Translations are like women, they are either beautiful or true-blue. ;)

I don't know, probably because I don't get his sence of humour either.

If u want more sophisticated English humour, especially social commentary and analyses of current affairs, try John Bird and John Fortune. They pretend to be certain characters, e.g the latest was an investment banker, and they perform their sketches very cleverly.

This is not 4 u lovers of raw, slapstick comedy like Benny Hill but it's possible to like both.

I guess that's Rory Bremner as their style fits his. He was quite funny.

I wonder if most Poles would like Alexei Sayle

did he post something funny

Not really.

I don't know, probably because I don't get his sence of humour either.

You're not alone!

It's all about having a colorful sense of humor?
Or is it about having a colourful sense of humour?

There are some people that try too hard to make people laugh. There's a guy at work that tries too hard to make people laugh but what he says and does most of the time isn't that funny, although many of us force the laughs. The only time I laugh is when he takes the **** out of this muslim guy. The ones that don't try too hard are usually the most humourous.

Not a big fan of tommy tiernan, dylan moran is just so effortlessly humorous, his observations are much more clever and unique, tommy gets off on his own comedy to much and throws to much cursing into his delivery, but as with music etc, its all subjective....conan o brien is another comical genius....

We also had this guy who was so needy for attention and used a quirky style of humor constantly. It just pissed everyone off and eventually they started telling him to **** off being a prick .....With Ireland as perhaps England, if you aint funny your a nobody. Its all about the gags im afraid....

Then look at this. They make fun of a slogan used by a party to win the elections. They sing ''there is a better Greece and we want her.''

Again, its the "mockery/carry on" type humor that i never really found that funny, the italians are big on this kind of humor, there's nothing implicit about it.

Brits have a lot of pressure to be dryly funny as the myth goes. Most are not. Forced is DEFINITELY not funny, or clever, or charming. I want to smack smarmy little tw@ts who can't complete a sentence without trying to be a comedian.
