Food / TINNED CORN (MAIZE) GALORE IN POLAND [11]

We grow corn everywhere here in Wisconsin.
We grill our corn, we boil our corn, we eat it from the cob.
We have sweet corn, bi-color corn, field corn, black and white corn.
We feed it to our pigs, cows, chickens, ducks and horses.
We have corn roasts, corn fairs, corn mazes, corn growing out of our ears, but we never put it on a pizza. lol.

That is why there are so many Polish jokes because the Poles can't take a joke. Lol

Life / Polish people more caring? [20]

There are all kinds of people everywhere, some caring, some not.
But there is some truth to the fact that family is very important in Poland. Here in the US the elderly parents are sent to nuring homes, while in Poland the family most often takes care of them.

Travel / Few questions - Canadian-born travelling to Poland in less than a week [9]

I have heard it is unsafe to take a train in Poland - is this true?

Nobody is going to attack you, it's civilized country. The only thing you have to be aware of is if they know you're a foreigner and have something valuable, there might be slugs that will try to steal it, but that rarely happens, so just watch out for your stuff. But nobody ain't gonna kill you!

People in Poland, specially in the larger cities, are used to all kinds of tourists and are treated well.
Maybe don't carry I-pods or expensive cameras which could get ripped off easily and attrack attention to you. But generally you have nothing to worry about.

Presenting your drivers license or ID is good enough.

USA, Canada / Work ethics in Poland vs US [66]

I had to learn and use both the imperial & metric systems at school.

So did I. But who says one is simpler than the other?
In America you build houses out of 2x4s. In Poland they would say: what the kurwa is that?
They laugh at how we build "stick" houses.
So they should go back to Poland and build their concrete homes if they don't like it here.

Love / Is sex with Polish guys different to sex with English guys? [173]

This is like one of the dumbest topics.
One Polish guy might be good, another bad. One English good, another bad.
The chic has sex with the bad English guy and good Polish guy, so her conclusion is that all English are bad. Another one the other way around. Who cares???

This is a racist topic, next come the blacks, jews, chinese.
Does it really matter?

Life / The Polish senior citizens [10]

They smart. They figured out that everyone takes a dump now and then why not make a profit from it?
