claim that the below are the first four, as he claims that 12 is 20. Hoot!):
1. The Most Famous Bakery Product Was Created by a Catholic Priest

Has anybody from outside Poznan even heard of a St. Martin's croissant? And who, other than somebody who knows nothing about Poland, would claim those are they more famous than Toruńskie pierniki? LOL! And they weren't invented by a Catholic priest either. Hoot!

2. The Country Is Home to Six Michelin-Star Restaurants

Actually, that one is correct! I had dinner at one of them last Saturday, it was superb. But very much out of the reach of most people here.

2. The Country Is Home to Six Michelin-Star Restaurants

Only an idiot would think that something built by enemies who occupied Poland is something Poland is proud of.

News / Polish military contingent in Lebanon. [183]

On the other hand a recorded interview on film, given by the Chief-of-Staff of the Irish Defence Forces, which you can watch.

Yes, but should we believe our own lying eyes and ears or the words of The Infallible One?

another unexploded device was safely neutralised after it was found 20 meters outside the compound."

That's actually quite important information: for the jihadis to land one rocket on the Irish camp might be regarded as a misfortune; to land two within 20 metres of it looks like carelessness, at best.

It's fun watching a narcissist jump through fire hoops backwards to avoid admitting that they were wrong.

Can you pass the popcorn please. Thanks.

as he understood it a rocket was taken out by the Iron Dome and debris fell on the camp.

It's a pity that he didn't read the words of Lt. Gen. Clancy:
I can confirm that yesterday afternoon there was a Katyusha rocket that landed within 2-45

should have paid attention to those nuns.

Not punching them in the face probably would have helped too.

Well, it would probably be more accurate to say that not fantasising about punching them in the face probably would have helped too.

Life / Fast Food missing in Poland [48]

want to try Ethiopian, one of the few things I never ate

For Ethiopian, head to GoJo on JPII (west side, between Nowolipie and Nowolipki). Really good food. In that same development there's also Delhi 6, which currently does the best Indian food in Warsaw, and Achi Achi, home to awesome Japanese fried chicken. Also worth checking there is the hotpot place, but don't go there without a reservation.

Mexican taco place just off HP2, at the north end

You mean Taco Loco, opposite the court? I love their tacos but for burritos I prefer Senor Lucas. Tried that place yet?

Because he's been proved wrong and he doesn't like it.

You're partly right. But the majority of the problem is that he's been proved wrong by a woman, so now he's insulting her and trying to belittle her.

You can hear the words from his own mouth. He says 'a rocket', not part of a rocket or debris from a rocket.

But who are we to believe? Our own lying ears?

And it's OK for shopping.

You mean Galeria Wisła? I had a surprisingly good curry there a few years back. Run by the same people who have the Ganesh restaurants in Warsaw and Lodz.

Jimmy Poorhouse can probably show you a photo he claims is me enjoying that curry too! Hoot!

Travel / Mystical places in Poland [18]

Plus a few places less talked about.

Have you been to Reszel? It's absolutely brilliant, one of my three favourite places in Poland. I wrote a few articles about the place for the usual Warsaw publications.

Now that I remember those, I think I'm in one of the photos accompanying one of those articles. I won't say which though, don't want spoil the surprise for Jimmy Poorhouse when he finally gets to see a photo of me!

Has it caught up with the rest of Poland I remember when going there felt like going back in time 3-4 years....

I was there a couple of years ago and found it a lot better than it was before. That said, the first time I was there, maybe 12 years ago, I had a superb curry. Perhaps Jimmy has a photo he claims is me enjoying that curry, but don't ask, he's rather sensitive about photos of me right now. Hoot!

Life / What do Poles really think about cats? [470]

Unpaid staff = slaves

No, slaves = property, which can be sold to a willing buyer
Unpaid staff = professionals who provided labour on credit and were not given what it was agreed they'd be given, much like anybody who ever did any work for Jimmy Poorhouse without getting paid first.

cats have slaves

Staff. Cats have staff. Slaves involves ownership and thus some kind of loss in the event the subject leaves, and cats are nowhere near that invested in humans. Humans are simply their unpaid staff.

they are just bits of chocolate covered in gold covered foil !!!

