As Russians use to say: vot ti daiosh, vania ti bliad

Oh please... don't spam the thread with that illiterate nonsense. If the only thing you know in Russian is swearing, then I condole with you. I've never heard of the expression you came up with.

I believe Russian society deserves better president not those xenophobic ones

I absolutely agree with you. 100%. I'm free, not binded and that's not problem for me to admit that putin and medvedev are far from being perfect. But the point is that you're not ready to admit Saakashvili is much worse and simply destroy your society, originality and your cultural values.

Unfortunatelly I couldn't manage to see any scent of soberness in your posts. Neither could you in my posts, I believe which is logical. Your mates are "nashi".

If you know any other sources/version then please share with us. I'm sure we will enjoy them

I'm still trying to find the most detailed version which I remember I read.

Was the holocaust not part of Polish history?

That's a tricky question.
Polish historians used to say some 6.5 million Poles were killed during WW2. Jewish historians made corrections ans sad 3 mil of those were not Poles but Jews, even though the sad Jews had lived in Poland for generations.

Also, the word holocaust is copyrighted by some Jewish business so it cannot be applied to Poles. Ergo, holocaust may not be a really a part of Poland's history, as per the wishes of our Jewish brethren.

But that's OK, holocaust is a Jewish business and "there is no business like shoah business"

Russian version sounds simple: We've won all battles and liberated all of you.
And now we are going to win The Mother of All Battles with the Great Satan lol.

Name me one twentieth century battle that poland won and cite sources. ?

Yes. All we care about is money. Maybe the holocaust was all a jewish idea. What a genius theory you came up with. Go crawl back under a rock.

I don't think it was. But exterminating entire tribes wasn't something Jews would shy away from. Heck, they pride themselves in that.

I assume you're referring to things that occured in the Bible more than 3000 years ago. Whatever we did then I can't deny or comment about. But I don't see where we've taken pride in that. Where do you see that?

Hey you, name one battle that Russians won... How foolish they are who think that Russia won any battle… then do not forget to realize the consequences and answer to the question if it was real victory

Dougpol got banned for his anti-Kaczynski views. It's a good job Son of Dougpol is here to keep up the good fight. Censorship never wins out, totalitarianism should have taught Poles that, shirley?

Yes please. :) It's interesting for me which of my words might be read as "racist" and "anti-polish".

Well...:

the most educated pshek ever

"Pshek" can be used as derogatory term ;)

But I don't think Sasha is anti-polish :)

I didn't know it was only Polish-Lithuanian army that won the Grunvald battle. :))) Something new for me...

Not only, there were also Rusini, Czesi, Mołdawianie, Tatarzy, but I guess Polish-Lithuanian army were the main forces. Those who took part in the battle:

Pay attention to the date of this post and the general atmosphere of the discussion with Mac. :) We'd been at odds first time. :))
Besides, Dekameron was obviously referring to some my posts in other threads.

OK, I can see now that McCoy first wrote "you ruskas".
I just don't like when people use derogatory terms for nationalities, even in the heat of discussion.

Me neither, however one can sometimes make a good use of it. The feature I appreciate in Poles the most is that they are usually straightforward. They don't bother their head on how to come across wearing put on political correctness. That appeals to me; that's how I'm trying to behave and that's how I expect others to behave, since it casts a seed for a sincere and open discussion which finally reveals who is who.

I'm still "new" to this forum and didn't read it much ;)

Then "dobro pozhalovat" (welcome). :) Yet it seems like you read Russian forums, blogs dedicated to Poland. Would be great if you could share your perspectives on what you pick up from there.

Yes, I know what you mean.
But I guess some people can change their ways when they realise that their behaviour is wrong and not accepted by others ;)

Then "dobro pozhalovat" (welcome). :)

Thanks :)

Um... What exactly do you have in mind? ;) Because on the internet you pick up a lot of stuff, both good and bad. One could write a book about it, I guess ;) In short, I got to know Russians better, I think (in fact, before I didn't know them at all :)), or, at least, some of them. And Poles. And myself :)

And I've noticed that we all just want to get along, but somehow it's not that easy ;)

However, lately I can see a light on the horizon :) Some hope. A wind of change coming from the Russian authorities, especially president Medvedev. Or at least it looks like it ;)

And on the 9th of May I'm going to kindle a light of my own at the Soviet cemetery in my city :)
