...and your choice would be?

I did not change my opinion stated in this topic before. Hopefully Ron Paul goes third party, the best solution would be if both Libertarian and Constitution parties backed his candidacy. He has the money from supporters, wont bankrupt. If he lose what is most likely , so what? At least spoil a bit establishment party!

Lesser for President;-P

Good choice! :)

Well first of all Lesser lives in Gdansk, Poland, so that would be a bit difficult :)

No problem for me, I could be a dictator president :)

My prediction about the Super Tuesday turned out to be pretty accurate:

Today is the Super Tuesday - who do you think will win?
My bet: Obama amongst the Democrats and McCain amongst the Republicans.

In fact McCain won with the Republicans and Democrats had a tie between Obama and Clinton. Obama is in a better position now, because more States that are still on the ballet lean towards Obama then Clinton.

The big news is now that Senator Clinton had to donate $5 million of her own money to the campaign and her staff decided to work the next month for free. That can only mean that her campaign is in big financial troubles!

Mitt Romney had backed out? Holy crap! You're right! So the former 'underdog' Huckabee is in a two-man race now. Wow. Go Mr. Baptist Minister go!

The biggest difference between Huckabee and any other candidate are taxes - Huckabee is proposing abolishing IRS and federal taxes and implementing a flat sales tax instead.

Mike Huckabee - What is the "Fair Tax?"

Ron Paul is still running and he too wants to abolish the IRS. Unlike Huckabee, he also plans on significantly reducing spending.

BTW, Romney didn't quit, he suspended his campaign. He still keeps his delegates, so he can still work out a deal.

What America needs is someone like Ron Paul as a president. Of course it will not happen soon but let’s dream…

I had hoped so, but there is so much garbage going around on the internet about his connections that are false, I just wanted to make sure.

that's a good one.

I hope and pray Obama is chosen for the democrats. Color aside, the Clintons have not exactly covered themselves in glory, have they. there is the issue of an extra-marital blowjob and then there's the alleged presidential pardons.

there is the issue of an extra-marital blowjob

What exactly is the problem with that? Are blow jobs or extra marital affairs illegal in the US?

$40 mil wasted investigating someone's sexual pleasures, while only $600K on 9/11 Commission. Go figure. Americans and their priorities.

There is some serious trouble brewing for the Democratic Party during these elections. The race between Obama and Clinton is running so close, that this time around the vote of so called "Supper Delegates" may make a difference and this may cause a big controversy. It is not known exactly who those "Super Delegates" are, how do they count their votes, and do they vote their own will or the will of the voters. This potentially could become a huge embarrassment for the Democratic Party, right on the doorstep of their big success - recapturing the Presidency of the U.S. If the race ends really close and the votes of so called “Super Delegates” will make the final difference, the Democratic Party will have a lot of explaining to do to its constituents.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one. That whole scandal was pointless and a complete waste of time. I would clarify a difference though....I'm not sure the Monika/Clinton thing was an indication of American priorities per se....more likely an issue of dirt that the opposite party could exploit to their advantage, and a scandal for the media to tout. After the first day, I was sick of hearing about it.

Yeah, and it won't matter who you vote for. I'm just waiting for the new terror scare just prior to the election trying to scare us all into another 4 yrs of Republican hell. With McCain we'll get the same

Did you notice the news about Khalid Shaikh Mohammed's trial?
latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-gitmo12feb12,0,2756288.story

He was one of the masterminds behind 9-11. Something tells me that the climax of this trial will fall somewhere about... the elections time. What a coincidence (again), isn't it?

With McCain we'll get the same

I noticed no one has brought up the last US election where McCain used a term when refering to another group of people, "Gooks" that sent citizens in an uproar.

Obama is the closest thing America has to Osama

What scared me about Obama is his non educated views on the very group the USA is at war with. This is why he keeps dodging the bullet when Clinton asks for a debate. Of corse this is IMO, Clinton on the other hand seems to be able to look at the people from other countries and find the positive of the people and looks at their needs.

I wanted to add one more comment. In the USA I feel in order to have a fair and unbiased election none of the vote results can be viewed before every last vote is placed. It is a known fact that people gravitate to popular views. If a voter is unsure they look for the one that is leading vs. knowledge of the particular candidite. This sways the vote and I always felt that (yes, I watch) televised vote results were the #1 problem with our system. Any one else have this view?

The Democrats already knocked themselves out of it with 2 unelectable candidates.

And all this talk of super delegates means the fix is in, your vote wont count.

2 unelectable

The 1st maybe, the 2nd was due to being in the heat of war. Most feel it's not good to change during a war.

Zbigniew Brzezinski is now a foreign policy mentor to Barack Obama.
Will Obama follow Brzezinski's view of the international affairs as the President? What are Brzezinski's views? We know that on one hand Brzezinski advocates talking to the rouge states such as Iran or Venezuela, on the other hand he does not rule out a military conflict with those regimes.

Brzezinski worries that the US risks becoming "a huge gated community self-isolated from the world... One of my indictments of Bush is that he has fostered a culture of fear in this country rather than diminished it."

John McCain has no chances of winning in the general election mainly because he is hated by the conservatives. He is viewed by them as a liberal, big government, flip-flopping carrier politician. Also most Evangelists will vote for Obama because of his Church. Some of my family are Evangelist and they hate McCain. Huckabee would've won, because he would've carried Evangelist vote and most of the Black vote. They would've voted for him because he is a Baptist Minister. McCain on the other hand has no chance.

Suprisingly Liberal-John McCain
