News / Years of Poland in the EU - assessment of pros and cons [1199]

I would kindly suggest to Poland to start packing and run out of the EU while still there is time.

No thanks, Poles can see what happens to countries that are unwanted by the EU: they end up sucking North Nigerian balls, e.g. Serbia.

Travel / About cars, electric and combustion in Poland. [162]

I would never have another Mazda. That was another of my disastrous buys :(

What put you off Mazda? I've had three and they've all been great (apart from the rust in certain places that MX5s are famed for). Will soon be looking for another one (there's nothing wrong with the one I have now but it soon won't meet the requirements for the local "clean air" zone). My mother had a couple of Mazdas too, one of which is still running around (now driven by one of the in-laws) at the age of 26.

Sadly, yes.

It's a real pity about the engine in that generation of Minis. I'd quite like one of the five-door Clubmans (the one with one door on one side, two doors on the other and two doors at the end) but they come with either that sh!t engine or a diesel that doesn't meet the requirements for the local "clean air" zone.

the terrible BMW engine where the timing chain is constantly breaking and killing the engine

It's technically a joint BMW / PSA Peugeot Citroen effort, and the timing chain is just one of the numerous things that cause the engines to go bang, but in general you're bang on the money. The N16 (pre-facelift Cooper S) is particularly bad. Apparently the later N14 (and, to a lesser extent, N18) engine is not terrible if it's looked after but the only way to know for sure if it's been looked after is waiting to see if it goes bang. We've got the first R50 in Poland and one of the last F54, and I'd like an R59 to go with them, but it'd need to be one with an engine that's gone bang that I'd put a crate engine into. Even then, it's a lot less hassle to just run a Miata instead.

Law / Gun control in Poland: should Polish people be allowed to own guns? [1070]

some.... don't or don't want to realize that

Well, some Americans are so stupid they think people will be impressed by them claiming to punch nuns in the face. When people are that stupid, it's easy to see why they would want to always carry a gun. In fact, some Americans are so stupid they think people will be impressed by them claiming to have given narcotics and liquor to teenage girls until those girls are unable to fight off their sexual advances. Frankly those people should be given guns, as they're so stupid they're highly likely to shoot themselves and thus improve society.

Law / Gun control in Poland: should Polish people be allowed to own guns? [1070]

It would be some kind of compromise.

Come now! It is the right of all free-born men to carry at all times an XM307. Next thing you'll be saying that we don't have the right to own an M29 Davy Crockett!

Can you get it into your tick skull that not every society dreams about guns all around?

My theory is that a great many American men believe everything they see on TV. So when they watch p0rn, they think it's a documentary and thus feel very under-endowed. To compensate for that they go out and buy a big gun. It's much the same reason why so many of them want to have huge trucks.

I had a Mini Cooper before that but the engine went :(

Let me guess: that was an R56, right? I'd love to have an R59 (the two-seat soft-top from that generation) but that engine is just too unreliable to bother with.

Only Miata is smaller.

If you're talking about the hatchback Mini, the Miata is slightly bigger (but a Mini feels a lot bigger inside), although the very early Miatas are about half an inch narrower than a Mini.

You apply from where you are, not on the UK beach, and wait for the decision

No, there is no way to apply for asylum from outside the UK, you can only apply for it when in the UK. And there is no way to obtain a visa to travel to the UK in order to claim asylum.

How do you get of 999,000 scumbags who, btw, "lost" their docs so you don't know where to ship the mother fvckers

Those who fail in applications for asylum should be returned to whichever country they stated they are from. If that isn't actually the country they are from, well, no fault of HMG that the applicant lied.
I'd also condition UK most-favoured-nation trade status on countries agreeing to accept the return of failed applicants, i.e. if any country refuses to accept the return of failed applicants it automatically becomes ineligible for any UK-taxpayer-sourced funding and all products from that country or goods containing products from that country automatically attract punitive import taxes. And also any person connected with any member of the government and/or governing party of that state is automatically barred from entering the UK (including using diplomatic passports).

Just land and say "asylum"...

She can't claim asylum in the UK, she's British.

since stupid Brits admit thousands every month without passports and visas.

You mean the Brits comply with their legal obligation to accept applications for asylum and grant it in cases where it is appropriate. Why do so many of you neo-conned want to break the law every time it suits you?

Its probaly faster than waiting 8 months to see a doctor in England.

She wouldn't wait eight months to see a doctor in the UK. She's not resident in the UK and would have to establish residency in the UK before she would qualify for treatment by the NHS, which in her circumstances would take about 12 months from the day she moves to the UK.

she has to follow the normal process like all other citizens.

Exactly, she hasn't had her citizenship revoked, she just doesn't have a valid UK passport at the moment. Technically speaking she doesn't need a UK passport in order to be let into the country, she'd just have to convince the immigration official that she is entitled to enter the UK, which in her circumstances would be simple.

