Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

I already answered that question in post 1881.

The hell you did.
You won't begin to touch because I got your ears pinned to the wall with it.
"What would you do to defend yourself against a knife wielding druggie higher than a kite ?"
And your answer is ?

I answered your question

The hell you did and don't forget what it was......
"What would you do to defend yourself against a knife wielding druggie higher than a kite ?"
I will even simplify it for you in a multiple choice
A. Let him stick you so he could watch you bleed out
B. You watch him rape your wife while he had the knife to her throat
C. Stand there like a coward wetting your pants

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

I have already answered your question,

The hell you have.
Try again.

57,3% think that more lax gun laws would decrease their sense of security - it would make them feel less safe.

I can understand that because that is the way it has been in Poland.
Here in the U.S. I grew up with hunting guns hanging on the walls and a loaded one by the front door.
So yes, I understand why Polish people would feel less secure than they do now.
Damn Paulina, you are a breath of fresh air in explaining who, what and why without condescending and diminishing remarks for the sake of argument............in this thread anyways. :-)

@Coleslaw
I didn't say you did. you keep saying that to avoid answering my question.
What I said was.......
No, you are still missing the point to avoid answering a very simple question presented to joun.
"What would you do to defend yourself against a knife wielding druggie higher than a kite ?"
And your answer to that question is ?

Males didn`t give anything on their own, they were pressed and forced to yield to women`s demands.

Life / Poland's birthrate on the decline [480]

Thanks to PiS, bearing children has come to an end.

Is that what you read ?
I read it was because of the covid vaccine that was making women sterile. :-)
My personal opinion is that a few generations ago we needed a large family to survive.
Many hands make light work.
My personal opinion is that today with the technology of modern machinery large families are not necessary anymore.
Plus with all the new women's rights laws today, the women have become lazy compared to before we gave them the right to vote and say no to sex on demand.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

What are the chances of a knife wielding junkie spending 6 zloty on tram fare to come to my quiet suburban street ?

What are the chances of needing a parachute when going up in an airplane ?
Most likely you will never need it but it sure is nice to have one if you do.

if it came to a confrontation then I would feel more confident with fists and kicks than I would firing a gun

Another one that thinks bringing his fist to a knife fight would be fair. oh ja ja !

I wouldn't be walking around town with a loaded gun on me - you can't even do that in lots of US cities

Half of the States in the U.S. allow you to carry a gun without a license.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Yes and it looks like Poland needs to build more shooting ranges because of the huge appetite for guns.

It is estimated that there are around 450 shooting ranges opened to the public in Poland and they're being stormed by people

That tells us that the laws will start getting more lacks soon.
Right now as I read this thread there are only "about" six people here that are grounded enough with common sense to have the privilege to own and carry a gun.

Paulina, Lenka, joun, Maf, Cargo, PolAm, and myself.
The rest are clueless cowboys that no doubt would find themselves in a heap of shlt if they carried in public.

But having a gun in Poland is one thing and using it - is another matter.

Excellent Paulina as you are very much on track here.
Same in the U.S.
This is why the tuff guy morons with a gun get killed.
They pull it and brandish it to intimidate someone only that someone feels their life is about to end by this loudmouth so the loudmouth gets dusted.

Poland simply don't merit changing the law.

Echo - echo - echo
Wishful thinking to suit your personal agenda AGAIN joun ?

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

t's a pointless question,

On the contrary joun, we want to know what the alternative of a gun would be for self defense if one or two crazed druggies with big knives decided they want to cut you up.

How would you defend yourself without having a gun ? Simple
So the question is not pointless as that is just another of your copouts.

As you were told, guns are not a problem in Poland.

Yes,, you have repeated that twenty five times now for a redirect when your collar starts getting tight.
Now back to the question as we all would like to know what your alternative would be to immobilize a couple of whacked out people that wanted to cut you up with a knife.

Hypothetically joun, what would you do to stop them if you had no means of escape ?

They don't have guns.

Precisely as they shouldn't because they are not resposible or law abiding citizens.

Tell us, how would you defend yourself against a guy high on drugs brandishing a knife, joun ?

You seem to be having a hard time answering that question, joun, try again.

We don't have those either, fortunately. Perhaps where you live. Not where I live.

Nope not where I live either and PolAm suggested quite differently than you and he is much more credible than you are trying by to control the narrative here with your endless repeating the same thing over and over and over.

Or how did PolAm put it.......

[quote=PolAmKrakow]Everything you comment on is completely twisted and any conversation with you is just a waste of time. Enjoy your day.
I concur with PolAm

Everything you comment on is completely twisted and any conversation with you is just a waste of time.

Welcome to the club of the rest of us Americans PolAm.
We all have told him those same exact words many times.

I agree. It never hurts to know how to fire a gun and use it safely.

How many times have the good guys here used the words, "responsible gun owners" and "law abiding citizens".?
Do the hools in Poland fit that description ?
Do the gangbangers in America fit that description ?

Would you carry a gun in Poland? Why?

Tell us, how would you defend yourself against a guy high on drugs brandishing a knife, joun ?
You seem to keep avoiding that question for some reason.

Really man you need to stop trying to twist what people say in order to fit your narrative.

