History / Mass Grave in Malbork [34]

Before the war? Surely:

You live in Germany your opinion is bias=P

And I think the mass killings by the Germans in WW2 must have been some of the most grotesque disgusting inhumane events eveer

Language / SZCZ and ŚĆ HARD TO EXPLAIN [19]

I honestly cannot hear the difference but I can pronounce the difference
This was something I learned when I went to Poland I noticed the soft sounds ć, ś, and ź were pronounced with the front teeth together, while cz, sz, and ż are pronounced as English ch, sh, and zh.

Life / Facebook - is it popular in Poland? [22]

No it's not popular there, Polish people have their own sites that are similar which they prefere to use....although facebook has recently been translated into Polish so I assume the popularity of it is growing

Language / Feminine Nouns Ending In A Consonant [11]

In German though, interestingly, they DO (.. and women traditionally didn't hold any there either--:):

German nouns are a pain in the ass, atleast in Polish you can tell most genders by their endings, but German is a lot of guessing=/

Language / Expressing "happiness" in Polish [29]

Why are the word endings the way they are? What sort of grammatical thing is going on there?

It's genitive because you say it as if you were saying 'Zyczę Ci szczęśliwego nowego roku'

Language / (part 2) Polish Language Pronunciation - Sample Words and Phrases [311]

A polish person told me that people in the north and south of Poland tend to say it as a ordinary "e", whilst people in central Poland tend to say it as "en".I wonder if anyone else can confirm this?

I went to Southern Poland and most people there pronounced the nasal sound at the end of the word which is probably why I do too but I am not sure if it depends on geography or not