You mean they are just bits of fantasy chocolate covered with fantasy gold-coloured foil. Jimmy Poorhouse doesn't have enough money to buy actual chocolate covered with actual gold-coloured foil! Jimmy Poorhouse doesn't even have enough money to buy a cup of tea in a cafe, as shown by him claiming that 30 cups of tea at a cafe costs less than a month's mobile internet! LOL! Hoot!

Another of my modest investments was gold during YTK at around $350 an ounce.

Another day, another laughable lie from Jimmy Poorhouse! He's too dumb to realise that the price of gold back then is just a click away, so we can all see he's lying:
letmegooglethat.com/?q=what+was+the+price+of+gold+in+2000

Why does he bother? Even a fantasist as delusional as him must realise that everybody knows he's living in a shack in the woods without two pennies to rub together. And now he's even lost his favourite photo, the one he's for years fantasised about me being in. LOL! Hoot!

another meltdown

Always good to start the day with laughing at yet another Jimmy Poorhouse melt-down! He's really not having a good weekend: first he finds out that he's been shown to be an utter fool by believing that I'm in a photo that I'm not in, next he tries to make people think he really does still own shares that he boasted about selling a couple of weeks ago but he gets caught posting somebody else's image, and then it comes out that he's such a creep he shares photos of former members of this forum in their coffins!

Here's an investment offer: I'll bet you dollars against donuts that Jimmy Poorhouse won't say who he claims I am in the photo which used to be his all-time favourite photo! Even Jimmy realises that he's been busted yet again! LOL! Hoot!

I wonder if that's the excuse that'll be used to explain why certain images are on his computer. The kind of images that got his housemate locked up for nearly a decade.

Impressive stuff

Got to admit that Jimmy Poorhouse has some impressive fantasies. Perhaps chief amongst them is his fantasy that anybody believes a word about him having even a pot to p!ss in.
Actually, I'm being too harsh there, Jimmy Poorhouse does have a bucket to p!ss in, it's the same bucket he uses to get water from the well outside his shack.

life is good under Biden !

Life might be good, but Jimmy Poorhouse's memory certainly isn't! He's back to claiming he owns shares that only ten days ago he was boasting about selling and putting into something which back then was giving better returns!
nd I bet you still own TESLA don't you. lol
No, I put mine in VOO & VUG remember.

That would mean you have a 1.8 million bucks holding of Tesla ?

It would, but Jimmy Poorhouse sold his fantasy Tesla share and put the fantasy proceeds into fantasy shares in two exchange-traded funds. He was laughing at people who still owned Tesla shares. Just ten days ago he posted this:
And I bet you still own TESLA don't you. lol
No, I put mine in VOO & VUG remember.

Oops, yet again Jimmy Poorhouse exposes himself as a liar. Hoot! But I suppose that's better than the 'exposing himself' in the way that Jimmy's housemate does, the one who served nearly ten years in prison for being a paedophile.

Hard to know why someone would wear that, unless they were at a fancy dress party.

To be fair, when somebody is so poor that they have to run a child-minding business in a house where a convicted paedophile lives, it's no great stretch of the imagination to think that they're wearing that because it is literally the only thing they have to wear. Didn't you see that the photo was taken at the end of November? Given how little money Jimmy has, her choice may have been wearing that sweater or not going at all.

Off-Topic / Stock Market Talk and Trading - part 2 [518]

Always remember about investments that assessing whether they are good or bad requires one to look at things from several different perspectives and not just the obvious ones. For example, the photo below seems to show two terrible investments: an sweater that fits terribly badly and a shockingly bad food choice. But both are actually good investments.
(If anybody wants to see the original photo, just go to the FB page of the church Jimmy Poorhouse is an elder at and then type his surname into the search bar, you'll soon see the photos of his wife retiring from the church. I thought that if he wants to post about the ex-wife he imagines I have, well, what goes around comes around, and this actually is a verifiable photo rather than another of Jimmy's fantasies.)

