I'm not sure if I agree. There's always tons of veggies and fruits in the produce department of Super Wal Mart. Did you know the agriculture industry actually destroys crops to keep the price higher? Thanks to crop rotation and tropical climates that allow year-round growth, there's year round access to fresher produce. Processing is necessary for food preservation is a myth. Maybe it was true 200 years ago but nowadays you don't need the canning process.

Some foods need processing, like whole grain bread and brown rice but most of your diet should come for the produce department. You would be able to see in the dark at night if it did.

Nutritional food is what's good. Junk food can be expensive and doesn't have the vitamins and minerals we need to function. Ironically, the less processed the food the cheaper it is (you don't pay people to change or process it in some way, just harvest it) and better it is for you nutritionwise. Fat people can have poor nutrition despite having more than some meat on their bones.

Better to just tax it all and use the revenues to prop up health care. Just give the excess to the health insurance CEOs in the form of subsidies and say it's to insure the overly weighted :)

You can't force people to do anything. What you do is use the same dirty tactics that got them hooked on junk food only use them to get hooked on health food; Methods of advertising and propaganda in the media. It obviously works otherwise people wouldn't be so addicted to fast food. It would take a generation of brainwashing tho'. That kind of deprogramming doesn't happen overnight...
