They earn much less than males in comparision to other european countries ... that is why they try to prove that they are like male.

No, they just like getting pissed for the same reasons men do. Same with shagging. Women seem to enjoy both things just like men.

Most people who criticise the NHS dont seem to have negative experiences themselves but base their opinions on newspaper headlines(true as these may be).

Every Polish person I've spoke to has had better experiences with the NHS than with the Polish healthcare system. They're always really surprised by this though are probably just happy that they dont have to carry a wedge of cash into the hospital to bribe people with like they do in Poland.

My dad's idea of 'Slav chic' in the 1980's was European leisure pants, a mesh vest, kung fu shoes and wrap around Rudi Project cycling glasses - perhaps a revival along those lines?

Brogues with tracksuit bottoms and a woolly sweater anyone?

Its difficult for Poles to dress well though as outside of the major metropolitan areas the shops are lousy and the cost high relative to income.

There was a footage in that program, of a man licking the nether regions of a man-statue. I'm sure if that would have happened outside Poland the guy would go all the way... ;)

Exactly. Maybe Polish people dont appreciate the cultural sensitivity he was displaying in not buggering the statue from behind, as would be the norm in Britain on such an occasion.

Unfortunately I can't help you with that, but I think it's worth mentioning that this ban isn't really against British tourists but against British stag parties.

Fair enough. The reason alot of Brits have stag parties abroad is because a group of 10-15 guys wouldnt be able to get into a bar or club in Britain.

Whenever I've been to Krakow though most groups of Brit guys I've seen are quite keen to go out of their way to emphasise that they're good boys and deliberatly tone themselves down. This is still too much for some people though.

If they are living and citizens of the country why are they still referred to as only Polish?

The number of Poles who are British citizens is tiny. I've never met a Pole here who would refer to themselves as British just because they've lived here for a few years.

One question, can they vote?

If they are citizens, yes. If not no. The same as the US I imagine.

Lets face it if they have lived there since 1950 what are the chances they can go back to Poland now? Most have homes and established their lives over 58 years.

We definitely dont allow people in their 60's to join the army in Britain.

If the UK is so demanding, Why not Poland.

I think you'll find that Poland is far, far more demanding especially regarding citizenship.

Look at the uniforms..They fought under Polish leadership but as elements of the British Army..

Yes, but we cant have units like that in peacetime. We had Polish units because both Poland and Britain were fighting Germany and Poland's army had ceased to exist as an independent fighting force. None of these conditions exist now.

People should remember that the Mail is a paper that hates everything. They were the biggest critics of Princess Diana when she was alive, calling her all sorts of names. The minute she died she was on the front page everyday for a year saying that she was a saint etc. The paper is for curtain twitching old dears who live in fear that their neighbourhood will be overrun with foreign hoards, eating funny smelling foods and lowering the value of their property.

The Daily Mail has become a bit of a joke now in the same way that people used to joke about Sun readers(fyi-The Sun is the top tabloid in Britain)

An interesting thing is how the Sun has actually reacted against the Mail's actions and been pro-Polish, even producing a Polish language version (Polski Sun) which they have never done for any other ethnic group.

tbh though foreigners will always say they like Scots more than English/British as the Scots have successfully managed to make sure that anything negative they did in the name of Empire they did as Brits and anything successful they did as Scots. Scots played a massive, some would say disproportionate, part in the British empire when it existed. Mel Gibson wont be making any movies about that though.

Oh please, Poland's culture is being erased by rich white capitalists and American-style commercialism/consumerism, and all the other western isms you can imagine., I was dissapointed coming here, to see Warsaw, and to a lesser extent other cities look like any other european city. the only difference is that it's predominantly slavic.

This is an issue in Britain where people have started to notice that every high street looks exactly the same. The same clothes shops, coffee shops and fast food restaurants. Local governemt are the only people that can stop it.

Masks98, are you using your avatars as some sort of modelling portfolio or something? Maybe try an over the shoulder look for the next one.;)

But what actually surprised me is that the story of something so rediculous was printed in Australian News paper. Australia is so far... why so? Or how fat is this new paper? :) ... so much news they must put... from everywhere... Or do they concentrate on Poland?:)

Turns out it was the PC brigade in the office (all white british folk) that made this rule without consulting the muslim faction in work.

This is the case with most instances like this e.g I remember a local council banning xmas decorations in case it offended Muslims. The media asked the local Muslim council what they had to say and they were p1ssed off as they said it was the sort of thing that gave them a bad name.

...well that and the bombing.

There are Jews with blonde hair and blue eyes. Kirk Douglas is a Jew. Paul Newman is a Jew. Dennis Waterman (British actor) is a Jew. There are palestinians with blond hair and blue eyes. Hair and eye colour was not the criteria which decided whether you went to the gas chambers or not.

I'd understand if most people only have a superficial understanding of Nazi racial selection, but not someone who claims to live their life by its tenets.
