In order to get the best Pizza in the world one has to travel to its origin: Italy. There and only there can the best pizza on a whole country level be found. I was there last year for a few days and i had Pizza for lunch and dinner every day, humm lovely.

Polish pizza is sporadic, what is a Polish pizza? those rectangle things with onion and some weird cheese? the other private establishments that make their own bases that differ in yeast levels from one to the next? Some are good others are terrible. The only time you have any consistency is from a national chain such as pizza Hut.

The best pizza ive had form Poland are Italian wanna be establishments, and in that case see the above.

Actually pizza is an American invention, what you find in Italy is tomatoe bread they don't use any meats it's a big difference from pizza.

I totally disagree @Pawelek1 #36 and I must show you a source, but I can even do without. Read this.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_pizza

"Pizza first made its appearance in the United States with the arrival of Italian immigrants in the late 19th century." Where do you get that wrongly idea from ? American pizza is thick and totally not an Italian, thin pizza.

Well that's where you're wrong. Pizza as we know it today, yes it's very much an American invention and I do agree that some of the best pizza in the world you can only find in Chicago area. I personally prefer thin crust pizza, never did like Chicago style deep dish pizza. If you really want a good pizza you can forget the fast food chain restaurants, only family owned restaurants will do. Years ago there was this small place in Cragin area of Chicago on Fullerton called Abondanza, pizza and lasagna to die for. It's probably closed now or it has moved somewhere else, even back then the neighbourhood started to change. Anyway that was the place where I had my best pizza ever.

What the Italians invented was "Focaccia"

The ones from my local Italian restaurant, that is actually run by an Italian family are the best...Polish pizza is probably the worst in the world, actually scrub that, Czech pizzas are the worst in the world...I will however say the chicken kababs in Krakow were strangely enough very nice....Im no pizza connoisseur but I enjoy food so I can separate the wheat from chaff...

The reason italian pizza tastes "soooooo goooood" is that they use real tomato sauce and not out of a can. Also they use real cheese.Believe it or not,but there is artificial cheese!!!!and it is used by pizza joints.

Been there, seen it and tasted it. As I have said Chicago was the place where i had my best pizza ever, California probably the worst, now there's food for your thought. It's an opinion based on my experience no need to read into it more than have been stated. You have your opinion, I have my.

My friend was rather shocked when I told him that donuts were French and not American.

Polish pizza is really good but it's all subjective. The pizzas in Scotland are good too. Snappy's or Piccolo. Piccolo did the best tuna pizza I've tried.

Poland has some good non-chain places. In fact, you can really pick up some bargains there.

I do not like pizza that much (please don't kill me) But to say that Pizza is an american invention? haha what a blasphemy! Nobody denys that italian inmigrants brought Pizza to the USA and it changed overtime a little, valid! the same happened everywhere, polish pizza is different than italian or argentinian.

Geez, it's so hard to deny yourself for a long time. I'd love a pizza but it'll just go straight on. I'd love one of those super metabolisms. Ah well, whisky and coke is the lesser of 2 calorific evils and it'll do me just fine. Good old Grants :)