Law / Not too late for IKZE and IKE contributions for 2024 [2]

Just a reminder for those who pay their taxes in Poland that for 2024 you can still put up to PLN 9,388.80 into an IKZE. If you do and you pay the higher tax rate on at least PLN 9,388.80, you'll get PLN 3,004.41 back from the taxman.

You can also pay up to PLN 23,472 into an IZE. That gets you no refund from the taxman, but if you hold the money there until you're 60, you can collect your winnings without paying the standard 19% Belka tax that applies to other capital gains.

Jimmy the self-confessed rapist is getting old, he no longer remembers things. He tries to boast about making half a million on Tesla shares, but forgets that just ten days before the day he claims to have made that money he was laughing at people who still owned Tesla shares:
And I bet you still own TESLA don't you. lol
No, I put mine in VOO & VUG remember.

And in much the same way he forgets about trying to boast here about drugging and raping teenagers.

The Israeli hostage families have been used for personal theater by the corrupt, wanted war criminal.

So you agree that Muhammed Deif is corrupt! We're making progress, next you'll agree that he's a terrorist rather than following your government's example of calling him a "militant".

Youre the one that recently claimed to have made 1.5 million from the stock market, moneybags.

Of course, the best bit about Jim the self-confessed rapist claiming to have made nearly half a million in a day was that just ten days before that stock went up, he was boasting about having sold all his shares in that company and laughing at people who still owned shares in it. LOL! What a f*cking retard! Can't even keep his lies straight! Maybe the water in that well is contaminated with lead?

Remember that Jim the rapist claims to have made the best part of half a million dollars from a single stock in a single day. But he still lives in a shack his mother gave him. Hoot!

You would have bought the forum already if you actually had the money.

Jim could buy this place with what he claims to have made in 20 minutes from just a single stock in his portfolio. The problem is that Admin wants real dollars and Jim only has fantasy bucks.

It certainly does as pointed out several posts before this.

So, given that Hamas call for the killing of all Israelis and the destruction of the Israeli state and recently attempted to do as much of that as they were capable of, doesn't that make the Irish government "apologists for genocide" as they refer to Hamas as being merely a "militant group"?

apologists for genocide

That's an interesting turn of phrase. Does it apply to those who describe as "militants" those who in reality call for and repeatedly attempt to commit genocide?

Hamas is designated a terrorist organisation By the EU and is accepted by all EU member states.

But Hamas are not referred to by the Irish government as "terrorists". Instead they use the phrase "the 7 October attacks by Hamas and other militant groups", for example here ireland.ie/en/dfa/role-policies/international-priorities/israeli-palestinian-conflict/

No argument here or from the Irish government

Remind me, does the Irish government refer to Hamas as "terrorists" or "militants"? The US and the UK are crystal clear that Hamas is a terrorist organisation but the Irish government instead uses the word "militant".

Also, where can I read the Irish government calling on Hamas to change its stance about war being the only answer and that Israel has no right to even exist?

I asked for examples of state sponsored hate

How about the hate sponsored by the Palestinian State, where the governing party (or at least the governing party of one of the states that make up the state) is committed to the stance that "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad." and that "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it"?

Travel / Road traffic - Emergency lane use [23]

Bus lanes in Warsaw are pretty much pointless given that there's virtually no enforcement.

Be careful, and sell stocks when they peak.

Better yet, remember which stocks you claim you have kept and which you claim to have sold, then you don't end up claiming you've kept stocks which only a few days previously you were boasting about having sold. Just ask Jimmy Poorhouse how shameful it feels to have that egg dripping down his face. Hoot!

News / How will Polish-American relations change if Trump is elected president again? [732]

Cultural conservativism beats his support for Israel?

Remind me which US president ordered the US embassy in Israel to be moved to Jerusalem.
Remind me which US president ordered the US to become the first country in the world to recognize Israel's authority over the Golan Heights.
Remind me which US president ordered all American funding to UNRWA cut off.
Remind me which US presidential candidate has said he'll order the deportation of foreign students who participate in anti-Israel protests.

the other party believes that if someone¡s poor, then it's somehow their fault.

I've never understood how so many poor people can be suckered into voting for a party that is so open about that belief.

help them at election time with telephone canvassing. Over Skype...

Isn't somebody still banned from using Skype after than unfortunate incident where he thought that using his mother's credit card to buy Skype credit would make him untraceable and so could use those minutes to make death threats to somebody who lives in Poland?

you are most probably right in your discussion on rockets.

You really want to trust somebody who can't tell you all of the numbers between 1 and 20 to tell which are all of the parts of a rocket? Seriously?

And even if yer man could count to 20, we have a direct statement from the Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces: "I can confirm that yesterday afternoon there was a Katyusha rocket that landed within 2-45". Not 'part of a rocket", "a Katyusha rocket".
