Not that many Czechs in The UK but plenty of Slowaks.
Slowaks get on very well with Poles here and even adjust their accents slightly to speak in Polish.
Interesting thing is that older Czechs and Slowaks could understand each other because Czechoslovakian TV and Radio used both languages.Now separated,young Czechs and young Slowaks cannot understand each other.

History,culture,cuisine,character and language
Most Slowaks understand spoken Polish.
The reverse is not true.
I put that down to Slowaks having a broader ear for different accents than Poles.
As for work ethic......as a UK born man of 100% Polish blood it shames me to say that Slowaks win hands down.....
I have never employed a lazy Slowak.

We share so much in common and yet there is still a deep rooted distrust of each other.

My family was also from Kresy and spent time in a Siberian "holiday camp",my grandmother died there.
Despite The Jews heavy collaboration with the Russians I hold nothing against Jews in general.
