Life / Condoms and the Catholic church in Poland [83]

So you are calling a Polish teenager leftist, Hmmmm....strange!!!

What is so strange?

It is obvious that HIV incidence in Poland has become so tremendous due to catholic church.

Exactly!

History / Jews...and their Polish experience [520]

This is human nature in action. Do you think that treatment of Polish minority in Germany or German minority in Poland were so great? Currently when Zionists realized they dream, the Jews should realize that they are not better than other nations. How many Jews would wish to get rid Arabs from Israel?

One cannot blame all countries. Some like Poland have not much too say. Bulgaria or Spain for example saved many Jews. Although I suppose that number of Jews in these countries wasn't that big.

I never heard before this story about Greek Jews. I will try to find what is about later. Franco did saved many Spanish Jews from German hands. He was awarded by Jewish institute Yad Vashem with the title of "gentile". I believe the Jews analyzed his biography before granted such award.

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

However the general consensus is that the Earth is warming and man is to a certain extent influencing this.

And scientist argue to what extend, very small or maybe bigger.

responsible for the well being of the occupied civil population.
Your Jewish commission admits that Jewish army was responsible for not “protecting” Palestinians, therefore failing responsibilities assigned by the GC to the occupying force.

I don't know much about this case, so I wont comment. However one could compare your description with Srebrenica and behavior of the Dutch troops serving for the UN.

irresponsibility of EU concerning Kosovo can bring the whole repulsive thing back.

The question is whether the EU should take responsibility for this case at all. What is their right to decide how to resolve this conflict?

History / Jews...and their Polish experience [520]

The EU is founded upon 'pillars' as laid out in the Amsterdam Treaty and it doesn't take a lawyer to realise the extent of their powers.

This is exactly what makes me worried, soon Europeans will have even less influence on Brussels bureaucracy than Americans on their goverment policy.

That party, LPR, the clearest political expression of anti-Semitism in Poland, denies anti-Semitism exists in Poland. Here are their youth members giving a Nazi salute. LPR’s response was that they were ordering beer.

LPR spent two years in goverment and more in parliament. So one could ask you to provide some political evidence of their anti-Semitism. I suppose that opposing invasion of Iraq is not anti-Semitic? Perhaps they are not Jewish-lovers but neither should be target of vilification. Because those youths (three or four of them?) were not even party members and had zero influence on party politics.

Other question is that for example drunk goos-steeping and making Roman salutes English football fans are just parodying Germans. While drunk Polish members of MW doing something similar are Neo-Nazis. In the same time they are accused of being anti-German as well as LPR itself. Where is logic here and honest analyze?

The problem lies in the enforcement of Regulations/Directives.

Poland joined in May 2004 and will definitely get help with the interpretation of Environmental Directives

This is one of main reasons we I love the EU so much. They produce millions of useless regulations and nonessential directives with speed of machine gun. Taxpayer sponsored bureaucratic nightmare. They create imprecise directives that can be interpreted. Lawmakers whom act in such way should be simply fired because they are incompetent. I think that regional structures know better what they need to change to improve environment than Central Committee in Brussels.

Who gives the church the right to intervene and dictate something that should be decided by the individual?

Why do you comment issues that you have no idea about?

Most of British folks, those who complain about our church have very little knowledge about it. I'm a Catholic and somehow never felt their supposed "dictate". If you reject some values shared by Catholic people then nobody force you to live among them. Why do you expect them to change to fit to your wishes? All Catholics here willingly follow (each one to different extend) teaching of the church. Also I can assure you that you are not the only educated person in this forum.

If I want to learn about French revolution then I read books about French revolution. If I want to learn about the Jews and Judaism I read a books about these issues. The same about Catholicism, if you are really willing to learn something you need to read some books. In the internet forum you could ask for example whether myself or somebody else recommend something on this issue.

Don't tell me you dont remember that video of the Maciej Giertych's** assistant in a field at night with a crowd giving a straight-armed nazi salute with a burning swastika in the background and chanting 'seig heil'?

This is another trivia. This girl was never member of the party, neither true neo-nazi. Some not very bright women sometimes blindly follow their boyfriends. She was immediately fired anyway. Again she hasn't any influence on party political line. If LPR is so bad as you claim then you should find some serious political decisions aimed against the Jews.

