Love / How honest are Polish men? [26]

No, Kocham, you're not spoilt, 1-bedroom apts in those bloody grey, gloomy blocks are relict of communism, when you were waiting for your 'M3' as we called them, for years.

Love / How honest are Polish men? [26]

Not everybody, but some really do. In some small town, neighbouring to my village, lives a black guy, and so far he has survived :) Times are changing, slowly (some people still are bloody racists, as in every other place in the world) but even more people get past it.

Love / Polish interracial dating [333]

That's normal, I wish you all the best. I don't know, why some people are so prejudiced against mixed relationships (especially between Polish women and British men), it's THEIR lives and THEIR choice after all.

Love / What kind of girls do Polish men like, and why? [30]

I thought they are called gold diggers, aren't they ?
But they gonna be there as long as there is demand for them.

Nevertheless, I won't find any girl, since I'm as poor as a church mouse :)

Work / Job opportunities in Poland for a foreigner? (other than a teacher) [175]

I'm from Opole (well, from a nearby village), and all I can say to you that it was the main reason for me to move out of there - local government are bunch of ars*holes who don't do anything to attract investors, they only occupy their own tenures and don't give a sh*t about the people. You won't find a job there, mate, unless you're some hi-tech engineer (e.g. IT) or a manager or someone else of that sort. All interesting vacancies are taken by 'acquintatives' of those who can tip them off, and very few people from 'the outside' are given good jobs, let alone foreigners. I think that only way for you there to get a job is working as a native speaker (there are several language schools in Opole). Sad but true.

Work / Job opportunities in Poland for a foreigner? (other than a teacher) [175]

I don't know exactly how much you can earn in Poland, it depends on your location (best pay is in Warsaw and large western and southern cities, perhaps Poznan, Wroclaw, Upper Silesia Agglomeration, Cracow), monthly salary can vary between, say, 2000-5000 ZLP. Its a payment for graduates, if you have more experience you can earn up to about 11,000 or even more.

These are good and very good salaries in Poland, and it's rather pointless to compare them with American or British ones, for living expenses are entirely different.

Genealogy / Is Rafal a Polish Name? [56]

Rather add endings like -ek, -cio, -ik (Rafalek, Rafcio, Rafik), you've got many possibilities here.

UK, Ireland / polish girls outnumbers polish men interms of relationships with native from uk or ie [178]

Getting back to the thread...
Why Polish men aren't popular in the UK & Ireland amongst women while polish gals are sought after by men there ?
Well, IMHO a Polish guy in these countries is considered as a poor-English-speaking, low paid, without having a snowball's chance in hell for a promotion at work, dirty proletary, that's why.

Yeah, you're right, money is not all, but you go out and clash with reality. And it's not all about money, it's mostly about who you are. Even more Polish women complain about Polish men, so I'm feeling kinda being in a tight corner here :)

I think however that Polish qualifications are valued much less than British ones, that's why I still can't get any good job here, only cleaning, factories and general work for somebody with basic education.

Life / Whats driving like in Poland? [70]

Ah, you're talking about 'girls' here ? If you're in Poland and 'hungry', you can always check my neck of woods - the road between Opole and Strzelce Opolskie. You'll always find some 'company' there. If there isn't anybody, it means they're busy

Polish gals sit around at their homes, unless they're interested in fishing some Briton, maybe they're too scared to go out, this is beyond me :) And Polish lads like very often to go out, believe me :) But perhaps they're too scared or/and shy to kick off a conversation with a British girl (e.g. me :) )

Tese are my teories about Polish singles in the UK :) If somebody thinks different, I'm not going to argue :)

Language / Polish Present Tense [16]

Ivonka, if you feel like teaching foreigners Polish language, then do it without ortographic mistakes:

Śpiewam tą piosenkę

Śpiewam TĘ piosenkę

polish seem to get on very well with English men.

That's a point, it's much easier for Polish girls here, for they're quite popular amongst Britons, but Polish men aren't that popular, besides I think that women look at men in an entirely different way than men perceive women. Correct me please if I'm wrong :)

UK, Ireland / I understand poles coming to uk [196]

Ola, give it a break. Blaming Britons for 'selling us to Soviets' is rather pointless, just because at the end of the war they had not much to say, the main players were Stalin and Roosevelt, furthermore, western Allies planned to invade Yugoslavia, but Stalin didn't agree, so they had to choose northern France, and that is why we fell under Soviet occupation.

It's a good thing that the UK has opened its job market for new UE countries, I think it's good both for British economy and for us.