Glad to see that you have caught on to Slippery.

But everyone who wants one, who is legally allowed to have one, regardless of reason,

Of course not joun

Guns will be given to everyone, and most people will have no clue what to do with them.

Very good point PolAm.
This is why America is a threat to any enemy that wants to put boots on the ground in America.
America has a domestic Army of over 100 million strong.
@Lenka
As far as background checks go, to buy a gun or be in possession of a gun, not only felonies can disqualify you but also any violent conviction including domestic abuse.

Poland does well already. No need to relax gun laws.

Citing America as an example is a poor idea, especially given their very high levels of gun crime.

And of course giving a gin licence without a full evaluation by a clinical psychologist is a bizarre ides.
(Did you mean "gun" "license" )
Yes joun, we heard you the first twenty-five times to steer the publics opinion.
Although your contribution has been duly noted and dismissed as pointless you keep right on parroting the same exact lines while avoiding my question to you.

Again I bite my tongue to you gun experts
It's the blind leading the blind here.
You want to give reality a try then try this.......
Set your alarm for 3:30 a.m. and in the dark see how long it takes you to get your bearings half-awake to get your weapon in hand ready to go.

If you have it locked in any kind of case.....good luck with that.......
If it is a Glock without a safety geezus be careful......
If you have to load it first you are as good as dead.....
Meanwhile...why is it so hard for you thick skinned morons to stay On -Topic ????

Nobody wants a change in the strict gun control laws in Poland.

Nobody or is that your personal propaganda opinion again ?
This is why it is us Americans duty to educate Poland on the benefits of owning a gun for self-defense.
Once Russia crosses that border it will be too late.

Why gay?

there's no appetite for relaxing strict him control in Poland or the UK.

Did ya catch it that time ?

there is no significant call by anyone for strict and effective gun control laws to be changed.

This is why it is the duty of us Americans to quash the Liberals propaganda that guns are bad and encourage the benefits to owning one.

One reason there's no appetite for relaxing strict him control in Poland or the UK

You lost me, him ? is that some kind of gay law ?
Of course the governments aren't going to give back to the rightful owners their guns once they have confiscated them.
Give up that kind of CONTROL, are you kidding......

The Cursed Soldiers of Poland

Their fortitude and resilience was like none other.
Ukraine may now be facing the same dilemma.
The more I read about them the more I understand why some of our Polish members here are the way they are.
Does anyone know the true number of these Polish soldiers that fought Russia ?

Do tell us how many times that it has happened in the U.S. compared to Poland's population and gun ownership ?
(Crickets)

What are the rules there about felons having guns?

Open season on them here in the U.S.A.
What are you going to do to defend yourself, joun, call 911 and scratch the attacker that wants to kill you ?

A six year old should be trained not to touch the gun without an adult being present like I was.
(Out of sight, out of mind)
If he does then we call that pis poor parenting.
An unload or locked up gun is worthless when the perp is already in the house Silly Boy.
We have re hashed this over and over so please read all the posts in this thread by the good guys (law abiding gun owners) before you post the same b.s. that has already been posted twenty times and been answered appropriately twenty times.

You are driving us nuts by repeating and repeating and repeating the same old b.s.
Thank you in advance.
Please stick to the subject of the thread.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Fear nothing except the people with bigger and better guns

That would only be the military in my case joun and they are busy threatening China at the moment.

Fortunately people in Poland don't want them.

Says a gun grabber British ex-pat speaking for Poland.
You don't want one then don't get one but it is the Polish citizens "choice" if they want one and many have them already.

They just need to be upgraded to tactical weapons is all which is coming soon to Poland.
I see on the news this morning where six people were shot in France where guns are outlawed.
Just think if some law-abiding citizen in the crowd was strapped they may have been able to save those six people with one well place shot to the perps head.

It must be strange to be so fearful that you need to keep a loaded gun in the house or take one with you outside.

Rubbish, just the opposite, joun.
When I have my loaded guns in my house, I fear nothing.

Raw steak laced with cyanide

You watch to much t.v.

I'm glad I live in Warsaw.

So are we. :-)

What if the 'home invaders' have more and bigger guns?

Impossible at my house joun
He would have to bring a truck with him to haul it
Besides, my dogs would alert me before he got near my home.
I can't give away all my secrets but trust me, the deck would be stacked in my favor tremendously. ;-)

(Correction, +P not P+)
This is the stuff to get for home defense (what I use) as the perp would bleed out before the cops got there.

usa-gun-shop.com/the-best-9mm-ammo-for-sale-in-2018-extreme-bullets/

I don't think this +P stuff is even legal in Chicago but you can come to Michigan and get it in almost any sporting goods store or gun shop.

It's pricey at about $1 a round so you don't use it to punch holes in paper with.
You save it for special occasions. :-)

@Novi
If you have ever shot a gun inside a house you would shlt how loud it is.
Most likely if you didn't hit the perp with that hollow point P+ defense round there still would be a streak of pis s going out the door that he came in.

No, I would not turn a lazar on as I have 16 rounds in my Springfield 9mm that I keep next to my bed loaded.
It has been there loaded for years and has never shot anyone yet.
And it won't unless I tell it to.
