I love a man who is not afraid to show his true self.

Shewolf must run off in search of prey but she will return...

Oh yes, I came across your thread the other day. I felt like invading somebody's date so I left immediately. It was called "Where are you" or something so do go round that topic if you don't want to feel embarassed. Or do go there if you're poetry fans :)

im in realtionship like that im polish and he is irish:)i have to say u need a time to understand each other especially when your love is from different country, and distance doesnt help as well so feelings have to be really strong to keep it going, and better is not thinking about future coz its a difficult topic..if we ll decide to be together one of us ll be far away from familly ect..

at the moment is fantastic:)

I've been in 5 Polish relationships now, I find it easier to get on with the Polish girls, I find English girls big headed and generally unattractive. My current relationship is the first one where the girl hasn't lived near me or with me, she lives in Poland. It's very hard and im going to see her again for a week.

Basically she will be coming to England in the summer so I'm looking forward to that.

She's only 19 and I'm 27 but she's very mature (not to mention beautifal!!) and I hope it works out, but if it doesn't I will no doubht find another Polish girl. I want to get married in the next 5 years, i will marry a Polish girl in Poland.

time for my confession ;-)

Im polish (born and raised in Poland), 28 years old and my partner is french canadien aged 40. I must admit there are a lot of differences about basic stuff between us and some of them are quite difficult to deal with. Sometimes I have a feeling that we look at the same thing and see something totally different. I will not even mention that we are both very stubborn .. oops I just did :)

we are both very stubborn

Has it ever occured to you that when it comes to confrontation between nations and cultures we all appear a little more stubborn than normally? That's true of me, at least...

I think it works in my case as well Bossie :)
I would never suspect myself of being soooooooo POLISH no matter how strange it sounds...
I always claimed that I fit to everywhere and my hierarchy of values is universal, but I AM POLISH deep in my blood :)

It's within us, it's what defines us .. whether we realize or not we'll always be Polish. No matter how hard we try to hide our identity, imperfections, or personal trails - we will always be the way we always have been.

Sometimes I have a feeling that we look at the same thing and see something totally different.

Sometimes that is what attracts us to other people .. the actual differences in age, perspectives, opinions = simply put "a change", or chance for something opposite from our every day lives

hey.. this is definitely the thread for me. I too am dating a Polish guy who barely spoke any English when I met him.. now we are living together, but its not been easy. We love each other but there are so many language and cultural differences that lead to arguments at times. Also I know that his family will never accept me as he left his wife for me.. but Im not a bad person and we love each other... any comments welcome

I have just started a fun relationship with a fantastic Polish man , lot younger than me , he was very honest and told me he had a wife but had been separated from her for over 3 years ..... but I already have misunderstandings as I am not sure how strong his feelings are for me - Polish men sound very romantic and a lot more emotional than English guys , is this why you love your Polish man despite all the difficulties ? thanks for your help - gabyx

Im polish (born and raised in Poland), 28 years old and my partner is french canadien aged 40

I am 46 and my Polish guy is only 28 , do you think this will matter to him ?????????

gaby, I find that many Polish men don't care about age difference as much as other men do. It's not surprising that he is interested in you.

Nor do the many American men that I know :) Most of my friends like the classy older woman.

really ? It is not like that in England , all the English guys around my age in their forties just chase around the young girls.

Well, this is also true. I think younger guys like the older women...maybe 20-30 and the older guys like younger women.

Until such time as we realise that we can't catch them anymore, whereupon we all take up golf and buy unpractical sports cars :)

I agree. I'm 89 and my polish bf is 24. He loves me very much. We have great sex and he makes me feel like a teenager. Never had so much sex in my life. polish guys are the best to have sex with.

Thank you. One day I will go to Poland to meet his mother who is only half my age but that doesn't bother my Przemek. I can handle her too. He loves me and that's what really matters. He wants to marry me soon. I don't know what's the hurry, but I love him. We live together in the US, his visa expired and now he loves me even more.

Strange....
