History / Why Was D-Day So Significant for Poland ? [266]
This is a fact. No American died for me.
During WW2, the majority of Americans died because the US government ordered them to fight in Europe for Europe. They never fought for the US since the US was never threatened.
Your participation in WW2 was 100% voluntary and had nothing to do with me personally. So please don't tell me that some men are dead for my benefit.
If you do, they died for every single human being on the globe. When they were fighting and dying in Europe, I wasn't even born.
Neither did they know that one day I would apply to immigrate to the US.
Unpatriotic??? Are you out of you fvcking mind?
Never again should Americans be sent to another continent to defend and die for others.
This is patriotism at its very best. Before the US went to Europe, many Americans were against it, That is why Roosevelt beamed when the Japs hit PH. He finally got his reason to join WW2. He expressed his joy in a call to Churchill. "We got it!", he said.
If your attitude about dying in foreign lands is different than mine, start with the upper limit...
How many dead Americans would be too many? 500,000? 1 million? 5 million?
Poetry and pathos are always easy. Numbers are a bit*ch. Especially when counting coffins.
If that is what you want to believe

Rich, I like you in many ways but could punch you in your face for being so unpatriotic to a country
