I don't see people in Europe hanging flags on their homes like they do here.

not quite. Look at Polish people. Majority of them hang out national flags whenever they can. People in other countries do it too but not as often as the Americans, that's true. I don't have any problems with people hanging out flags and loving their countries as long as they accept and respect other people in the world.

Tally Ho old bean. No fun really. All you have to do is leave a cheap 9 carat gold bracelet on the pavement and hide around the corner with a shotgun to get a full bag in minutes.

splendid idea... ive got a couple of brewsks in the fridge... bring round the 12 and we can sit on the roof taking pot shots...

alternatively... we can drink our brewsks in the back garden and wait until they come a-thievin... then do a tony on them... bury them under the patio... splendid...

I didn't see any flags on flats or homes in poland. maybe on a car or at a football match...that's about it.

Where were you in Poland?

all over, currently Masurian Lakes. As far as I know there's a law in Poland about hanging out flags. Someone told me that Poles can hang them out only on certain days (correct me if I'm wrong)

Not quite true. The flags on many dwellings are put up by the local council. And only on special days.
The last time the publiic drapped flags all over the place was during the last World Cup.

There used to be a lot of us in the area. Most migrated out west or up to Canada. There aren't even enough to get a casino up and running. That would be good for me :)

Freebird. Am I American enough for you ;)

Not as many as in the US, it's a fact

LOL my grandmothers street ...every other home has a flag :)

No, it isn't true... a few weeks ago (or sth like this) we had the Flag day and I've seen just a few flags... Most of Polish people don't care about things like that.

Personally I don't have any problem with that. I'm not ashamed of our flag. When I look at the flag I don't see Bush or any other politician behind it

all I can say I see Polish flags around

I don't either. I love my country, but I can care less if some dim wit wants to burn it in another country . If they were here they'd get the living sh*t kicked out of them :)

Well, maybe in (small) towns or in countryside it is more popular to hanging out flags. There is nothing wrong with it, but it isn't popular in cities.

I can't argue with what you can see. It really must depend where you live. I would say that Wroclaw is pretty much flag free at present. I'll try to take more notice when I go out tomorrow, then I'll let you know.

Re: I saw it today on TV. Do you think it's OK?

- Another Polonophobic blame-game by a Yank? He suggests that 'some Poles' have burned the American rag, oops, flag, and that he doesn't blame all the Poles for the burning, but the tone of his postings seems to indicate something opposite.

Of course, from the viewpoint of not some but very many Yanks we Poles are only allowed to kiss the American behind.

I wonder if that freebird (sic) also fies into some Third World forums and criticizes their nationals for their real anti-Americanism?

Now what is worse: the rampant Yank racism towards the Polish people (e.g. the ultraracist 'Polish jokes,' the racist refusal to cancel the visa requirement for the Poles, the racist harrassment by Yank customs of Polish visitors, the ripping off by the American embassy of Poles trying to get Yank visas ), or burning the star-studded un by some commiefascist (and Polonophobic) bandits during Bush's visit?

:)
PS. I think Poland much more needs the EU than America. It's you Yanks who should need us, if you cared about your interests. :)

you sound very frustrated. You make us Polish people look stupid. Get a life

Merrick is one of these guys who made bad experience with US Embassy in Warsaw not getting a visa . Next time he'll come and b.... at Brits for not getting the right pay over there. Merrick, you'll never be happy in your life with your attitude. There are many things in the world that annoy me but I don't make people of any nationality reasponsible for this situation. Blame it on politicians.

Justyna69, why do you allege I sound 'very frustrated'? And why do I allegedly make us Polish people look stupid?

Are you smart enough to answer my questions?

Are you another born-in-Poland, but nort really Polish selfish coward who in order to please some foreign Polonophobes is ready to thrash other Poles?

If so, then it's you who should get a life. And truly, it's types like you who make us Poles look stupid.

I'm not afraid of being Polish and I won't keep quiet and apologise for the fact that I exist when any Polonophobe slights my country.

As for the Americans, great many of them, including 'freebird,' are Polonophobic racists. That's a fact.

re: Merrick is one of these guys who made bad experience with US Embassy in Warsaw not getting a visa

- Prove it.

re: Next time he'll come and b.... at Brits for not getting the right pay over there

- How do you know what'll happen in the future? Are you any psychic, or what?

One thing is sure: you're a Polonophobic coward, scared all the time about what the foreigners should think of you and ready to vilify other Poles when they act in a way that endangers your insane perception of the world.

I'm going to speak and do what I deem proper, and it's none of your biz, you Polonophobic wynarodowiony selfish coward.

Pretty tall words to say about Freebird where are the facts?
I doubt most Americans are Polonophobic as they don't have enough contact with Poles, only in Chicago and to a lesser extent New York. Furthermore most Americans don't know what the word Polonophobe means (fear of Poles?)
Merrick  - | 34

The fact that freebird is racist towards us is that he makes a big deal of burning the American flag by a few alleged Poles. He doesn't explain who they are - 'antiglobalist' (read: commiefascist) wackos, who very probably aren't patriotic at the least and may hate Poland as much as any foreign Polonophobe.

Now hate towards America is rampant in the world, and there are much worse cases of Americanophobia , e.g. in South America, the Arab countries, than the burning of the American flag by some commiefascists in Poland.

Do Americans (including freebird, if he's American) go to their forums and scold them for their anti-Americanism? Never heard of that.

Yet freebird makes a big deal of a case of Americanophobia that is a piece of caske compared to the aforementioned cases in Venezuela, Brasil, Egypt and elsewhere.

Besides, the expressions of Polonophobia in America are thousand times worse than our expressions of Americanophobia. Doesn't freebird know this? If he doesn't, it would mean he's not intelligent at all, but his postings actually show that he's intelligent (enough).

You doubt most Americans are Polonophobic? Have you ever been to America, including the 'special case' of American state called Canada?

Alas, your doubting doesn't change the fact that these folks are Polonophobes. I'd be happy to provide tons of evidence in this respect.
