Life / muslim community in poland [430]

stopped buying from yourkind, though I got used to Döner and Falafel. I buy spanish olives only ;) Nobody need yourkind here. And you should be happy that some people are that honest.

our kind is white ya fruit cake!!

I dont sell olives!! and I dont really buy the green ones either..

Doing the physical jobs mostly of course there are some who are especially potent in bed.

so this is a admission of guilt that you pretty much use women and test them to see what they are like in bed instead of just marrying one and keeping your morals in check...

makes me sick that some men can run around and call women names like hoars when they are the biggest sluts of the earth.. its ok for them to do ten chicks in a 2 month period, but if a woman has sex she is bad..

why dont ya put a label on yourselfs!!

I don't approve religion, race, mixing its wrong in the long run.

I hope your right.. over time i guess this is correct to say.. but the economy is still bad. people are still losing jobs, homes , food prices rising, the only plus is gas went down.. but that now seems minor compared to the ailing economy.

News / Interview by Krzystof Darewicz of Rzeczpiospolita (Polish Newspaper) [22]

quote from interview:

When you asked me what's changed since the 11th of September of last year, what I answer is that there is a commitment around the world to ending terrorism, to ending excuses for terrorism, to ending the financing of terrorism

state.gov/p/us/rm/13396.htm

my opinion..

true to extent -Poland , Britian, few other countries, but not around the world was there support..

As opposed to the Christian country that started a war in Iraq,

you make a generalization of America.. dont include me in this, i dont/didnt/neverdid/against/opposed..

Just don't make all Muslims accountable for the actions of a tiny proportion of nutters. It's equivalent to someone holding you or I accountable for civilian deaths in Iraq.

just like you shouldnt use A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY and hold us all responsible for the nutters who waged the war.. get off justys back.. she made valid points and your so wrapped up in the same old discussion bringing innocents into the mix of the debate.. we all know both have innocents.. fek your argument.. she was talking about the difference of the terrorists.. which she is right. they use just about any method to kill.. no matter whos in the way, how they have to do it and they are taught as children to do this!! how many so called Christian groups teach children in the USA to kill ? and if they do, someone snuffs them out and they are jailed and plastered all over the news so the whole country can see what idiots live like !!

I think you grossly overestimate the proportion of Muslims who are involved with, or support such activity.

she was talking terrorists.. and theres a larger number then you think, if there wasnt such a large number , I am sure that the northern alliance could have taken control of the situation a long time ago..

kinda silly to send our guys for only a few small number of terrorist..

A large number of fighters forming part of this organization (the numbers vary between 15,000 and 160,000) had a reputation of being the best equipped of Afghanistan. General Abdul Rashid Dostum received support from Uzbekistan and from Russia. He had formed an alliance with G. Hikmatyar in 1994

fas.org/irp/world/para/northern_alliance.htm

how can such a large alliance not be able to control the taliban and other groups with such a large number of fighters?
if you say that there is such low numbers of terrorists.. show some proof..

OH but you cant, because the number is alot higher then you thought!!
and this number has been growing since before 9/11.

I think I have addressed enough.. I have some more to post in a new thread.

Law / My father is 100% Polish, mother is 0% Polish. Citizenship in Poland. [29]

I have a strong drive to improve myself and my condition. I was taught work ethic. I'll be damned if my hard work is going to pay off for somebody else. That just won't happen.

you really need to take a good look around you and see whats happening, those jobs which are outsourced were jobs that those people who dont have jobs now is what your paying for.. so how about talking to the big boss and telling him that our sourcing was not a good idea after all. then all that big money you dont want to help save your fellow American with who has a family and doesn't know if tomorrow will bring food for his family

we all have a strong drive, but when a machine which was made from technology replaces a man, thats one more job lost..

when I go shopping, I refuse to use the do it yourself line, why? Not because I am lazy, I feel its my duty to keep going to the line which has a cashier, this secures her job/ or his job which is slowly getting replaced by machines and guess how many people are running it? yep,, one and how many cashiers lost their jobs? or were let go? probably 4 to each machine created ...

I say boycott the machines!!! <~self scanners.. sorry peeps I am tired.

I'd suggest you take this opportunity to go back to school and study politics and economics so that you do not make such asinine comments in the future.

he dont need schooling, he needs to go to a shelter and see all hungry people who lost homes, jobs, etc.. a good swift kick of reality..

