News / Poland's Growth Fastest in 10 Years [95]

I dont think you can accuse the Poles of being cowards. They have always stood up for what they believed in.

Just ask Tinky-Winky.

UK, Ireland / Great Britain vs England, Ireland, Scottland, Wales [37]

Yeah i read about their plans to blow up Jamie Oliver's restaraunts. There are some fruitcakes in the world. I heard that they have financial backing from America. Who the hell would want to fund a small Nationalist party who are intent on destroying restaruants. Gordon Ramsay???

Yes you do seem like the sort of person who only has the guts to fight a very drunk person. Or should that be you seem like the idiot who likes to fight. Either way you are coming acroos as a complete moron.

Looks like you could do with the help of an English teacher or maybe those words should be replaced with doctor.

UK, Ireland / Unemployed due to Polish who work in the UK [126]

Do you feel bad about us English people going to different countries and taking local peoples jobs at language schools, or buying vast amounts of property and pushing up prices for the locals. Do you feel bad that the south of Spain has been turned into a mini Uk with people singing get your Ti** out evrywhere and throwing up in people restaraunts.??? Im guessing the answer to that is no. Its not a problem for us to do this to many other countries but when someone dares to come from another country and try to get a job its a problem. Polish food in shops??? No no no??? What ever next??

You lost your job because the EMPLOYER wants Polish staff, you have 'less' selection of food(by the way im sure the Polish food takes up about 6 shelves in a shop) because the SHOP wants to make money.

Go find a new job and do something to help yourself.

shops are now stocking polish food, giving us English limited choice in our shops.

Wait a minute... Shops are stocking a new type of food and you have LESS choice??? Something doesnt add up here.

I disagree. Most Polish English language teachers know far more grammar than most Native speakers because for us it is harder to explain. Also I have met many Polish people with heavy English and American accents who could do the job just as well as a native speaker. It makes me feel sorry for them because they might spend 5 or 6 years of their life studying to be a teacher and have a very very good accent, but get turned away because of their nationality. (the point that many English people are complaing about back home)

Maybe because youre not interested in becoming an English teacher. Sorry you have only meant low standard teachers but there are many good ones around. With regards to grammar its one of the most important things for a teacher to show his or her class.

The rest is just pronounciation, which anyone can do if they have a good accent.

Life / Renewing my English passport in Poland [23]

So I know I have to check the embassy but I was just wondering if anyone here had to do this before. I heard from them that it takes 4 weeks to renew but isnt there anyway I can get it done quicker than that? I would have thought the embassy could do them the same day, however I have to go to the passport office near Palace of culture and not to the embassy.

Life / Renewing my English passport in Poland [23]

That would be great if it is the same day. I need to book my ticket back to Uk for a month and the lack of a valid passport is holding me back.

Thanks!

Language / A Native American or a Native Pole: Who is better into which language? [116]

How do you survive not knowing a single word of Polish?

Who said that I dont know a single word of Polish? Michal you are the best source of free entertainment I know off. Everything that comes out of your PC is comical. Thats why I like to 'Argue' with you, as you so well put it.

It seems that you believe if someone does not know how to insult a black person in Polish then they cant speak Polish.

I wonder, is your wife allowed to read what you write on here about Polish people?

Language / A Native American or a Native Pole: Who is better into which language? [116]

It is not really an insult as far as I know

You believe the word nig.ger is not an insult.

If you do not want to learn the language

Once again when did I ever tell you that I dont wish to learn the language?

I would imagine that as an English speaking person on your own in Poland without a knowledge of the language you are a pretty lonely guy

Actually you would be quite suprised. Most people in Poland can speak English. Did you know that they have lots of language schools here and also learn English in secondary and high school?

Well Im starting to wonder. Seriously though I feel very sorry for his wife , this is the women he says he loves and yet he can say nothing good about her country or her people. Also imagine having to live with this guy and listen to his ramblings all day and night. I bet he doesnt even stop when he has taken out his dentures and gets into bed.

not taking away a Polish person's job.

If there wasnt a native speaker here then clearly a Polish person would be working in this job. Do you understand?
