Throwing over 900,000

The PO govt did exactly the same thing with petition they disliked. Hold the back page for Delph's latest news flash!
BTW Prof. Flis, a well-known poltical scientist, says Poland has simply proved it has a normal poltical stage. Political fatigue is a very normal feature of democratic politics which usually occurs well into the term. It often has a reinvigorating effect on those in power. PM Szydło today dressed down her cabinet ministers who were going off on private forays and stressed the govt was a team, not a collection of loose cannons.

"very quick end"

That would be a catastrophe because from a period of diffciult choices taking place during a true legislative marathon cleaning up after the disastrous 8-year PO reign, Poland would fall into nothingness. Not only were there 8 years of a warm tap-water theoretical state, based mainly on PiS-bashing, but PO still has absolutely no programme other than attacking the government over everything it says, does and proposes. Before dreaming of a comeback they should first of all create some semblance of a programme addressing the real needs of the entire nation -- something they have never done. To paraphrase Lincoln -- if you try to fool all the people all the time you end up with a landslide defeat like that of October 2015!

jon357 - all that is decent in Poland

Like Michnik-Szechter who blows his top whenever someone says "best regards to your brotrher", so too Owsiak's blood boils whenever anyone asks about his family. And it's no wonder. Daddy Zbigniew was 1st Scretary of a Basic PZPR Cell, mummy was a commie prosecutor in Gdańsk who didn't just volunteer but actually prosecuted (Harry's) dissidents, and bro Andrzrej was a member of a red thug squad euphemsitically known as the Rserve Citizens Miltia (ORMO). That probably explains why like Harry he seems to have Church-bashing genetically encoded. The good the monies he raises can do in the medical realm is unquesitonable, although his fmaily is not exactly living in poverty. His wife's company makes a killing producing those heart-shaped stickers among other sources of prosperity. Finally, he depraves young people with his annual Woodstock spectacles known for widepsread substance abuse, anti-clerical excesses, theft and vandalism. Other than that, he's a great guy.

jon357 - good news today
Isn't it strange that the shadowy new pollster Kantar has repeatedly overesitmated PO's backing compared with the figures provided by established polling organisations such as Ibris and CBOS. Might they not be on the PO payroll?

atch - all this nonsense will be
Will be replaced by a rerun of PO's well-known PiS-bashing propahganda. You must've followed TVP under the Tusk-Kopacz regimes where opposition views received restricted airtime. But the Delphs nad Baldies somehow did not protest. That's called fairness and impartiality PC-style!

Is Soros regarded here as a private individual or does he bankroll such dodgy NGOs via his notorious Destroy World Societies, er, um, I mean Open Societies Foundation? (LOL!)

atch - in order to discredit Poland!
I'm sure you didn't, but there are 3 or 4 on PF that do nothing but. The biggest offender (no-one needs mention his name) would never report that Poland is only one of 4 countries in NATO that spend the reuqired 2% GNP on defence, nor that Poland had Europe's first modern written constituiion, nor the Poland ranks amognteh top IQ countries nor that Sienkiewicz's "Quo Vadis" at one time outsold every other book on hte planet other than the Bible, nor that Polish airmen in hte Battle of Birtain had a better per capita kill ratio against the Gerries than the cowardly Brits who after all were defending their own country. No such lukc! Instead, he will sniff, scrounge and scrape the bottom of stinkiest barrel to compile as much dirt on Poland, Poles, their language and thigns Polish in general as he can. If it's Polish it has to be crappy, garbage and not worthy of His Lordship's attention.

atch - freedom of press index
As they say: "Considérez la source!" The index you mention was the creation of Reporters without Borders, a Soroesque NGO based in Frogland. That's the place they spread Enlightenment by guillotining those who disagreed and persecuted religion and believers under the heading of laïcité. They supposedly condemn censorship. Have you ever wondered why they are silent about PC-style muzzling of of free speech? Very Animal Farmish -- everyone is equal but some are more equal than others!

jon357 - over democracy
There was "people's democracy" and Ancient Greek "democracy" which condoned slavery and sex with teenage boys... Presumably in this case you're referring to EP-ocratic "democracy" where overpaid and overfed eurocrats impose their skewed PC version of theoretical democracy on other countries entirely ignoring a nation's sovereiegn referednum as well as security threats which necessitated the emergency measures in the first place. Typical of fuzzy-brained utopianist lefty liberals with their head in the clouds and hand in the chamber pot.

