9 twenty dollar Swiss francs = $155 U.S. dollars

LOL! Once again the self-confessed rapist and nun-puncher proves he's too stupid to do simple maths! The CHF/USD exchange rate is, as Jim sees, 1:1.1157. But Jim is so financially illiterate that he uses that rate the wrong way round, so he says CHF 180 = USD 155, instead of CHF 180 being USD 208. How f*cking stupid do you have to be in order to not even be able to convert currencies?!! Hoot!

I thought you were quivering under your table.loser,

He's definitely doing that now! Such a financial genius that he's never even seen a Swiss franc! Hoot! I've only got these in my wallet right now. Can somebody else tell the self-confessed rapist how to Google images of Swiss francs?

revelations about your true character.

We knew his character was terrible (what kind of moron boasts about raping teenagers or punching nuns?!), but we only learned today that he doesn't know the difference between a portfolio value and a bank account balance! And that he's so retarded he can't even tell you how many US dollars CHF 100 gets you! LOL! Hoot!

I will have you EVERY time in a debate

The average five-year old equipped with a calculator and a newspaper will beat Jim the self-confessed rapist and nun-puncher: they can convert from one currency to another but Jim can't even manage that!

Maybe that's why Jim fantasizes about five-year olds in the developing world, not many of them have calculators! Hoot!

What kind of retard posts a screenshot showing he's lying not once but twice?!

Even better, the kind of retard who doesn't know the difference between a portfolio value and a bank account balance!

But then it must be easy to get the two confused when you have neither, and you're so financially illiterate that you don't even know which currency is used in Switzerland. Hoot!

110,603.56 X .45GBp = 49.77 BPp or $49,772.70 USD

I'm laughing so much the tears are streaming down my face! He's too dumb to convert from Swiss francs to US dollars but claims he's a day trader! No wonder his shack is about to fall down! Hahahaha! How can one person contain so much stupidity?!?!

UK, Ireland / Getting a UK state pension in Poland [37]

Have you lived and worked in the UK for at least three years? You could get a UK state pension for a very reasonable amount even though you live in Poland.

You need 35 years of payments to get the full amount. That amount is £221.20 / 1,111zl per week, so 57.772zl per year. To get that you can pay only Class 2 voluntary contributions and those £179 / 895zl per year. Yes, those numbers are correct. For paying thirty-five times 895zl, you get 1,111zl per week for life from your 67th birthday. So it takes 28 weeks to get back what you paid in, after that you're in the money. Live to 80 and you get back 751,036zl for the 31,325zl you paid in!

More information here: gov.uk/voluntary-national-insurance-contributions/rates

Not much of a nest egg if one bad day in the market wipes you completely out.

Would need to be a really bad day on the market to wipe this out with the way it's spread.

Tomorrow when the market opens, I will buy some SOLV.
...
It closed Friday @ $60.59.

How does mystic Jim the self-confessed rapist and nun-puncher do it?! All you have to do to make money is the opposite of what he says! $60.59 when he tipped it, now at $57.71. If you'd shorted 500 shares at $60.59, you'd have made a little over $1,500, which is nearly a quarter of the amount it'll cost Jim to fix his roof. Hoot !

claimed he was only eating rice and beans 2 weeks ago

The last time Jim the self-confessed rapist and nun-puncher had enough money for rice and beans was when Marge had her big win on the slot machine last summer. That $100 would have had them eating like kings (by their standard
S) for two entire weeks if Jim hadn't been banged up a few days later. Although I suppose that was a double win for Marge.

It isn't gambling if you don't actually buy any stocks. For example the self-confessed rapist and nun-puncher has so much fin boasting about the winnings that he didn't make, because he has no money to invest, as shown by the value of his shack continuing to fall while the values of his neighbours properties record double-digit grown, because they can afford to maintain their properties and he can't.

Feedback / Who deserves to inherit Polish Forums? [344]

It would cost more to file paperwork than PLN1000, but thanks for the idea.

Admin: I just checked with a former co-worker who used to get 1.5% donations for her kid. Apparently there are organisations that specialise in assisting with this kind of thing. Essentially you operate under their paperwork umbrella and they take a cut of what you receive. How much of a cut I do not know. Thanks for the info.

I personally wouldn't be OK with donating any money in any way to this forum.

Your choice. I'd be fine with kicking in PLN 1,000 to a public welfare organisation each year. Just need admin to file the paperwork. It would cost more to file paperwork than PLN1000, but thanks for the idea.

