Actually I really like Polish humour in films, there are many great films and Alternative 4 is great.
I find that during communism, Polish people had to be very clever to hide the fact they were taking the mickey out of it, so they were very creative and funny but today's crap on telly is rubbish.

I suppose difficult times give birth to creativity.

I do think there are massive differences in all nationalities as regards sense of humour. It may be one of the biggest difference, to get the humour you must get the country's history, mentality etc...

I think some people are just better than others at crossing cultural and linguistic boundaries. My boss finds it difficult to explain anything to the Polish chaps at work. I, on the other hand, find it much easier, even when I don't know how to say something in Polish. I found the same thing with Czechs, Slovaks, Lithuanians and so on. If I don't have a laugh with my colleagues, it's tantamount to failure on my part. If words don't work, then I often resort to mime or other forms of visual humour.

well i didnt find it funny, did you? its like some guys like to check how far they can go untill it's gone too far. that is not funny, it's annoying, and it gets even more annoying when they refuse to give it up. im happy to joke, but there are things im not happy to joke about. if irishdeano is so obsessed with a dominatrix whipping his ass all night long, maybe he should stop joking about it and just get one?