How do the polish girls view the turkish guys ? Im curious

this topic has been discussed

use search option please.

and fyi,, I dont know why you would ask such a question, if your a jerk you will not meet people , if your nice, you shouldnt have a problem.. skin color is ones personal choice, I dont think anyone here is qualified to speak for the whole female population in poland alone.. you just have to use your better judgement .

its not rocket science.

History / German POWs after WW2 - did the allies commit mass murder? [228]

Then u shouldn't assume Pat19. Look at BB's posting above,

I didnt assume anything , your wrote it and I responded..

maybe your the one who is very 'pyskatliwa' even though I dont know what that means, I am sure it isnt very nice.

but I ain't standing for it.

neither will I, especially when you talk double standards.. you applaud the men but you are against having any kind of day which salutes their efforts of keeping our families safe..

you know as well as I do, during war, people die, its awful, gutwrenching , we all hate it as do the men who have to go, who do what their country tells them to do.. unfortunately, theres casulties, what I dont get is how you can say that and just be referring to vietnam and Iraq when wars have been going on for centuries and before technology and before we all became smarter as a nation, they used to ambush one another, and women and children would die in the midst of battle because thats what people do to have power.. if anything you should have said, minus our greedy leaders, I salute our war heros that do protect our citizens.

without them you wouldnt be alive today.

I wasnt the only one who became defensive over your post.. I am sure I wont be the last.. we only asked that you please think before typing, maybe you didnt mean it, but you didnt say it in a way that was understood correctly and it was easy to mis-read your post.. so get off your high horse ya du/pa.

History / German POWs after WW2 - did the allies commit mass murder? [228]

Oh, I applauded them and MANY times Filios.

thats all you need to say, our economy is so bad right now the only thing left is to join and make your bed as you might not come home, few of my cousins are going not because they have to, want to, but because the only job left after shrubco and company is the military..

I dont think your realize the full impact!!

like shopgirl says, think before typing.

and why wouldnt you want to honor someone you love coming home from a war they didnt want to be involved in, but dodged bullets to come home, made it past land mines, captured someone who was holding a gun to their head.. went to a place they didnt want to go, but because their govt says we have to , they went and made it home in one piece, and they weret involved in anything bad, only that they were another American citizen who went because he had to..

those in afganistan were called to duty,, in case your wondering.

Trust me, I thought it through. Defend their country?

why cant you get off the iraq * as people are still there now* kick

veterans,, people who served, regardless of why /what it was about?
do you think those who served in veitnam wanted to be there? not at all
but do you think we should condem them for being drafted?

some of it wasnt by choice, so your wrong there, we do draft , and thats not free will, so they go they serve , come home to a empty negative person like you.. gosh, I would just love to be in your family with so much negative going on..

even though I was forced against my will to go serve to save your arse.

now wyspy,, this is who you would call an old * blank blank.. but I wont because I am trying to be good.

tell ya what seanus, go get some comfort food, because you really sound like your having a PMS DAY...

Seanus, please think before you type.

yes, please do, MY father was a war veteran, uncles , friends of the family who kept America safe as well as many other countries whom needed our help and should be honored for the service they did not only for us but for those who needed them.. you might not be a apple in your daddys eyes if things were to have been differently..

News / Candidate of "Hope and Change," Breaks Promise, Leaves Poland Defenseless [47]

So it looks like the President-Elect is a package deal of a worse economy AND a worse foreign policy. Great.

just looks like a stupid attack at our new president who isnt even able to do anything at this time, and many citizens in poland werent all for the missle base anyway, it was talked about for a long time and even while they did talk about it, they had decided against it during talks with bush.. I think it would cause more problems and so do alot of other people. the promise was made between bush and kaczynski not obama, hes just getting thrown into the mess, bush shouldnt have even started the process knowing hes not going to be in office much longer.

and I think the economy is more important across the globe Vs a military base in another country that is going to cause russia to be on edge.. the intentions right now are to get all of us back on track, thats what should be the focus..

Why all these generalizations?

southern.. are you taking your meds today?

get with the program.. ok.. no one said anything general. I merely stated his ability to do harm to others as she did.. now your all up on a man kick.. when really we should all be kicking you for being such a stupid man right now!!

I mean if he has a certain behaviour towards one girl,it does not mean he will be the same with another girl.

again , he wants her to help him do this. this means before he has even met the girl hes planning to keep her around for future sex excursions while hes with a innocent / unknowing polish girl and yes southern he is doing it to both of them!!

I thought you were a smart man, but you have thus proved otherwise over and over

shut up!! this is extremely important for her safety!!

shes asking for some very important help,. if you cannot provide this then get off the thread now!! because your only making yourself look bad ..