PiS are now backing

Again more proof that using a dodgy source such as GW distorts reality. Why not condemn France for introducing martial law?! Martial law by definition restricts human rights and enhances police powers including wider possibilties of searching premises and detaining even slightly suspected individuals. The fact is that exceptional threats reuqire exceptional means.

Turkey is in a far worse predicament than France. It is threatened by Islamist terrorists, under attack by Kurds and has a war raging along its border. The PiS MEPs only stated that the situation in Turlkey should not be judged from a cushy Strasbourg vantage point. But true to form, GW phrased things to make it seem that PiS favour emergency measures and curtailment of human rights per se.

Then he was probably an appointee of the previous scamster PO regime. Who knows is such a one would bother to consult alternative soruces and would be content just to absorb the outrageously pathetic bias spewed by Szehcter's rag.

Stebelski-Orlowski

Know nothing about the bloke. He may be a worshipper of the Soros-Michnik denomination. The main thing is that at least seven Mexicans gladly accepted the decorations bestowed by President Duda. There's a rotten apple in every barrel!

However, Orłowski but could also be an entirely innocent victim of Poland-bashing by the liberal-left media with no access to alternative news sources. If so, it would only show that giving Poland a bad name has been the only achievement of the PO losers' camp.

PiS junta

That approach is not surprising since all that's left for the frustrated opposition is to seeth and simmer in impotent rage, becuase their landslide defeat has rendered them politically harmless. The PO want a parliamentary commission to probe the chopper business, but they lack the votes to pull it off. Schetyna is calling for yet another rant & chant marathon -- some ex-SB colonels, ZOMO wives and a few other misguided souls will surely turn out to pound the tarmac. What a band of pathetic losers!!!!!

result of the actions

The reuslt of the actions of the frustrated total opposition who have spared to effort and lost no opportunity to deride, ridicule, malign, slander and badmouth their own country to foreign media, governments, NGOs as well as the EU in the twisted belief that they were predestined to rule indefinitely. Somehow it has never occurred to them that post-commie Poland's first landslide victory was telling them how fed up most Poles were with PO misrule.

@Harry
re-elected the way Tusk was to the European Council. The sole dissenting vote saved the honour of EU-style democracy. At PiS congresses there are laways no votes and abstentions -- that's the democratic way, in case you didn't know. The unanimous vote the EU wanted to pull off was taken direcftly from Stalin and Hitler.

Care to compare that with the number of PRL-era SB types and PZPR members awarded high offices under SLD, UD, UW, PSL and PO? Off-hand the count would be at least Nocna zmiana 20 - PiS 1.

"Nocna zmiana" mob

Kaczyńskis and Olszewskis were not part of the Nocna Zmiana mob. Those were: Tusk, Kuroń, Pawlak, Kwaśniewski, Moczulski, Michnik. Bielecki and a few more that I can't recall off-hand. You and your chief disciple regard the Kaczyński years as an insignifcnat interlude, the Olszewski months even more so. Again nitpicking so as to pretend you missed the point. Pretty lame. Your bag of cheap tricks needs to be renovated. Better luck next time!

BTW is the figure for the number of times this insinuation was repeated correct?

Like you?

Au contraire, there are not only Żołnierze Wyklęci, but also Solidarnościowcy Wyklęci. Those are the true patriots who were marginalised by the RT clique to mention only the Gwiazdas, Anna Walentynowicz and legions of grass-roots "S" members beaten and jailed under martial law by communist oppressors who were lavishly rewarded with medals, bonuses, honours and promotions by Michnik-style "free and democratic" Poland and its snitcher-presidents Wałęsa and Kwaśniewski.

