Where to find carob in Poland?

Hello,

Generally speaking, where can one find carob in Poland? Carrefour? Kaufland? Or more specific health / herbal shops. We have a herbal apteka in the town where I am. Would I find carob there? Does anyone know?

you may find it in more of a specialty store- not the big box grocery stores.

What is carob? I'm not familiar with it at all - can anyone explain? Does it have any particular qualities that I should be aware of?

It's a legume and the edible pods are ground to make carob powder. It's used as a chocolate substitute, although I've never tried it.
