POLISH FEMALES PREFERABLE TO MALES?

More than once I have heard it said, from both Poles and foreigners, that a Polish girl makes a much better companion, fiancee, spouse than does a Polish male. It seems there is more demand by male foreigners for Polish lasses than by foreign females for Polish lads. Any comments?

Again, we descend into generalisations. Judging by what I know, I'd never trade my fiancee for anyone. She knows how to fix things, cook a variety of dishes, take care of admin/bureaucracy, keep order in the flat and is very loving. What more can you ask for? I'll let others tell their story. I've heard that Silesian women are close to the most practical. Oops, a generalisation again :)

Naturally one could run a survey of 1,000 people (the minimum sociologically acceptable sampling with a 3% or so margin of error), but even that is not conclusive according to many. All I can say is that I have never heard any non-Polish female who has had contact with Poles say "Polish males are great". You hear of Latin lovers, hard-working Scandinavian spouses, and compliant Jewish husbands (yes, all generalities!!!), but never WONDERFUL POLISH BOYFRIENDS or HUSBANDS. One does however frequently hear the virtues of Polish womanhood being extolled.

Generally speaking, women go for well established men not the other way around. This isn't just limited to poles though - females are the more "choosy" sex, and in this century $ is a desirable trait.

Haven't we already covered this topic? Deja vu anyone?

But it's strange that when you know Polish people living in Polonia and they end up with a Polish boyfriend it's kind of coincidental

What I really had in mind was not the intra-Polonian situation, but rather the way Brits, Nordics, Italians, Dutch, Germans, Arabs et al (dunno about the Irish?) seem to go for Polish girls, widely seen as smart dressers, passionate and compassionate, ibntelligent, helpful, responsible, competent, hence good potential wife and mother material. On the contrary, by and large, the females of the above nationalities do not seem overly impressed by Polish menfolk who must come off as nondescript and lacklustre. Is it because those females are mainly after ₤₤₤, €€€ or $$$???
