Life / "I love you" in Polish culture... [36]

I hear it often. I say it often. And I always mean it.

To me, I think it's how the person says it or how the other person takes it. I love my family and friends truly; obviously not the same way as I love my significant other, but love them nonetheless.

Of course I wouldn't say I love you to someone I hardly know. I'm going to say it to people that are important to me and whom I really care about.

I think love means differently to different people. We don't all share the same thoughts of love, do we? Love doesn't have to be the same meaning in everyone's minds. As long as it's meant.

So, I'm with you by not just throwing those words around.

its probably incorrect but the way i saw it was my mom is 100% so i got 50% from her and my dad was 50% polish 50% ukranian so i got 25% of both which makes 75% polish and 25% ukranian.

now someone yell at me and tell me how stupid this reasoning is. ;)

how would you know how to pronounce it, if you never heard it:)

lol I know it doesn't seem to make sense. But, for example, the "sz" I read that it is pronounced like "sh" so that way when I read a "sz" I'll know how to pronounce it. And anyway, when I reaaally have a hard time, I ask my boyfriend to help me pronounce things. So I learn either way =]

Well, I think it's different for everyone. It depends if you're a visual learner (essentially a reader) or an audio learner. Myself, I am a visual learner. It's easier for me to learn a language by first learning the alphabet & pronunciations by reading. It's hard for me to learn by hearing because I'd rather see how to pronounce it.