The vastly oversized sweater is a good investment because it's fourth-hand hand-me-down that was given to Jimmy but doesn't fit him, so he gave it to Mrs Jimmy Poorhouse. It cost him nothing, but it provides some warmth on the nights when Jimmy Poorhouse can't afford to heat the shack (i.e. every night) and its size means it can also be used as an indoor tent whenever the roof leaks (i.e. every time it rains). A double benefit for zero expenditure is at least a reasonable deal.
The chocolate fountain is of questionable hygiene and terrible dietary effects, but it was paid for by the church and does just that little bit extra to make Jimmy Poorhouse even more morbidly obese. So it's a good return for everybody else. Plus it's better than what Jimmy Poorhouse could afford to get her (she's such a lucky lady), which would have been absolutely nothing, as Jimmy Poorhouse is too poor to even go out for a cup of tea, as we can see from him being utterly clueless about what a cup of tea costs!

News / Coronavirus in Poland - part 2 [595]

Or work....

Nobody at my firm was required to be vaccinated. For some jobs people were required to be vaccinated, but that isn't new and is very sensible. In Poland everybody who works with food has to have certain tests done first and have certain vaccinations. Do you really want sushi made by somebody who has TB and was coughing on your food while making it?

News / Coronavirus in Poland - part 2 [595]

I've had five jabs (remember that the first vaccination was two shots) and zero cases of COVID.

it was and remains a crime against humanity to force those under 50 (or maybe 40) to take it.

Nobody was forced to take it. Nobody was held down and injected against their will. People were simply told that if they wanted to do certain things (e.g. eat in restaurants) they needed to be vaccinated, because the greater good was more important than their desire to have an eat-in burger.

Life / Poles turn their backs on organised religion. [148]

The religious calture I see on tv in USA is so foreign to me.

That's because a lot of it is completely fake. For example, a poster here is an elder at a certain "Evangelical Church" in Michigan but still posts comments such as this one
Thats it, you done already, Lucy. 😋

UK, Ireland / Getting a UK state pension in Poland [37]

I just paid some NI gaps I had. Quick and easy.

And it gives a nice warm feeling inside, doesn't it. Knowing that one's financial future is that bit more secure. And at such a stupidly low cost! No old age poverty for us, no being so poor that we can't even dream of going out for a cup of tea and so have no idea what a cup of tea costs, no having to rely on charity to pay our internet bill each month, no wearing fourth-hand Walmart clothes which have been washed so many imes they've completely lost their shape (as modelled below by the Michigan Mystic), no eating roadkill and left-over fish we find lying around the docks, no getting water from a well outside a shack given donated by mum.

Somebody really should get Jimmy Poorhouse to do an advert about why it's important to save for one's old age and how the UK state pension is a deal you simply cannot miss!

Now that you put it like that it seems fair.

Not only is it fair, it would be good for his wife's mental health: Jimmy Poorhouse could fantasy block everybody from his fantasy thread about his fantasy wealth, which would no doubt make him less miserable and thus less of a misery to be around.

Hell, he could even make himself fantasy moderator of this thread and fantasy edit everybody's posts. I'm sure he'd love to edit some of his own, e.g. the one where he claimed that "market indices are called etf's", the one where he demonstrated he can't convert between two currencies, the one where he claimed that an S&P 500 tracker fund is a "tech" fund, the list is endless!

JR can have ownership of this thread that I put so much work into in exchange for three hail marys and one our father.

Well, Jimmy Poorhouse can have fantasy ownership of it. He can't really own it in the way that he owns the well that supplies his shack with water (although he was also given that, by his mother). And I have to congratulate you on choosing a price that even he can afford!

My thread, thank you very much.