I personally wouldn't be OK with donating any money in any way to this forum.

That's where a public welfare organisation comes in: you donate 1.5% of the income tax you paid in Poland. More specifically, the government takes 1.5% of the income tax you paid and sends it to the organisation you nominate on your tax return.

it's just Lazarus' suggestion.

A suggestion that the admin can follow and will get him at least one ninth of the way to his goal (and that's in the unlikely event that I'm the only person who throws in their 1.5%).

our admin/owner than having to rely every month on our chaotic band of misfits

He doesn't. He just sets up as a Polish public welfare organisation and gets annual donations Q1 of each year. The PF members in Warsaw alone would cover half of his annual target.

Real Estate / Anyone converted a shed/garage into a home and can shed some light if this is possible? [4]

Let me get this straight: you want to fund the cost of a house being built (in effect the cost of converting a shed will be pretty much the same as just building a pre-fab kit house) but you will have zero ownership of that house, correct? It won't take long before your Polish family decide that there's no point a house sitting empty for 10 months of the year when cousin Janusz and his wife and three kids are all squeezed into a 40 meter apartment.

I'll donate later.

Would you be OK with donating 1.5% of the income tax you pay in Poland?

I reckon that all admin needs to do is set up a Polish public welfare organisation and run PF through that. Could easily argue that the site exists to discuss Poland and Poland-related topics in English and thus is of benefit to Polish public welfare. Then the members in Poland can all donate 1.5% of the income tax they pay. That would easily cover the PLN 9k admin has set as the goal.

Question: does the sale cover only the rights to the websites going or does it also include indemnification against claims that may be raised in the future about existing or deleted past posts?

It is natural that any owner of any forum has an access to such data.

It's natural that they'd have such data that's collected after the sale, but transfers of data of EU persons would raise GDPR questions.

Food / Traditional Polish Foods [141]

Eventually, it always comes back to eating.

Interesting to see that even prisons in Florida know how good pierogi are:
Popular pierogi are healthful treats
...
Promoters say the little dumpling is making new friends among vegetarians, Iron Man triathletes and even prison inmates as a healthful and convenient food.

tampabay.com/archive/1990/03/08/popular-pierogi-are-healthful-treats-dumplings-uphold-national-pride/

This is certain to be good news for anybody facing a long stretch in a Florida jail.

Off-Topic / Moderators on PF are breaking the law: not only they can reported for it, but fines apply [96]

And where were you?

You mean Jim the rapist couldn't make bail for five months? And that's why he didn't post here even once in that time? And didn't make any other post anywhere else on the internet in that time. He may well be facing a lot longer than five months, but we really should not comment on ongoing legal matters.
Have you noticed how he keeps claiming that 18 months is a suitable sentence for raping a child? Could that be because he's trying to convince himself that photographing naked children should draw a sentence no longer than a few months? And he's already served a few months.

Vee are asking ze questions!

In some cases the questions might include ones such as "Did you really think you'd get away with making child sexual abuse images by putting camera in those bathrooms?" and "Did your housemate, the registered sex offender and paedophile, help you decide how to distribute child sexual abuse images?".

You are so paranoid it's unbelievable!

Jim the rapist isn't paranoid, people actually are out to get him! They're called public prosecutors. They didn't get him for the rapes he committed in the 1970s, but they'll get him for his latest crimes. His disappearances without warning from here are caused by him being locked up awaiting trial.

they should have a standardised contract for workers and an HR Dept to enforce best practice.

They certainly don't. Just have a look at this article: wyborcza.biz/biznes/7,159911,30159220,praca-w-warsie-jak-w-zabce-byly-pracownik-ujawnia-jest-gorzej.html

I like the way that the dining cars are rented out (by the state) to one-person businesses.

Not a fan of that myself, results in lots of abuse of staff and PKP just shrugging its corporate shoulders at such stories when they're printed in the papers.

My God, you really are a complete fantasist!

You have to hope that he's just a fantasist: some of the things he talks about having done (e.g. raping teenagers after plying them with illegal narcotics and/or hard liquor, assault occasioning grievous bodily harm on nuns, "treating" pre-pubescent girls in the developing world, etc.) are so vile you really have to hope they are just his fantasies. But the fact he chooses to live with a registered paedophile very much suggests they aren't all fantasies.
