Food / Chicken, leek and pineapple salad - Polish recipe [3]

my wife always makes a huge bowl of this salad so that it could last for a day or too.it never lasts for longer than a few hours:)

I had Leek slaw ( salatka pora ) at e.leclerc and it was my favorite! I am looking for a recipe that is close to it and I can't find one. Anyone out there know what I am talking about? I miss it! It's Leek Slaw ?? Help!

hi there. i can't remember if i wrote about it or not.if yes,i do apologize if not here it goes.
the recipe is very simple.cut leek into rings add chiken and chopped pineapple.stirr with mayonesse season with some salt and black pepper.i use sliced chicken sausage but cooked chicken might be ok too.i am not sure though.i think that it's taste is quite sexy.

I'm not controlling or posessive, but if some guy was chattin up my gf I think that I'd be skeptical of it as well. Especially if I notice she getting very close to someone for 5 weeks

i would be sceptical too

as for the "closeness" {which i never said, READ>> better friends(hanging out more)} we would meet for a beer, go for a walk, nothing more. once/twice a week maybe a few hours at most.

this is how it starts.i wouldn't like my wife to have a male friend whom she would be walking or sharing problems with. i am her husband.

so she is an idiot to stay with him. He is Muslim and she will never marry him, and i can see the stereotypical abusive relationship with both parties.

i don't know the details but i think that you will be allowed to buy some land in the west side poland in 2011(7 years after we've joined the EU).in the east there are no restrictions on buying a farmland by a foreigner.

I've been wondering, the UK is quite a multi-cultural place, not only from the people who live here, but also the language and food, amongst other things.

40 procent vodka!c'mon guys this stuff that you drink in the uk a mere 37.5% is for children.you gotta get tougher !

It is great to hear the Polish language on Irish streets!

sure it is.it is a free country and anyone can use their language freely but still,i can't see the point in changing the constitution of an independent country.little help-why not,polish schools-why not but just for those who would like to attend and when it would not collide with the local school programs.

its to let polish people understand more policys and insurance and things like that its also for the police department aswell. you will not be forced to learn it.

exactly-this kind of little help for newcomers would be much appreciated.

what bank are northern rock attached to if any in Poland to affect the exchange rate that much

i don't really know much about economy but i know that after problems with northern rock the pound's exchange rate went down very quickly.it could have had something to do with a few billion pounds which had to be poured into the northern rock chest by the bank of england to stop it spiralling down.northern rock's problems were just the continuation of what happened in the us-something to do with bad credidts and so on

what iam saying is that;
-iam against creating polish enclaves in ireland and the uk.this decision will encourage lots of poles to not learn english(why bother if you can do everyhing without knowing english)

-this would be like creating a country within a country
-tensions would rise between the poles and the irish/english
-i wouldn't like chinese to be our 2nd official language,say in warsaw,cos the chinese people have flooded the 10lecia stadium.
-everyone who want to stay in ire/uk permanently should learn the language
-i know a few people who's been living in the uk for 3 years and can't order a meal in the cantine.this is very wrong attitude.do you think that they would bother to improve their english after this proposition has been approved?

I remember 4 years ago £50 got me 650zl :)

no way you got that much.the highest exchange range i remember was about 7.25zl for a pound and that was before we joined the european union.it was probably 350 £ not 650£.

this rate doesn't put smile on my face at all.5 weeks ago i had to exchange pounds into zlotych to buy a flat.2 weeks before travelling to poland the rate was 5.60.when we arrived it went down to 5.35 because of the problems with northern rock so that i was fuming with anger but now i see that i was a quite lucky anyway.5.25 rate is really bad for us,poles working in the uk...

i strongly disagree with this idea.i think it's silly and will create barriers beetwen the 2 nations.it's completely unnecessary.at the moment everyone in the uk and ireland can speak polish freely.this decision would have made the irish more suspicious and hostile towards the poles.it's not that difficult to learn english and introducting polish as a 3rd official language would do more harm than good but it's just my opinion.

it's definately ok.i always bring some tea as presents to my family(aunties and my grandma) and they really like it.i would buy some tea in a metal box with pictures ,drawings on.
