BTW. I don't consider pointing out instances of Polish antisemitism or collaboration with the Nazis as smearing Poland; these are facts not smears.

Fair enough. Facts are not smears, but they are being used as smears, primaly by Jews outside Poland. This is evident to most Poles. In Poland this method has no chance but in the US, Israel where people have the Schindler view of Polish history, it is repeatedly used as smears.

Just as some Polish Jews collaborated with the Nazis is also fact.

It might be a fact to you, but when you start to give those facts you are immediately called an anti-Semite. It is also a very unknown "fact." Most people don't know the extent and severity of Jewish collaboration yet they "know" the Poles were collaborators and anti-Semites. Of course, you are free to spread half truths or outright lies about Poles with impunity, nay, even encouragment. Let's test this. I have made no effort to search, but you can find an English language article in the mainstream press discussing Jewish collaboration. Let's make it recent, say 2008. Post a link and we'll see what they say.

I recognise both as part of Polish history whereas you do not.

You are wrong. I recognize both too and I have enough knowledge to draw conclusions. I'm interested what the public is offered. Let's not make a pissing contest out of it, please. Let's look at the facts first.

Read Mein Kampf CHAPTER XIV GERMANY'S POLICY IN EASTERN EUROPE. It is online in many languages. Written in 1924 it oulined colonization of lands to the East because the German people needed he space. Poles were to be worked to death at best.

Read Alfred Rosenberg, Der Mythus des 20. Jahrhunderts: Eine Wertung der seelischgeistigen Gestaltungskämpfe unserer Zeit, München: Hoheneichen, 1930 about eugenics. This is a real beauty. The Nazis had to revise their racial purity criteria several times. It would be comical if it hadn't resulted in millions of deaths of the sub-humans(sic). Jews, Slavs, Roma were termed untermensch.

To say it again, it was key to depopulate the land to the East for the menschto settle. Where do you put the untermensch?

I hope you don't take it that I'm patronizing you, I just think it's important to understand Hitler's plan for what it was. A very bad and evil plan. Oh, right, he sold it as a fight against bolshevism. Like he would know something about that.

One should read Mein Kampf to see that the idea of Poland - Germany joint venture would have been impossible. Hitler's whole idea of the Thousand Year Reich depended on stealing land from the Slavs.

There really is no need for you to get angry about people knowing your ethnic origins. I'm sure that if you really didn't want people to know, you wouldn't have posted your origins here for all to see.

In fact I did post my origins. I posted that I am a Pole and a Roman Catholic.

You, on the other hand posted that you claim no nalitionality. Truthfully, you are the first person I have heard to say something ridiculous like that in all my life.

The ironies of history... built by Poles (as an army barracks), extended by Germans, (partly) destroyed by inmates and (partly) dismantled by Germans, rebuilt by Poles (as a museum) and now refurbished/restored by Germans.

Maybe you are not familiar with this story.

Germany will give 1 million euros for badly needed restoration work at the Auschwitz death camp museum in neighboring Poland, where more than one million Jews perished during World War Two

Since only Jews perished there, it is sort of a Jewish cemetary. One would think Israel would be concerned and help maintain it.

I am not in the slightest bit uncomfortable with discussing Jewish Gestapo agents.

Then why are you not discussing it on a thread that is called "Can anyone from Poland tell me about Auschwitz and The Ghetto?"

If you want to discuss what you only call "Polish concentration camps"(sic), which you repeatedly "discuss" on many threads, why don't you start your own thread.

Your whole approach to the subject is making you a fool on this forum and I hope you will get widder attention. After all, you depend on Poles for your livelyhood. People are telling you over and over that to call Stalinist communist camps Polish camps is about as accurate as calling the Nazi camps Polish camps. If you insist, you might find yourself in trouble in this country.

Now, start a thread on the topic you want to discuss and go there.

I'd like to continue our conversation on another thread perhaps. This one is just getting tired. Harry is spamming again. Jewish posters do that when they find the topic uncomfortable, with the Jewish Gestapo agents and all.

BTW, some of my posts were deleted too. A mod told me not to post too long of passages of text. You know us Polaks, we never read the rules.

Answer this. Which police force did more damage to the ghetto population? Granatowa or the Jewish ghetto police?

The Potulice concentration camp was established during World War II by German state authorities in occupied Poland in Potulice near Nakło. It is notable as a detention centre for Polish children that underwent the Nazi experiment in forced Germanisation.

Central Labour Camp Potulice (Polish: Centralny Obóz Pracy w Potulicach) was a detention centre for Germans and Poles established by Polish Communist authorities after the end of World War II in Potulice, in place of the former German Nazi Potulice concentration camp. The camp was in operation since 1945 until 1950.

Pay attention to the second paragraph.

"Of the 318 people working for Ganzweich, 300 formed the “police force,” [not to be confused with the much larger Jewish order police which reported to the Jewish council], eight were employed as drivers, motor-car mechanics and in similar honest occupations, and the rest were lawyers, who formed a court that went through the legal motions of trying people guilty of profiteering and blackmarketeering. In fact, only a few small bakers, butchers and smugglers were heavily fined or kept in The Thirteen’s prison until they paid up. The 300 policemen performed the functions of an American gangster’s hoodlums and with their help Ganzweich forced all the important businessmen in the ghetto, irrespective of whether they were honest or dishonest, to pay him protection money, which he shared with his Gestapo patrons.

As practically everything needed in the ghetto had to be smuggled in, Ganzweich’s protection racket also extended to this vital activity. Before any article could be brought into the ghetto, bribes had to be paid to the Polish police, the ghetto police and to officials of the German Crminal Police, and even then there was no guarantee that it would reach the ghetto, for a German gendarme patrolling around its walls might seize it. However, if one paid protection money to The Thirteen, the article was certain to reach the ghetto without any other bribes being paid."

This is an interesting book.

Am I a Murder?: Testament of a Jewish Ghetto Policeman (the original title is "A History of a Jewish Family During German Occupation") by Calel Perechodnik is an interesting account by a twenty-seven year old ghetto policeman in Otwock, a town near Warsaw. Perechodnik began his memoir on May 7, 1943, while hiding in the home of a Polish woman in Warsaw. The memoir, which is primarily a confession of the guilt he feels for his responsibility in bringing about the deportation of his wife and two year old daughter and their subsequent death in Treblinka, is unique among Holocaust testimonies and is extremely thought provoking. Perechodnik's account shares his profound sense of guilt for his inability to save his wife and child although that was the primary reason for his decision to become a ghetto policeman in early 1941. His description of the deportation on August 19, 1942, at the Umschlagplatz is chilling. The picture of his wife and daughter, sitting with the other victims as he carries out his duties, creates a surreal, circus-like scene that is intensified as he loads his boxcars. In relation to the previously mentioned comments by Viktor Frankl about the freedom of individuals in making decisions, it is interesting to compare the choices of Perechodnik, who carries out his duties at the Umschlagplatz, and his friend and fellow officer Abram Willendorf, who removes his police armband and joins his family in their wait for death. Perechodnik mentions several times his admiration for Willendorf, as well as for Janusz Korczak, who chose to die with the children under his care, but, sorrowfully, confesses that his fear of death prevented him from making the right decision.
