How does Europe benefit the US as an ally - use of bases, sharing technology, sharing intelligence, logistics, providing troops to US missions, refuelling. If you mean military there are plenty of ways. if you mean as a political and democratic ally well there are hundreds of ways.

I have spent plenty of time in Polish neighborhoods in the US. There are every year fewer native Poles there, and as their kids do not care about Polish issues - for them the Polish lessons and dancing are something to keep Gramps happy. In some cases among my own Pol Am relatives the young men of repeat NN talking points they hear from Joe Rogan or Fox.