Seanus

I believe in God and I'm trying to follow the teaching of the Catholic church. I'm Catholic because I was born in Catholic family and to this day neither atheists or other religions ( I plan to extend my knowledge of this issue in the future) sounds convincing to me.

It depends what you understand when you write "political organization". The goal of MW is to spread certain values among people that will later participate on political arena.

Of course that these cases are trivial and those people have zero influence on party policy (Could you admit this? or proof me wrong otherwise...) Assistant is not a serious post and seriously who on earth would expect young girl to attend such "events"? Old Giertych had bad luck, that is all.

The problem with these accusation is that some people dislike some political parties so much that they simply cannot objectively describe them. If you don't like their political line this doesn't mean that you need to vilify your political opponents. Sorry but some distance and coolness is necessary... After all, I don't support LPR either.

Very interesting. Especially correlation between temperature and CO2. Rise of temperature causing with significant lag rise of CO2 emissions and not otherwise.

This is an interesting argument about global warming and the risk of non-action URL

This is just global scare argument. How about such outcome that indeed human can change the climate but currently his influence have positive consequences. So if you would went in opposite direction, catastrophe is also possible in theory.

Beside of that version A, may destroy developing countries, especially Africa. One could draw here catastrophic visions as well.

USA, Canada / 2008 U.S. Presidential Election according to Polish and foreign people [90]

I also think that Ron Paul is the only candidate worth a vote. His voting record in Congress is outstanding, suggest that he is independent rather than marionette like Bush.

- His foreign policy would put off the US from the target of Islamic radicals and save a lot of cash in budget. (bring troops to home and stop subsidy foreign states)

- Abolition of income tax would improve financial situation of American taxpayers.
- Ron Paul support free speech and is the best guarantee that remain if he would be elected.
- Being Polish, I hope that he would show an alternative to awful socialist bureaucracy practiced by the EU. Decentralization and deregulation would improve American economy and hopefully force European countries to stop this insane bureaucratic machine if they would want remain competitive.

Giuliani is a Catholic

Giuliani is a catholic by the name only. I think that vast majority of politicians just pretend to be religious. However in this case, this is obvious that he is not even if claims otherwise. Guliani not only support homosexual agenda but also backs abortion business what completely disqualify him as a Catholic.

UK, Ireland / The Changing Face of Scotland - we need more immigrants! [178]

The problem lies with the Polish govt in increasing salaries

I'm quite sure that if we reject possibility of eventual military invasions, the only way how Poland could not overtake so called "west" is that our bribed politicians would move more towards western standards of economic mindset. Government do this, goverment do that.

News / interview with Donald Tusk (Financial Times) [41]

Cheap talking. Where is action ?

All the liberal reform 'canceled" and when I read about some projects of small importance it sounds simply socialistic. Those people sounds like they would never read about liberalism. This just confirm what many true liberals in Poland knew long time ago. Politicians from PO are just opportunists without clue, self-proclaimed 'liberals' probably because they cannot compete with PiS on socialistic demagogy.

PiS is not really socialistic in economy

Generally I agree that they are all the same sh*t. Perhaps PiS is not socialistic in economy in some loony way. However like PO and SLD they worship bureaucracy, they are control freaks that cannot imagine a country without huge bureaucratic apparatus. This is also essence of socialism.

News / Poland adopting the Euro, but when? [65]

Poland will have the Euro but there are not specific date at the moment, then it's not that different. They could have it in 2009 like in 2013 (probably around 2012)

Hopefully they will set a date around 2112 and the EU will collapse in the meantimes. :P

History / Jewish love towards Poles [389]

This is silly and prevents serious discussion om these issues. Firstly some people obsessed with anti-Jewish paranoia (in this forum mostly from outside of Poland!!) spread their love message. Later some Jewish nationalists read this and this just confirm in their eyes what they always thought about those ugly Poles. So, both groups start to argue and their stupid comment do provoke some more reasonable posters to enter "discussion" and lose coolness. This spiral of love spreads later outside of internet forums and that is how Polish-Jewish friendship is flourish.
