Life / Does anyone here know anything about fiat 126p's / maluchs? [7]

I still think a motorbike engine would be a better option :)

I know but its not as cheap as you think unless you have a machine shop in your back garden.Buying the engine and electrics out of a write off not a problem, its the mounts and transfer box(depending how you want the drive)Saying that there are some clever people who will probably do it on a shoe strig budget.Ill wait till Xmas when im back over in Poland and pick mine up and get in the damp garage pit and take a look.Chichento sporting engine possibly easier?

Love / Advice for meeting her Polish parents! [44]

I remember going to my now wifes parents for the first time. She had taugt me how to hello and nice to meet you to her Mother and Father and I just said hello as I was a little nervous using my new found words(not any more).

foreign whiskey for the Father won't hurt

I did a bottle of glenmorangie he hated it (didnt tell me to my face )

Making friends with the dog is important

I tried its an Alsatian it tried to fn bite me.(we are now friends)

yeah, the food part is important for the girl mother, so better like it :-)

Could not agree more. This was not a problem for me as I love my food.(I draw the line with sour milk and flaki)

Like others have said be youself and enjoy the experience and do make an effort on a few basic words in Polish like Thank you,Good Morning/Good night,Yes please and no thank you.It will go along way for you

Very poor news as that leaves Ryanair (not an option for me ) or Easyjet which the prices are going through the roof.Looks like a long drive for Christmas or a very long time in a coach :-(

Just found this article whilst browsing local news.

Wieslaw Edward Filus, a Polish national, aged 45, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton, was found dead in his bedroom by flat mates. Police were called to the address shortly before 8.00am on Saturday, July 18, 2009.

A post-mortem examination on Saturday concluded Mr Filus had been assaulted, which resulted in a brain haemorrhage and his death.

Life / Can you keep a right hand drive car in Poland? [57]

Also you may need to extend some of the wiring harnes as some lhd and rhd drive cars have the fusesbox steering wheel side and therefore the loom will not be long enough. To be honest I tinker with cars and if it was a project car I would do a conversion but for a daily driver I dont think it is worth it.

Here is a pic of a dash harness I removed from a VW mk2 Golf G60,this does not have the luxury of airbags and fancy gadgets so quite a basic loom
