Sure lots of people, and particularly Russians don't care about Democratically elected governments as an expression of the will of the people and political direction of the country.
I care and you care but most Ruskies don't care. Zelensky won the 2019 Ukraine election on a pro-EU ticket and alignment with the West and Putin invaded because of that.
But I do agree that we should respect the outcomes of any free and fair election but you will be surprised how many people and authoritarian states dont respect that.
They only recognize the political outcomes they like.
Democracy in its bloom.