Life / COFFIN PHOTOS FROM POLAND? [11]

were one or two showing the deceased in an open coffin, so clearly the tradition is still alive in his region. Never liked the idea, myself.

yeah I thought it was morbid, but when you think about it, all the photos taken during WWII of all those starving people suffering, photos taken during veitnam of men strung in trees the apparent suffereing they endured, pictures of dead bodies floating in rivers. photos of dead isnt really just a common practice for just poland because photos are taken of bodies found ( unknown) to identify them, some who might not be identifiable all around the globe..

I wondered the same question, but what mazza says makes sense , because I have heard and our family also owns a picture of a family member who died back in the start of the 30s unexpectedly.. none of them know why this photo was taken, but now seeing a photo like that, it makes sense that they would take a picture with the family around the casket looking at the camera.

Love / Such a mess with my polish boy...:( [30]

It's just like you say, he is clinging to the past with his teeth, and all along knowing she doenst want to come back..

is this like his first love? cause those are really hard to get over.

I would distance myself from him if I were you for a while. your enabling him
by talking about the very thing you shouldnt be talking about her, but you and him.. she shouldnt even come into the conversation.. you feel sorry for him hes going to keep feeling the same ( sorry for himself ).

he works long hours, so he tells you to bury the feelings he has for her, this isnt healthy thinking. hes basically telling you I dont want to give up on my own so I will use whatever means drinking, work, drowning in something to get her off his mind, but reality is, hes not faced the truth of why she left him and thats whats preventing him from moving on.he has to accept that the marriage wasnt meant to be and if he believes in god and believes in real love he will stop worrying about why she did it and let his heart open up to a new life with you.

and you need to be a lot more firm.. sometimes with some hope, if he realizes he could lose twice, they wake up .. I dont really know what else to tell you , hes the one ultimately that needs to do something.. I give you alot of credit, your situation reminds me of me, except my husband wasnt married.

let me only say this, I let him go, and although we were friends, I loved him silently and the real blow was when he dated one of my friends ( which I warned him about).. after a week the lesson was learned, I kept loving him silently, and even his best friend knew, and asked why, I said I dont know, I just do. and one chance moment we went camping together with mutual friends.. the spark lit up again.. few months later we got together.. I didnt force the spark, it just happened , even though it was always there for me, it was like a awakened dream and I slapped myself a few times to see if it was a dream, but it was real :)

anyways. I hope the best. maybe a step back for a few and let him come to you.
he knows you care, the rest is up to him.

Love / Such a mess with my polish boy...:( [30]

And stupid me is so in love with him and it has now been a year since she left him.

have you told him of your feelings? or are you scared this will ruin the friendship you have now?

The problem now is that he seems not to want to get better.

thats a battle you cant win, only he can make this decision .. maybe if he knows the truth about your feelings his world might not cave in on him as he sees you as just a friend, but maybe a little tougher love towards him might bring him out of it and realize he doesnt want to lose another person in his life he cares deeply about and who cares the same for him.

pills and medications and drinking isnt going to take away the realization of what happened, he has to deal with it.. hes drowning himself in self pity and its time to open up the straight talk and lay it down and let him know how you feel and what hes doing to himself and that if hes willing to help you help him fine..

his heart will mend, but he has to let it mend, hes keeping himself in the past .

I find the older generation much more pleasant to deal with. It is the younger ones who are so arrogant and defensive.

now a days maybe thats mistaken for spoiled..cell phones, computers, etc etc

technology is to blame. and im not saying they all have these things. but those who do .. its hard to say really.. but you can run into these types of people anywhere. not just poland..

News / I support creation of Great Poland [134]

When I meet a Pole that is actually honest about Poland faults

what do you want them to do? tell you they hate it too? come on..

no nothing is perfect, maybe your approach was all wrong, ever think maybe its all in how you present it?

if you were to say, I am not used to so much cabbage, its really getting to me, people would prob say, well theres a good resturant down on such and such street, how bout that?

you have to remember your on a polish forum and people here are pro poland
MOST... and when people are saying they dont like the food, thats just you complaining, your not going to get the whole population to agree with u on that.

as for govt, well I am sure you will get takers, every govt so far has its negative and real estate.. pros/cons.. as for polish people being racial, I believe some are, but maybe older folks, not so much the younger ones.. but its only because they dont understand it.. its not because they have a real reason to hate.

anyway, my two cents..
