USA, Canada / What's Kowalski (Hamtramck, MI) kielbasa like? [18]
I just had some Kowalski Polish sausage this week.
It costs almost exactly twice as much as the commercial fat filled crap like Hillshire out of big box stores.
(About $6 - $7 a pound.)
You get what you pay for when it comes to a good meaty sausage with natural casings that has flavor besides garlic and smoke.
However like Pol3 stated, it doesn't compare with the smaller Mom & Pop Polish meat shops sausages and cold cuts.
Those get real expensive but damn are they good.
Maybe I will get some for St. Patrick's Day.
