There's nothing wrong with German. I have one or two German friends, but I've never had the urge to learn any more than please, thankyou, and guinea pig.
I want to learn Swinka Morska in every language...
Meerschweinchen (German)
Cochon d'Ande (French)
Tangerimalac (Hungarian)
Mochyn cwta (Welsh)
etc.

Answer: it seemed like a good idea at the time.
German words are too long.
French only sounds nice on a lady.
Portuguese I quite like (the Brazilian dialect), but there's no-one to teach me.
Polish? Well, I accidentally went to Poland a few years ago, and quite like it.
Then I went again this year and really liked it.
Working with Polish people only makes it easier.
And it goes without saying, I'd heard of this girl called Wyspianska, so I had no choice but to learn!

I thought about dying my dark blonde hair black so I could pose with my guitar and look like a rock star

Statistics do not show Poland at the top.
I was suprised how far down the list Poland, the UK and even Ireland are.
Beer consumption (let's forget about wine and spirits for a second) is the highest. (No suprise there.)
But it is drinking habits that form the stereotypes.
In France, a huge amount of wine is consumed quite sensibly.
The UK, Ireland, Denmark, a few other places, are the home of the BINGE.
I have drunk in Poland with 19-21 year olds who drank quite sensibly - 4 or 5 bottles on a Saturday night sort of thing.
I've also seen some old boys sitting round the back of a shop drinking solidly from dawn to dusk.
I also drank some lovely 95%ish spirytus. The kind of stuff that should have a 'No Smoking' sign on the bottle!

but then, what do I know?
I think "jedziesz" is correct when talking to a person ,but if you use pan or pani then you use "jedzie".
