this is an extract from another

Foreign nationals are now responsible for more than one in five crimes committed in London, police figures revealed yesterday.

Around a third of all sex offences and a half of all frauds in the capital are carried out by the non-British citizens.

The biggest offenders are Poles, who have flooded into Britain in record numbers since the expansion of the EU.

They were responsible for 2,310 crimes in the first six months of this year - including 583 violent attacks and 32 sex offences.

I'd just like to make clear that not all Brits are abusive thugs. I'm English and I lived in Poland for 2 years before moving back here with my gf. I have to say that there are thugs everywhere, even in sleepy polish towns such as Opole. I was attacked once during the world cup by a 'młotek' and I've seen lots of violence at the Odra matches. However, this has not tainted my view of Polish people 99.9% of which are very friendly people. So... I'm calling on all Poles who think that because of these terrible crimes England is a horrible place to live and all Brits are scum to take a look at themselves and decide... Are you one of the mindless, retarded, useless 'młotki' that I used to see at football matches???? I thought not :))))

Yorkshire isnt the most cosmopolitan place..

I live in "Yorkshire". Now it depends on where you are talking about. North, South or West Yorkshire. If you just mean "Yorkshire" then you're talking about a "county that is the largest in the UK.

I doubt if any of Yorkshire is as diverse as say London, but it can come close, if you're talking about Bradford or Leeds in West Yorkshire. Sheffield in South Yorkshire is pretty cosmopolitan.

North Yorkshire, where I live, is mostly rural. Hundreds of square miles of nowt but moorland with the occasional town. There's nothing to attract immigrants who need to work.. no heavy industry. Ny town, Scarborough is one of the few places you'll find in North Yorkshire with any kind of industry outside of York itself.

You don't have to be unsure, there are some bad eggs amongst them (e.g. some dubious 'law students'), but Scots are cool folks.

was her parents recieving child benefit ?

I won't point out the bad grammar as that's been done, but why update a post that'st not been touched in months to make such a nasty comment about someone who lost their life in such awful circumstances ?

Do you not have anyone you care about in your life ? Can you not for one moment try and imagine what it must have been like to lose someone like that ?

"Michael Clark is expected to be jailed for life by Sheffield Crown Court today for murdering Zuzanna Zommer, whose family had moved to Britain from Poland to start a new life. The court heard that Zuzanna's parents, Robert and Matgorzarta, returned from dropping off their nine-year-old son for his first day at school to find her partially naked body on the floor in their bedroom in Leeds. A forensic pathologist, who conducted the post-mortem examination, found that Zuzanna was raped and her throat was cut. She was stabbed in the stomach and had her head stamped on. Blood matches were found on Clark's clothing. He was a neighbour (Times 9th May 2008)"

The initial reaction that she had been killed by a 'Pole' shows up something deep and disgusting in many people. I hope that all you xenophobic people will learn a little bit of compassion after the horrific death of this poor child. Maybe its time for some of you (or all of us) to take a long hard look inside.

RIP Zuzanna Zommer

stop looking for reasons to pick on so called 'xenehobes'. So what if some people believed she was killed by another polish person or not. What happened to Zuzanna Zommer was awful and you trying to use it to satisty your agenda against so called exenophobes on this website is trully disgusting, a simple RIP would have been enough.

Stop trying to use tragic situations to fuel your personal agenda

thnx

Leeds is a complete s--hole. Seriously you Poles really need to do some research on the places you're moving to before making the move. There are some places in the UK that are just like the Bronx, full of crime, drugs etc. There are some places where Britons will not accept foreigners in their town and will force them to move. There are also places, such as where I now live, where this sort of crime is unheard of. Where people will greet you in the street despite not knowing you. Peaceful, fun, loads of things to do. Great places and safe environment to bring up children. Picture perfect. You just need to look for those places. Kirkham or Wesham I could recommend you. There are also a few towns in Wiltshire such as Salisbury and Amesbury. These are places I live/lived and would highly recommend to look out for when making the move.

A life sentence ?

Is that the one where they get out in 15 years or less, still with plenty of years left to live after years of the tax payer paying for their plasma screens and gym equipment ?

I agree totally with the above.I also feel this is one of the most horrific crimes of recent years - a hard working decent family and an innocent daughter suffering depravity like this is the stuff of nightmares.