Could you agree that while it's actually your thread, Jimmy Poorhouse can have fantasy ownership of it as his fantasy thread? In the same way that he has a fantasy Learjet, fantasy exchange traded funds, a fantasy racing yacht and a fantasy ocean-going yacht, a fantasy share cattle ranch and a fantasy career as a day trader. Whatever helps him get away from his grim reality of a shack in the woods would be good really. Just look at it!

He knows sod all about investments.

Jimmy Poorhouse doesn't even know he should read the names of the things he pretends to invest in. The name of the ETF that has the ticker VOO is "Vanguard S&P 500 ETF", which tells anybody who reads the name that the fund tracks the S&P 500. But Jimmy Poorhouse is so retarded that he tried to claim that
VOO and VUG are both tech ETF's

LOL! What a f*cking moron! Hoot!

Better to invest in ERNIE anyway.

Better to max out one's IKE and IZKE allowances every year. Decent rates of return and impossible to beat tax effects. Also well worth upping one's own contribution to the PPK run by one's employer, it's not as if you're going to really notice a 1% drop in your salary each month, but in my case going from 2% to 3% would result in an 800zl a month bump in pension. That would be worth having. Would be the difference between being so poor that, like Jimmy Poorhouse, going out is such a dream that one doesn't even know what a cup of tea in a cafe costs to not only being able to have a cup of tea out every single day but also having a slice of cake to go with that cup of tea. (Although looking at the photos on the church FB page, Jimmy has already eaten more than enough cake for two lifetimes. Hoot!)

Off-Topic / Stock Market Talk and Trading - part 2 [518]

Yet again the Michigan Mystic doubles down as he tries to lie his way out of trouble! But the problem is that Jimmy Poorhouse has nothing to bet with, just as he has nothing to invest!

You can no more buy an exchange-traded fund than you can buy a listed company. If you buy 100% of a listed company, it no longer meets the requirements to be listed. Instead you buy shares in a listed company. For example, I own shares in Marks & Spencer, I do not own Marks & Spencer! In the same way, one buys units or shares in an ETF. Unless you're a utterly moronic as Jimmy Poorhouse, in which case you buy nothing (because you have so little money that you can't even buy a cup of tea in a cafe) and instead pretend that you've bought an entire fund. And then you make it crystal clear that you're a f*cking moron by coming out with such insane sh!t as
market indices are called ETF's

But maybe Jimmy Poorhouse is finally starting to realise he's leaving no room at all to misunderstand how little he knows about finance: he's stopped even pretending to claim that he's better trained, better qualified and better informed than the analysts who write reports that wannabe day traders can only dream about accessing.
Lazarus
20 Oct 2024
Off-Topic / Stock Market Talk and Trading - part 2 [518]

Do they have any of that in the UK?

Yes, they do. And they also have a number of highly qualified and very well-trained analysts who focus on that particular industry. Experts who do nothing except learn about the industry and then make recommendations about whether to buy, hold or share shares in companies involved in that industry. The idea that an entirely untrained high school drop-out living in a shack in the woods is going to know better than them or have access to better information than them is utterly laughable. But the idea persists. That's because the morons who think they can beat the market help those who are better informed: the morons buy sh!t the well-informed traders don't want and are more willing to sell what the well-informed traders do want than other people who are also well informed. Of course it's also because the morons are morons and so don't know they're being taken advantage of.

And most of the time those who claim to be "highly successful day traders" are actually high school drop-outs living in a shack in the woods who only ever invest fantasy dollars. Because they have not even real cents to invest. Some of them are so poor that they don't even know what cup of tea in a cafe costs and so come out with hilarious sh!t such as it being better to spend 450zl a month on tea at a cafe that offers free wifi than to spend 29zl on 300GB of mobile data. You know, the kind of hilarious sh!t that Jimmy Poorhouse comes out with, stuff that's nearly as funny as
market indices are called ETF's.

LOL! Hoot! What a f*cking moron!