Wałęsa was also once seen as a true patriot before his "Bolek" role became known and there was empathy for him when the Michnik gang tried to marginalise him. The way he saw it: Wałęsa has done his thing, now he can return to Gdańsk and leave the governing to us the post-KOR-ites and their allies including the Balcerites and commie-approved "Catholics" like Mazowiecki. You weren't here back then but his stand-off with the Michniks and Turowiczes and others of the ethnically and poltically correct gang was shown on television. He withdrew Michnik's privilege of using the Solidarity logo on page 1 of his rag. It was replaced with a solid red emblem which was far more appropriate considering the Michnik gang's largely KPP legacy. But poilitics breeds strange bedfellows! After the SB files had surfaced, Wałęsa flew into a panic and for sheer survival felt he had to team up with those who not long ago had tried to push him off the political stage. That marked the consolidation of an expanded RT clique encompassing the "Nocna zmiana" mob which under variyng party logos were to rule the roost until October 2015.

badly needed Polish military order

So now you're a miltary logistics expert! You probably read that in GW or some other equally unreliable, partisan rag and are now repeatedly banging on about it the way your guru does about Kaczyński allegedly volunteering to persecute dissidents. I'm sure he'll say he just happens to have a copy of the transcript:

"Dzień dobry, My name is Jarosław Kaczyński. I've got a law degree and I've come to volunteer to persecute dissidents. Where does one sign up!" (LOL)

Nothing does! The 8 years of PO-PSL scamster misrule sure didn't last forever. The funny thing is that ever since they became the bad losers' club in October 2015, they have been regularly throwing temper tantrums like a bunch fo spoilt brats and acting as if they considered themselves predestined to rule eternally rule.

Nor did you see fit to report that Macierewicz has less support than even the generally hated Schetyna and Petru.

The damage is still done

But Raczkowski and Godyń exemplify damage not ended but constantly being done -- spitting in the face of those who risked lifre and limb to oppose the regime and now are mostly living their days out in oblivion and poverty while their commie tormentors enjoy the perks, privilege, prestige and generous remuneration of power. Being rewarded for heinous misdeeds in the service of a Soviet-imposed puppet regime really sends out a great message to society, doesn't it?!

recently fired head

But he was ultimately sacked and that's says something good about PiS. Raczkowski and Godyń, both of whom prosecuted oppositon activists during martial law, were not sacked but rewarded by so-called "free and democratic" Poland's allegedly "independent" judiciary and promoted by snitcher-presidents Wałęsa and Kwaśniewski. See the difference?

volunteering to fight against dissidents

That broken-record has been played here at least 2,387 times. As usual it is based on speculation, insintuation, imputed motivvation of the "could have, might have, may have" variety, but the bottom line is that HE DIDN'T for whatver reason prosecute a single dissident, so let's look at some who did:

COL. PIOTTR RACZKOWSKI, a PZPR member, who during martial law din't just "volunteer" but actually prosecuted and sentenced opposition activists whom he called "anti-socialist forces acting against the Polish nation". Recently he won the support of a slim majority of the mutinous KRS (Natonal Judicial Council) for the post of Supreme Court Judge. 26 were for, 18 against and25 abstained. The 26 ayes show that the PZPR clique still exerts considerable clout in the judiciary. Need more proof how those who tried to quash freedom in Poland have been handsomely rewarded by so-csalled "free and democratic Poland"?

GENERAL JANUSZ GODYŃ, PZPR member, as the head of trge Sielsian Military Court in the rank of major presided over penal cases and sentenced oppostion activists to prison and in 1987 became chief of the Warsaw Military Court. In 1990, allegedly "free" Poland appointed him to president of the Supreme Court's Military chamber, a post he held until retirement in 2016. Two succeesssive snitcher-presidents Wałęsa and Kwaśniewski promoted him to successive ranks of general. There's a Polish saying: Kruk krukowi oka nie wykole. An updated version goes: Kurwa kurwie łba nie urwie!
