Everything depends ... what must happen is that we all must move forward. And Slavs shouldnt look like German Nazis.

£ódź has lost his paddles :)

How about Poles and Croats? Many of my students enjoy the hospitality of Croatia and, of course, they have stunning seafood :) :)

How about Poles and Croats?

We had some good Croat neighbours, before they went back to Croatia. We may visit them this summer.... But good question, how do they get along in general?

German Polish/Slavic children .... Persian Polish/Slavic ... Indian Polish/Slavic .... Asian Polish/Slavic ... even Turkish Polish/Slavic Children ... These children should be groomed totally to rise up as Pillars of the Slavic tradition

What are you smoking....?

A "slavic" union never benefited Poland in the past and it won't in the future. The EU is suiting Poland just fine, the amount of industry, infrastructure, civics, and monetary/fiscal relations built from it cannot simply be relinquished and abolished.

Besides, what would be so "slavic" about it? Slavic is a term to regard a genetic group of ethnicities, seeing as how you've already made it into a melting pot through theory, what basis would this "union" stand?

Croats still despise the fact they are Slavs.
Still...

What would they rather be? Irish?

The Croats are very keen .on not being regarded as Slavs. According to them, they're descended from the Goths. The fact that they speak a Slav language is only an accident, they say."

Hitler's opinion about Croats.

Many Ustashe members were returned to them through the dealings of Ante Pavlić. Such radical elements are still at large in Croatia and they'd have to be brought to heel. Germany had that ability around the time of Genschner but Merkel is more concerned with Croatia's accession tempo and the stymying influence of Slovenia. Poland would have to be mindful of containing radical factions.

Oh.... they thought of themselves as Goths, Aryans (historical reasons), Persians....

They are facing some identity problems.

I think they are dressing up as Germans( helmets, uniforms from WWII), speaking German gibberish when alone at home ;)
Just joking, but I really don't know what would they like to be. Not Slavs.

But the truth is they are quite mixed with Italians, Austrians, Hungarians and Serbs, so their family names have letters like w, y and others which originally don't exist in their alphabet.

Contrary to Serbs, they always liked to be assimilated by some of their neighbors hating what they really were. Slavs. Now they are heavily mixed Slavs.

But with aspirations to loose that label in time.

They remember their origin when they see the poor serbian man bound in their basement.

i hope that eventually good Polish-Croatian relations may result in weakening of German influence in the region. Too long Croatia is exposed to heavy germanization that is encouraged by their deeply pro-German oriented elite. That pro-German attitude lured Croatia even in alliance with mujaheedines ((Turkish Islamists and German imperialists always allayed on Balkan against strongest Slavic faction in the region- Serbians)) during process of Yugoslav dissolution and bloody Civil War that was desired, inspired and financed by Germany/Turkey, Islamic league, NATO and EU. Also, during WWII, Croatia as loyal German satellite allayed with Germany and Turkey.

Is that likely, given Germany's influencial status in the EU?

Is there a way to improve the relation between Croatia / Serbia? Better beat the Germans at their own game, no?

You are so stupid.

Turks are muslims but most of them are not islamists.

Can we call members of any nation in Europe as christainists.

There is a big difference between believing a religion and being a fanatic of that religion.

I am sure that Europeans are more religious than Turks.

one of main problems for future Slavic alliance (or Sarmatian Confederation) would be to deal with aggressive, hostile, anti-Slavic, anti-democratic,... foreign/outside influence and presents anywhere on the territory of Alliance/Confederation.

Crashing of Yugoslavia was one thing but we can expect stronger resistance from future global Slavic Alliance.

You are so stupid.

no. i am right.

how you call them is your problem

for Muslims, religion means nation

No, it is not.

Poland would really have to tread on eggshells with Croatia and Serbia. There are still many nationalists in both countries who either deny bad deeds or will just turn a blind eye. Crow, to his credit, has criticised Arkan though I wonder how he sees him as much worse than Ratko. Drabić redeemed himself with those wonderful hands :) :) His wife was eternally grateful :) As southern and Crow have themselves admitted, there is much machoism in the Balkans and Poland would be skating on thin ice if they had to mediate any scuffles. Poland would be an excellent mediator and I think both Serbs and Croats look up to them in a way.

So much for the future of a slavic alliance...nobody (besides some nutters) seems to want it seriously.
Slavs hating and mistrusting their brethren, or at best being desinterested in their fate. I wonder when the Serbs will learn their lesson...

Fresh wounds....

What qaulities does Poland (Diplomatic Core?) posess that would make them a prime candidate for the job?

They command respect from both countries. They have no inherent bias, unlike Germany or France would have towards Croatia (Britain too). They also regularly go to both countries and ties are amiable.

let me show you something interesting.

But, this shouldn`t be interesting only to you but also for all decent Slavs who contemplate about future Slavic Unity. This is about anti-Slavic Germano-Islamic coalition and this is with what Serbians needed to deal defending Yugoslavia >>>

Why? Poles love Croats when they travel there. They also respect Serbs and have much positive history. They may tilt towards Serbs if they are older but there was an anti-Serbian stance in the Polish press during the Balkans War. The tour guide said as much when I was there.

anyway, no matter all challenges in front of us Slavs in era of globalization, i regard Slavic Unity as very noble idea. For now, at least we should have something like Pan-Slavist Congress, that would be the arbiter in inter-Slavic disputes and coordinate our cooperation on the fields such is culture. That for start.

The union of all Slavs is the most natural thing that should happen. Look at our languages for God's sake. We all have the same words for water, earth, luck, light, glory, man, woman, guard, hold, etc, etc. Our culture and our mentality also overlap. Why would we Slavs accept to be separated and segmented in era when all major civilizations tend to combine? why? Only due to influence from other neighboring nations and foreign interests? because we aren`t capable to organize and secure right of our civilization to survive test of time?

If we Slavs concentrate, we have better chances to survive and prosper in this beautiful but also hostile world.

The words are the same, Crow? Woda, ziemia, szczęścia, światło, chwała, miężczyzna, kobieta, trzymać? Sorry for the Polish, Mods, but I just want to see if the words are the same. Thanks! I think 3 or 4 are similar in Russian too.

Crow,

What you show about German tactics in ex-Yugoslavia in WW2 is not related to Turkey or Turks.

It is mentioned that an Arab muftu is used by Germans against Serbs and Jews. They used Ottoman Empire ( which is ended in 1923 almost 20 years before WW2) too to reach their aimes.

Again there is not any relation with Turkey and Turks.

IN WW2 a lot of Jews came to Turkey escaping from Nazis. Turkey welcomed them.

Your Turkish islamists theory is a bullshit.

Rock, many Slavs go well back in history to support their claims. This is sth I have noticed. The Celts do it to a lesser extent but it is still visible. Asides from the organ doctor scandal, it would seem that Turks have been out of the picture for a long time. To my knowledge, they sent no troops to support Bosniaks and also didn't protect them.

Crow, rock does seem to make some good points about the Turks. I see the detrimental effect of the Ottoman Empire but modern Turkey doesn't seem to have axes to grind with Serbia. They wouldn't threaten any Slavic alliance IMHO.
