SKI...SKY...ZKI...Polish surname endings

most of Polish surnames ending in -ski, -cki and -dzki are derived from place names - Molędzki probably means 'of (or 'from') Molędy (or perhaps Molęda) - there is a village called Molendy (previously Molędy) in southern Masovia (Masovia is the region where Warsaw lies)

That may well be true but many derive from trades.
As in Kucharski.

And Kaminski

A colleague of mine has the family name "Koszarski". Might it mean "basket maker" or the like? Think I might have alreadt posted this question on PF.

My last name is Sembritzky, however my dads side of the family is from Germany. Apparently back before my family moved to the US from Germany, it used to be spelled Sembritzki. Anybody have an idea to the meaning behind my last name?

Greetings all,
From what I know, my family is Polish, but anyone who knew /knows the details of our immigration to America is either dead or not willing to talk about it other than insisting that we are Polish, not Ukrainian or anything else. My family's current spelling for our last name is Rozyczko, which I'm aware is not a polish spelling, and past my great grandfather who immigrated with his wife, the name doesn't exist (and it's not the name he emigrated under, as there is no immigration record for that last name). Any ideas as to what the original polish last name could be?

Most likely Różyczko

The rather similar Różyczka is the maiden name of the mother of the current prime minister..
