These Irish people would be alive if it wasnt for mass immigration.

UK, Ireland / Polish man sought after murder of Irish man! [36]

RevokeNice

Yes, if they where not here my murdered compatriots would still be alive.

Compatriots would be alive if there were no Poles? A little OXYMORON OF A STATEMENT. Please clarify your logic, honestly, I'm at a loss?

If it was not for mass immigration these Poles would not be in Ireland to commit murder. Capisce?

Your supposed logic is ridiculous! Save it, I don't think the capability of any sensibility will ever be possible. Illiterate, as well....

Love / What is your opinion on the Polish Ladies in Krakow? [82]

But I have experienced this inferiority complex with Polish Ladies outside Poland several times. Manifested by sarcasm, criticism, smart-assed comments, and general disrespect, and poor low-level communication.

Should I even bother going to Krakow?

John, I think it might be best to stay home and re-group. Attitudes may be a reflection on how your presenting yourself. It sounds like you need to evaluate if your ready for any interaction with a WOMAN...Being happy within yourself would be a start.

UK, Ireland / Friend told "just allow your son to forget Polish" by school. [96]

[quote=Cardno85]Supposedly if you speak a second language to your child they are likely to pick up on any mistakes you make. So it is better to speak your first language with the child.

Children are sponges. They are able to learn both languages without accent, confusion, it increases your ability to learn (smarter).. I think it's truly a disservice not to have children learn as many languages as possible and continue to reinforce their heritage and culture.

A couple I know adopoted two twins from the Ukraine, 12 years old, the new parents are 62 and 56. I'm very troubled about their approach to teaching the children English..They DO NOT want the kids speaking Russian. The kids came to my home on Sunday and "the mom", asked that NO Russian be spoken to them. They have called the orphanage and they actually taped the conversation so they could secretly have them translated? I don't think it will confuse or delay their ability to learn English.

Jihozapad

at the age at which they are most easily able to learn, is idiotic

I agree full heartedly. From personal experience, my son's kindergarten teacher embraced diversity, loved sharing all cultures to class and encouraged children to be bilingual. Amazing teacher! At the end of the day, he even has the kids say good bye in as many languages as possible (the kids know atleast, 10+ ways to say good bye: on their own.) He has a Doctorate and stresses how important it is to speak as many languages as possible. Children, have no inhibitions. It's harder to learn as an adult. Foreign Languages are required in schools as a prerequisite to graduation. Colleges require it and it is such a bonus later in life. His teacher even sent two versions of information home in English and in Polish ( I think that's shows respect) The school news letter has it in two languages together (Spanish..why this was singled out?) Lastly, He was given a book in Polish and asked to have it translated, he always asked how to say many words.

Life / What really represents Polish people? What would be the symbol of Poland... [51]

I need it to put it in the cover of my research... so it needs to be something that you can design...

***IDEAS: 1ST BRAIN STORM- WITHOUT STOPPING OR ANALYZING- take all symbolism of Poland and write, sketch as many ideas as possible.
Next: intuitively focus on your objective of project and rely on what you gravitate towards. Don't limit yourself to 'placing value one over the other.' Although, you feel your placing importance over another-your not- and that makes your project limited.

You've stated your leaning toward Syrenka/Mermaid? Will that capture the Polish Spirit?
Focus on what Poles truly stand for..Good Luck..Would love to see finished Design!

lol im 13 and im not kidding

It doesn't sound like you are. Your 13 and want to kill yourself if a guy doesn't like you? Puppy Love.. You have your whole life ahead of you. Never let someone else determine your happiness. You can be anything, your just starting out. Don't rely on anyone, but yourself.! lol? I'm serious this isn't something to say. Value your self. That is a solution that will haunt every one that loves you. Take Care. Keep talking. It sounds like you need to.

Life / How much Zloty to have an average life in Poland? [98]

na raty..?

Its called "na raty"...

If one has been smart with money and not living on credit, doubt the na raty.. People
that have money usually know the value of money and how to use it wisely. They
probably can live on half, but actually are capable and have the means to spend more.
Security with money is the best. It is interesting to hear the varying costs of living.
Should atleast, get an average depending upon where you live and life style and overall,
plan.

News / Does Poland count in Europe or is it ignored? [428]

Dear John,
So glad you diverted your attention from women.

changing and losing its identity.

Poland never will lose it's identity. It overcame too much and has a will that can"t compete with other EU nations. It already has and will continue to be strong.

Love / My Perfect Love Story so I thought [73]

This is a hard time for you. Yes, you invested a lot into this relationship. Trust is the foundation of a relationship. Be strong. When you find yourself thinking about her, remember the pain she caused you. This is the first step forward. Next, live life and cherish it. You have your health, good heart, and family. This wasn't meant to be. Your True Love is waiting for you. This special person will appreciate you. To truly have loved once is better than to have never loved. To have found your one true love, once in your life is a miracle. You may feel that you loved her, but she truly hurt you. That isn't Love. Don't make the mistake of giving up. It's not the solution and it intensifies your dispair, because you add more negative feelings. Perhaps, take a trip. It will do you good. Do something for just you. Have fun, laugh and think of your new adventures. Good Luck to you...If you love her, let her go.

Real Estate / Selling in poland, how do i get money to USA paying little or no taxes? [8]

Get it in cash and sew it into the liner of your suitcase or coat.

get the money from the sale of this home to the USA -paying very little

Once in the US, (if you want to put it in the bank), deposit under 10k, otherwise it is automatically reported.
Personally, I'm a cash person. Nothing illegal, but I like my privacy..!
Funny story: I like keeping hundred dollar bills. I fold them in half until I have a 1k and just keep going.. I literally, did it until I had 100k. I wanted to buy some real estate. I went to my mortgage broker and I jokingly told her I had this money under my mattress. "Mattress Money"....

Love / Polish boys - are they handsome? [46]

good shot.

I agree.

#1
Im just curious - What the UK girls think about polish folks ;)? are the good-looking

Be humble and confident. Locale of women isn't going to change the impression they have of you. Rephrase "Polish Boys", not the best verbage. Generalizing is opening yourself up to trouble.

News / Polish transfer of Family Estate in Will? [14]

so anyone who is excluded or gets less than an even share in a will can demand that the remainder of the inheritors pay compensation of 50% of what he/she didn't get - it's called "zachówek".

Next question: Does it count that his brother received a home already while he was still alive? He has documented to attorney that my husband still lives there? We want to keep the family home and not sell it. His brother on the other hand, will only care about selling it and the money. We told Tata we don't want to deal with it one way or the other after he's gone. We would prefer to know now. His brother is so disrespectful and could care less about his father. My grandfather started distributing who he wanted to have real estate and investments while he was alive. I told my husband that maybe we should have him give/by it now to avoid problems later.

History / Bielski Brothers - does anyone know the story? [38]

Recently, just watched Defiance. Yes, it is controversial, but it does provide an insight into the survival of Jews. Fascinating true story. It's an epic of family, honor, vengeance and salvation.

History / Bielski Brothers - does anyone know the story? [38]

No its not, the movie is a lie glorifying a bunch of thugs and murderers.

Worthless information unless you want to argue that teaching your kids how to survive as a Jew in WW2 has some merit in everyday life.

Kids should be educated about history and WWII. I didn't deem it worthwhile or worthless. Merely stated the concept of the story. I didn't go into the Politics of the Bielski Brothers.

I did state that it was about vegeance. Yes, Murder was involved. It does make you question what individuals and a group will due for survival. Do you wonder if it's your last day or due you try to survive? Can you live with what you don't condone and commit the same atrocities?
